  • I feel like I did the same thing with my C5 Corvette build. I got all hyped up and then nothing. It feels like I just enjoy having a project car inside the garage. My son is the one that motivated me to start again. He took his camera and said "it's time to go work on the Corvette. I want to take some pictures."
This time I took the C6 Corvette wheels and tires off and inspected the suspension components. Besides the front driver-side CV axle boot being ripped, everything else look in great condition: especially for a 13 year old car. I was debating whether to remove everything or just work on the C6 components as is, and I finally decided to remove everything. Over the next couple of videos, I'll be removing the upper control-arms, calipers, rotors, brake-lines, shocks, tie-rods, and knuckles, cleaning each of them, and painting whatever I can.

Tires are Delinte D7 Thunder, but I don't think the D7s are sold any more. So here are some Michelin's in the same size. Both will stretch but the rear will be pretty stretched to get the wheels to fit. Car is lowered on stock bolts.
