Ima be real. You gotta think outside the box. The new dragon dash they added is good for a couple reasons. 1:its fast and you can decide which direction to come for them at. 2: you have multiple options during the dragon dash. You can side step, smash attack, ki blast, basic attack, basic attack then vanish behind opponent. Maybe dragon dash, dash to the side once u arrive to bait an attack then gut punch. Or if they dodge twice then use a basic attack then vanish to the side and end up behind their back. You just face mfs who aren’t creative when they use it.
2:25 combo still drop , there some issue with what you saw in screen and the real game timing like old animations with new timing so its weird , and they should have give free dash like tk3 if they want to nerf the super dash
i really think they nerfed it to avoid people getting stuck in loops where they get knocked away and then get dashed behind and it keeps going. even if you can super counter, if the other player has an android you’re cooked if he can put you in loop
Honestly would rather deal with the old cheese than deal with the new burst dash. Completely unnecessary to make it cost 2 bars. Makes fights super awkward to me now
I adjusted rather quickly tbh tho I still have to get used to it completely. I definitely wouldn’t prefer pre-patch over the current gaming experience because dealing with AIS teams every single match in DP was a headache.

The ki advantage was already a deciding factor in most fights and now characters without that move will be at an even bigger disadvantage because of the burst dash change. I personally love winning fights with odds stacked against me but not being able to get close without putting myself at a major disadvantage before hands are even thrown is tuff

Healing is going to be a huge part of the new meta. Fought an S3 Freeza last night who literally just spammed perception, ran, and spammed ki blasts and when I would catch him and box him up he’d transform to get a bar of health back. Still ended up beating him tho but boy was it annoying.

Vanishing on the other hand is more difficult imo and vanishing blasts is hard for me currently because they’re slower so I have to re-learn the timing. I vanish beam attacks pretty good tho as they’re the fastest blast supers in the game.

Bro idk if its just my game, but it is IMPOSSIBLE to combo now, cuz my combos keep droping, only way is to cut em extrenly short, so u dont give the game a chance to fumble for you
It is because the change that lets you charge attacks mid combo faster, the charging is hypersensible and accidentally comes out dropping our combos. The workaround is pushing your buttons fast letting go of the buttons fast, or else and accidental mini charge will come out. They should make the charge less sensitive tho, I wonder if they even tested it, cause first 5 mins after patch and I found out my combos were dropping a lot.
Disagree bro. It’s more about footsies and neutral now. 2 ki bars guarantee the same dragon dash and it’s way better then both players charging and flying behind for backshots. I feel like the area of the maps actually kind of matter now. I’m finding bait and punish tactics that NEVER worked before. And I can see the massive difference in skill without ki spam and insta spark. The game is saying get in and use hands. Cause we not spamming energy blasts.

@Shabeast the latter part of what you said is true as far as throwing hands, but Z burst dash was absolutely fine before. The point of hands is to get em from behind. So z burst dash was the tool to make that happen. The game is too fast pace to be walking to each other every time from across the arena, that shit is ass. The tempo is definitely a lot slower when the intent of the game was to be faster. When it was first released, people wanted it faster. But we only got faster vanishing.

yea I tried to play yesterday and I felt like I was tripping. No reason for them to touch Z Burst Dash. Feels like an enitre new game that I have to relearn now, which I dont know If I want to do. I respect the update. I do think they could have just stuck to the important things like nerfing unblockables, fixing character select, nerfing 19/Gero, but to have to use so much ki just to dash to the other player makes the game feel lopsided
Im ok with burst dashing being expensive but what I absolutely hate is the side step buff. Everyone is absolutely terrified to even throw a punch because apparently side step just dodges everything now including ki blasts so the optimal way to play up close is just spam sidestep until someone misses. Not really because the lock on system is better. I’ve noticed when I use IT the opponent locks on to me way faster than they used to. Makes instant transmission useless.

IT real use is to close big distances and punish oponents for doing long animations from afar. Right now dudes love to charge ki from afar, IT punishes them for it, they can react to it but most of the time they won't if you are not obvious with it, free combo. Then also insta spark from afar gets punished by IT, another free combo. Also, after a smash o grab you can time a IT to get their backs and free combo just like we used to do with Z burst before patch for backshoot loops but now we can't cause z burst trash. IT is great, losing its cheesy use that was never intended in the first place is whatever.

I thought the same thing the day of the new patch, although if there is a new meta that could happen from the Z-Burst Dash change is fighters with Instant Transmission. Someway to keep ki without using the Z-Burst Dash.
The z burst was one of the best balanced mechanics in the game You could sidestep, block or perception it. And with good timing even counter with a rush super This is one of the bad changes they did Feels like they want us to go sparking mode so we can use it for free 2 bars is just....i dont know man

The game is gonna be much slower pace because nobody wants to burn key , it’s gonna be zone wars which means , Ui goku , and trunks and other characters w strong or unblockable key blasts are gonna be meta
idk why they seem to want to restrict movement so much.. it’s so goofy. We should have a faster and more free ways to cancel movement options and just move in general. It’s either spend a lot of ki to get in or move at a snails pace still spending ki to poke with ki blasts. I do agree with the z burst dash change costing more but the new dash does not compensate for it. Just make the base movement faster by a lot, no reason the maps are bigger but we move way slower it’s stupid..still w patch though.
I mainly do single battles, because I get more enjoyment out of it. The z burst dashes are fire now imo. It’s always super dash and super dash, the whole match and being able to lessen that down is great. Wish I could have more for when I get off a combo that drops. But even then. It makes it slightly annoying for all players. But it works imo, combo dropping needs to be fixed, there were times when the combo shoulda finished, and I miss a single hit and then I’m getting comboed and tossed like pizza.
Nerf Wild sense. It should reset them at a closer range or do less damage. If Afterimage/strike gets a nerf so should Wild sense. Especially since you cant just Dragon Dash back for one bar, I can vanish Wild sense but not consistently. So being knocked away as an android (I only play androids) with no Ki is irritating cause then I have to spam ki blasts to stop my opponent from charging and by the time I get back they just Wild sense or hold perception unfortunately.

Wild sense is fine for the most part, I punish it and get free combo 8 outta 10 times, lag make me don't punish it well sometimes tho. Maybe a dmg nerf would be good tho, cause some characters hit hard with it for no reason, Gogeta 4 hitting You for 3500 dmg with a single wild sense strike is stupid, then he goes for a súper after the smash from wild sense and go figure. But it aint that Bad, I would take wild sense over pre nerf after image strike any day of the week.

I was just fuming after a few matches I had with a Gogeta, I would have beaten him if not for the health advantage, but its okay I guess. It is because the charge smash mid combo got "buffed" to be faster. But this Made it hypersensitive so accidental charged come out mid combo, dropping it. It is annoying and they should fix it, make it less sensitive, cause right now if you happen to charge for like 0.2 seconds the attack button, a charged come out. Devs didnt even test their shit I swear, 5 mins into practice mode after patch and I quickly found out that annoying new mechanics was making drop combos.
Since launch, dragon dashing and approaching has been the worst way to play this game. I remember Acrilycz playing the beta in July and saying the worst thing you could do in this game is approach someone. You let them come to you. Zoning is an issue in higher ranks because people with skill know that approaching is a risk. Thats when it becomes time to not only monitor your ki, but the ki your opponent uses to blast you. This is a skill issue, not a patch issue.
Nahhh bruh, even at watching the match you calling a problem, you just playing predictable. Just fly up to him normally while ki blasting, then start to melee when you close in. You might need a few burst dashes to close distance too, but Gohan zoning shouldn't be that big of an issue. It'd be different if it was a Zamasu or a Trunks, like you're playing.
They should have worked on rage quits first before anything, it’s annoying how popular the game is and that wasn’t even on the update fully. Fuck it make me dislike the devs cause they mind on everything but the right shit!
tbh, you both were playing the distance game in the last match. Most of time he was shooting ki blast, but you too... Everytime he tried to short the range, you have punished him with unblockable ki blast. But this is a 100% patches fault... The game is punishing proactivity. This is very sad, i feel like all other changes were good (besides this and the health bug). What they actually should have done: Z burst dash should cost 2 for androids, and stay at 1 for other characters.
I could say talking crap to your opponent if they could hear you. But when they can’t hear you, you should just talk what you can do better and not necessarily how much they are goofy and do gay shit. Just better describe the zoning that they’re doing maybe. I know you are plenty smart enough to grow your channel and adequately verbalize your frustration without resorting to insults.

I was 1v1ing my friend last night to see the changes in game. Now that dragon dash is 2 bars of ki, it feels weird. We've been using ki blasts more than usual and we've been using characters that have full power charge. Honestly they should've left dragon dash at 1 bar. Literally who complained about that?

Speed the new dash up to near Z burst level and make it possible to cancel into a guard when you’re dashing, so you can bait perception and sidesteps

I thought the same thing the day of the new patch, although if there is a new meta that could happen from the Z-Burst Dash change is fighters with Instant Transmission. Someway to keep ki without using the Z-Burst Dash.

The z burst was one of the best balanced mechanics in the game
You could sidestep, block or perception it. And with good timing even counter with a rush super

@derstapel9782 I think they should try 1 1/2 tbh but I wasn't mad at it being 1 bar it was fine by me just to mix things up I feel 1 1/2 is the sweet spot.
The game is gonna be much slower pace because nobody wants to burn key , it’s gonna be zone wars which means , Ui goku , and trunks and other characters w strong or unblockable key blasts are gonna be meta

idk why they seem to want to restrict movement so much.. it’s so goofy. We should have a faster and more free ways to cancel movement options and just move in general. It’s either spend a lot of ki to get in or move at a snails pace still spending ki to poke with ki blasts. I do agree with the z burst dash change costing more but the new dash does not compensate for it. Just make the base movement faster by a lot, no reason the maps are bigger but we move way slower it’s stupid..still w patch though.
Don’t forget you can X + Square. Use all defensive moves

It’s easily punishable by blast supers I think. I’ve only seen players use it post patch to run away literally lol

I mainly do single battles, because I get more enjoyment out of it. The z burst dashes are fire now imo. It’s always super dash and super dash, the whole match and being able to lessen that down is great. Wish I could have more for when I get off a combo that drops. But even then. It makes it slightly annoying for all players. But it works imo, combo dropping needs to be fixed, there were times when the combo shoulda finished, and I miss a single hit and then I’m getting comboed and tossed like pizza.
Remember you can charge a smash, & when they throw ki blast your its uninterrupted.

Nerf Wild sense. It should reset them at a closer range or do less damage. If Afterimage/strike gets a nerf so should Wild sense. Especially since you cant just Dragon Dash back for one bar, I can vanish Wild sense but not consistently. So being knocked away as an android (I only play androids) with no Ki is irritating cause then I have to spam ki blasts to stop my opponent from charging and by the time I get back they just Wild sense or hold perception unfortunately.
You play Androids for a reason. You enjoy the advantages so stop complaining about the drawbacks.

So i will complain/ give my two cents because Im responding to what Don said in the video and just giving another perspective 😅

Wild sense is fine for the most part, I punish it and get free combo 8 outta 10 times, lag make me don't punish it well sometimes tho.
Maybe a dmg nerf would be good tho, cause some characters hit hard with it for no reason, Gogeta 4 hitting You for 3500 dmg with a single wild sense strike is stupid, then he goes for a súper after the smash from wild sense and go figure.
But it aint that Bad, I would take wild sense over pre nerf after image strike any day of the week.

I was just fuming after a few matches I had with a Gogeta, I would have beaten him if not for the health advantage, but its okay I guess. If I ever get too frustrated I just pull out #13, Im kinda shocked they didnt nerf him.

It is because the charge smash mid combo got "buffed" to be faster. But this Made it hypersensitive so accidental charged come out mid combo, dropping it. It is annoying and they should fix it, make it less sensitive, cause right now if you happen to charge for like 0.2 seconds the attack button, a charged come out. Devs didnt even test their shit I swear, 5 mins into practice mode after patch and I quickly found out that annoying new mechanics was making drop combos.
The dragon dash rush nerf is the biggest issue 0:25 i was sur it will be once i saw that cause the new move is juts regular rush dash 😅
Since launch, dragon dashing and approaching has been the worst way to play this game. I remember Acrilycz playing the beta in July and saying the worst thing you could do in this game is approach someone. You let them come to you.
Zoning is an issue in higher ranks because people with skill know that approaching is a risk. Thats when it becomes time to not only monitor your ki, but the ki your opponent uses to blast you.
This is a skill issue, not a patch issue.
Nahhh bruh, even at watching the match you calling a problem, you just playing predictable.
Just fly up to him normally while ki blasting, then start to melee when you close in. You might need a few burst dashes to close distance too, but Gohan zoning shouldn't be that big of an issue. It'd be different if it was a Zamasu or a Trunks, like you're playing.

tbh, you both were playing the distance game in the last match. Most of time he was shooting ki blast, but you too... Everytime he tried to short the range, you have punished him with unblockable ki blast. But this is a 100% patches fault... The game is punishing proactivity.
This is very sad, i feel like all other changes were good (besides this and the health bug).
What they actually should have done:
Z burst dash should cost 2 for androids, and stay at 1 for other characters.
I could say talking crap to your opponent if they could hear you. But when they can’t hear you, you should just talk what you can do better and not necessarily how much they are goofy and do gay shit. Just better describe the zoning that they’re doing maybe. I know you are plenty smart enough to grow your channel and adequately verbalize your frustration without resorting to insults.
I drop a lot to for no reason to idk but they need to patch that’s my issue an an tryna keep up with ki too as well
the new dash should just be the normal dash speed and the new one should be as fast as the z burst dash

I was 1v1ing my friend last night to see the changes in game. Now that dragon dash is 2 bars of ki, it feels weird. We've been using ki blasts more than usual and we've been using characters that have full power charge. Honestly they should've left dragon dash at 1 bar. Literally who complained about that?

i really think they nerfed it to avoid people getting stuck in loops where they get knocked away and then get dashed behind and it keeps going. even if you can super counter, if the other player has an android you’re cooked if he can put you in loop
