I found the firefight varient a good starter intro. Smaller unit size, more forgiving unit downs (shot down units can get back up sometimes). A game can be about 15 minutes. Much easier to get started and can handle free for all better than full army. It uses mostly the same rules, so it's a good jump off to GDF

Gauss is a unit of measurement for magnetic induction or magnetic flux density, so a gauss rifle most likely fires some sort of projectile using magnetic rails or another form of magnetic induction.
Hello Ash from a fellow Canadian. Love the content you make. I'm a little late to this one but had a question. In the combat between the Robot Lord and your Dwarf unit at @ 23:18 your unit was reduce to half. Did you need to take a moral test before moving the 3" for wiping out the Lord? This may have taken away your activation for this turn and changed the battle somewhat or have I missed something? I know this report is months ago. Thanks!
Why not use the data card sheet from army forge? I find it great as a quick reference as it only has what you have on the board - you can see your weapons and special rules at a glance verses the army list - and none of that a,b,c, etc. for add ons
I’m sorry if you’ve already seen it but with one page rules and army forge you can print of lists with all the special rules you need at the bottom instead of having to print off the whole army list
A great battle as always. One thing to point out is that units can only ly be combined if they have the same upgrades. So you couldn't combine a Veterans unit withe a C-Beamer and a Veterans unit with a Plasma Cannon together.
Can anyone explain why at about the 14:30 mark, the bot swarms lost another two units? At first I thought it might be unit attrition, but they only ever used that for the bot swarms, not for anything else. I couldn't find anything else in either the bot swarm description, or the dwarf biker description.
@@Nick_Whiskey I'm stoked for Battle Sisters, though. Ratmen are cool, but still not enough units for me to be excited about it. As to your question, I don't know man. I just want them to release Dwarfs. I'm also really looking forward for Volcanic Dwarfs, to be honest.

You can because the combined unit restriction is only for upgrades that affect all models

Robot special rule; must roll for damage whenever they would fail morale

Fun battle, these rules really are easy to follow. I'm spoiled for choice for big skirmish games, especially with Xenos Rampant releasing any minute.
