These two need to dance together more often! A low center of gravity does wonders...
love zouk, love wcs, but zouk follower - like salsa and bachata, kizomba etc - dont know how to "dance on their own". Not saying swing is better, but in west coast swing the follower can really contribute to the dance, share their ideas - without backleading. Get it straight: it is not backleading, but the follower can ALSO determine what pattern will come and thus influence the leader. And a good leader will easily think "oh yea, lets do this". Zouk followers will follow like crazy, but as soon as you let them "go free" there is little to nothing coming back. Empower your followers!!! It is so much fun when ideas mix.
