Hey. 124 Spider here. Honestly, if all children in their first school years had heard this song and read the lyrics, I'm sure that today... all of humanity would be much more cohesive and kind to each other. I had never thought about how I got here, today, alive. If anyone still had doubts that Nightwish ARE THE BEST BAND IN THE WORLD, right now?. So I just have to say that humanity is no longer thinking for itself. It's the "NEW" AI that everyone talks about, but they don't even pay attention to what it means. NIGHTWIH FOREVER SINCE EVER.

My excitement for the upcoming album went up even more after this shining pearl.
Mike nailed it. That is Troy. Musical artistry at its highest level. Like a short and thought provoking movie.
And this sounds a lot like they haven't reacted to How's the Heart, acoustic version in Planet Rock. Having heard that they'd recognize Troy's voice!
A recommendation for that one. It's beautiful.

Step 1. Probability of a boy meeting a girl to have a romantic relationship with: one in 20,000.
Step 2. Probability of that same boy knocking up that same girl: one in 2000.

The vibe somehow reminded me of harvest.... I'm unsure why, probably something between the lyrics, the subject matter and how it's translated into music, even though harvest is a completely different type of song, much less heavy.

That diver in the water reminds me of Ocean Ramsey who has captured some incredible photos of her dives with marine
life like whales,dolphins,sharks etc.

This video reminds my of the TV show Sanctuary 2008-2011.
Nightwish has Jukka from Wintersun as bassist, the same band where Kai the drummer came from. And to complete Wintersun losses Teemu switched to Megadeth.
*By the way Teemu and Jukka, both, are still members of Wintersun. And I think Teemu is also still a member of Smackbound...* 🤔
@Marko_L_1977_ sure it does, as long as Jari lives Wintersun exists since he can always get session players if NW & MD won't let their band members tour with Wintersun

So the story is that Tuomas never liked how his voice sounded so he never included a mic in his setup.
When Marko was in the band, they incorporated Troy on vocals but he wasn't much of a singer so they gave him very low parts and little by little he has been developing his vocal which came in very handy on Human :II: Nature as he participated in most of the album and most noticeably in the songs "Shormaker" and "How's the Heart?". He also sang the song "Harvest".
As far as voices go, Troy is quite obviously the #1 pick for backup.
Fair to point out that bassist, Jukka Koskinen, sings as well but we won't know what Tuomas has done with that or even IF he did as I've heard that Jukka's style is more growls and guttural vocals.
As far as Tuomas is concerned I guess we'll just have to wait and see if he changed his mind about picking up the mic.
Hopefully there will be another single or 2 to look forward to before the release of the album.

Tuomas said that they went to record Floor's part at her home studio, as she'd recently had Lucy. They planned for a certain amount of time, but only needed *half*, such was Floor's preparedness. Rock on! 🤘😎👍

Not much to add to your reaction . . . this one isn't a Floor showpiece, but Tuomas uses her voice to wonderful effect, in the verses and in the chorus. The latter, I think, is all Floor, layer upon layer. (Who wouldn't love an entire chorus of Floors?) Can't wait for the album, and especially can't wait for them to go on tour again. Attending a NW concert is a bucket list item.

Good to see you folks again, I think this sounds a lot like Tribal and I am not sure the song stands very well on its own... great video though
The only comparisons with Tribal are the heavy drumming and the overall Nightwish sound. The story, structure and sound are completely different.
