It's a milestone moment in the BodeVision Body Swap Series as we reach the culmination of the El Camino body swap onto the Honda CRV floor. In this latest installment, witness the meticulous process of finalizing the integration, where welding, trimming, and cutting are all part of the journey to make it work seamlessly. The dash had to be modified to accommodate the El Camino body's placement, adding another layer of complexity to the project. But as with any ambitious build, there were hurdles to overcome - I encountered a measurement error towards the end. However, quick thinking led to a creative solution, ensuring the project stayed on track. Don't miss out on this riveting episode filled with triumphs, challenges, and innovative solutions. Thanks for watching - remember to like, comment, and subscribe for more updates on this groundbreaking project
No worries of the miscalculation of the wheelbase. Thanks for keeping it real and showing us the mistake, why it happened, and the solution.
This guy better hit million subs this year deserves it and sooooo much more 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I could not agree more! Such amazing content and knowledge shared on all the uploads.
I could not agree more!!
Throw the ball for the good doggo plz
Pupper is like "quit yapping hooman and throw the GD ball!"
He was making a movie
My uncle would have tossed the ball
Why do I feel like this would be the outcome if BoostedBoiz got ahold of Mullet from Cleetus 😂
Seems about right as of late lmao. I still really wish it would have been a jet car...
@uurkisme Oh, I agree a jet car would've been awesome. But I feel the path they chose to go with Mullet and the achievements it's had these past couple of years definitely add on to why it was a good decision.
And hey, who knows? Cleetus is getting way more into aviation now, so maybe they'll revisit the whole "jet car" thing with a new platform
I dont think so, boostedboiz do stuff cleaner belive it or not. The last two videos have had my ocd going nuts. Totally unnecessary cuts and basically everything done backwards.
@@killerjulio Trust the process 🙏🏻
@@killerjulioidk,y did kyle have him finish his most iconic car, because bodie the man thats y😅
At the end the doggie is desperately trying to get you to play with him. 😅
Love the progress! AND, not panicking when something goes a little wrong.
Also, your dog was cracking me up at the end.
The amount of challenges that you need to overcome and how you solve them, one after another ... I really have much respect! I read a comment, few videos ago, from somebody saying that this has done before and so it shouldn't be much of a challenge to get this knocked out... I feel that person should try this for him/herself. This stuff is NOT easy. And everybody who does attempt such a ludicrous operation, will tackle the challenges differently. Every build is UNIQUE. This is going to be a wild ride, both in the endresult and getting to the endresult. Great stuff!!! Lovin' it.
BodeVision...the King Of Chassis Swaps!!
I agree
Need to let your boy boosted boy Kyle go ham on that honda motor ! He would do u right !
I'm a GM and Honda guy so this makes a lot of sense right now. 👌👌👌
Hugely ambitious project - with vast amounts of metalwork, welding, measuring, & test fitting. 👍👍
All projects have their glitches, full credit to you for showing and how you're addressed and remedied them.
Onward to the next episode where 2 become 1 (i'm sure that was in some lyrics by a well known girl band) !
More power to your elbow.🎆
Looks great dude!! The front fender line looks great! Keep killing it bro!
With the wheel base change because of the rear suspension squat, that’s what made fitting it over the dash extremely difficult for sure. What a bummer but great quick thinking on cutting the fenders. Huge win there!
This is so sick and I'm jealous af. Your monoman skill lol is outta this world, and competency too! Make me believe in myself a Lil more
A lot of people probably would never have thought of this, it's gonna be awesome!
Chassis swap classifications 😂😂😂
Lawful good = Bodevision
Neutral good = Casey's Customs
Chaotic good = Tom's Refurb
Oh El Chapo is looking so so good! Well done Sir!!
Making progress !
Coming together nicely!
Looking good brother, keep up the good work!
Damn man this is coming out fantastic lots of man power but worth it at the end 👌 #bodesqaud #projectcrmino
All this cool stuff your doing aside. Great setup with the hoist and drag line.
Looking real good there Adam, you seem to have pushed forward quite a bit in this episode so I can now see what this will look like when it's finished and it's going to look amazing💪👌👍John UK
Wow, it looks great Adam. Still a lot of work to do, but it's coming along! Have a good one! Dutch regards Nico.
The build is going to be another masterpiece!!!!
My favourite build on YT!
I'm definitely being spoiled now. I look at my other car UA-cam's and I'm like "is that all you did in 1 video?" Lol
Definitely not an easy swap! But you are very much making it work while making it look good. Can see smoother sailing from this point on.
Gonna start with a beetle to a porsche gt2 conversion pretty soon, I might need to do the same thing. Keep up the good work man, very talented.
I took his advice on this video and went a bought a key chain ticket for the V8 Honda. Now I have two. That is the first build I started watching Bodevision
Same. I never gave buying into the car give aways until this one.
Sick! I can't wait!
Only suggestion I have is to double up on the hearing protection. Plugs and Muffs when cutting and hammering metal.
Being the owner of a 1980 El Camino, you've got my curiosity up. I don't understand why lowering the vehicle would have made a difference in the wheelbase. Seems like it would be better to have shortened the floorpan, but I can also see that modifying the fender was probably a lot easier since you had already done so much welding the floor. Interested to see the end result.
This is an amazing feat of automotive engineering!!! I love how this is coming along. Wasn't sure about the dash cut but once you started, I understood where you had to make the cuts. Great stuff my dude 🍻
Cool build 🇸🇪
I don’t know why, but when I see it together it reminds me of the Holden Ute.
this build is amazing! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
El CRaVino? Ambitious but very cool!
This build is awesome. Just like the accord!
superb Quality
throw the ball !
I have a project like that for me was so big. Now with your advice I will try to do it. I'm going to put a 1967 jeep gladiator pickup into a 2001 Silverado pickup. I never did this project before.
I definitely need a friend like this guy.... keep up the good work bro
Looks good
The internet is absolutely flooded with people doing body swaps. Most are done very poorly and unsafe. I've done a couple myself. Not a huge fan of this concept. I perfer building my own chassis.
This one is a little interesting to me. It's a little outside of the ordinary. Plus I'm a big elco fan and just got rid of my CRV last year.
Keep at it mate.
I wasn't sold on the body position at the beginning of the episode but man,you do great work, keep it up,this thing is looking awesome. So elite
I'd trim the crv down to the floor, cutting up the mounting for the elco doors would not been my go to. Cutting everything out around the shock towers would have been what i done then it's as simple as adding metal back in, as far as dash cutting and moving the dash back wouldn't have taken up much more time than cutting the dash up did just saying. Looks absolutely beautiful though and thats for sure, you're killing it with the build bud.
At the beginning i wasnt a fan of this one. But i dig it more and more!!! Good job
i don't think it would have been easier to start with a Civic, because that is what a CRV is. The CRV was originally called the Civic Wagovan until 1991 (usdm) and it came with Realtime AWD since 1985.
I highly doubt it will get any quicker, than an OE Camino (or even an OE CRV!), but if I had a rolled CRV & a non-running Camino I would have done it.
You're making this look easy!
Always entertaining watching someone else cut stuff up and patch it back together. Good content. Not that I would, but I think a better method would be to completely gut the ElCamino down to frame and sheetmetal then swap the Honda drivetrain, systems and dash. Maybe keep the GM rear axle. Don't recall the specifics but S10, S15, Sonoma, Jimmy, Blazer whatever front spindles can work on a G body for 4WD. Might be room between the upper A arms for the Honda engine and trans. But way too late for any of that on this one.
Bro I love the crazy builds you do keep it up.. I watch a lot of these channels you and Casey's Customs are my top watched🤙🤙🤙
I'm glad you mentioned something about the Giveaway I almost forgot ! I just got Entered! Looking Awesome keep up the great work!
My uncle says...thats going to be one tight...IT DOESNT MATTER WHAT MY UNCLE SAYS!
I would've left the Els door mounts on and cut more of the crv, like you did to clear the fenders. The rear wheel wells look like they may cover the crv's and the floor looks lower than where the Els bed would sit.
do not think too much about the wheel base. is one of a kind and once finished its going to look good
Nice dude
I can't wait for this to be done. It's gonna be so cool I love the idea
Be sure to play with the pupper
Impressive progress. Thanks for the update.
Man I think I'd have just adapted all the Honda dropout to the g body frame.
Your pup wants to play bro
should of just swapped the el camino bro wit a bseries wit custom motor mounts would of made ya life easier and time conserving but to each there own kinda cool to see someone take the impossible route with a build like this deff can’t wait to see the outcome and btw the filler next from the crv bro as long as u have no active gas in it u can move to another location or delete just reccomend doing it outside away from everything best of luck to you bro
This is going to be awsome when done.
starting to wonder if it wouldve been eazier to stretch the crv chassis if front of the dash / firewall and behind the front wheels instead of stretching the floor in the back out , the doorpillar from the crv wouldve been at the right place under the front window the window would land about where the crv one did , and you mightve been able to mount doorhinges over the original crv spots , it looks like the step in the floor of the crv allso wouldve been about where the rearwindow sits so you mightve been able to close the rear bulkhead by butting up the original sheetmetal of both vehicles
the dash wouldve been further inside the cab though (and the window demisting vents would sit in the right spot ) and you might have less room to get in and out of there with the el camino body sitting over the top that and it wouldve opened a can of works on moving the gearshift and the rear transmount and probably a LOT of the engine harness and lights wiring and involve a lot more sheetmetal forming as you cut through the front subframe and mounting for the front suspension
btw having the frontwheel sitting a little forward in the fender might look better then it would when centered , if you have clearance to turn the wheel i would leave it alone
Awesome
i would modify the front fenders like Caseys Customs did with his bmw/mustang swap (cut out the entire elcamino arch and move it forward and weld). looks legit.
You need light colored t shirts when you're working in that heat.😅
The civmino love it 😀
Now i dont feel like a weirdo with too much time for putting a k24 in the trunk of my del sol. Look @ this guy 😂
LS4 Jay Scatpack swapped his. I think I found your performance benchmark!
Loving this
That front wheel well and gaps are gonna need some work. keep it going, i dont care how long it takes your videos are great!
Our uncles could never
Looks like you should have cutout some more the floor to get the body to fit right over the dash with out cutting the dash up?
That's really coming together,Adam! SEMA bound? lol
I’ll have a ek with a dash for parts very soon
My uncle said bring that toothpick on, looking sweet my friend
i love this build!!
I think I would lengthen the back of the fender 3/4 of an inch.
You should see if Kyle needs help on the new tesla he's doing
You Should Have way more Subscribers than 116,000 people
I think you should ditch the Honda dash and retro fit everything into the elco dash and try to keep the interior and exterior as “stock” as possible
Great job !!!!!
You should drop a H22 or a H23 k series or just build the B20 that is in it
El chapo is really coming along it makes no sense to me I think that's why I like it so much😂
Truck is looking good. Check out the wheelbase of the Honda Pilot if you ever do this again.
Just use weld thru primer and the cavity wax
I don't understand why you wouldn't use mfg specs fur wheelbase and stretch accordingly. It may have been more accurate than drywall screws in center caps.
Awsome
hell ya brother love the work
Looks like you didn't get rid of any of that rust. Are you going to cut those tack welds?
I think mullet would beg to differ lol
I haven’t heard you refer to it as a curv amino I like that name for your project
Interesting project. Is it just me or are these body swaps becoming the "thing?" I've seen several swap projects recently.
Like u said u could've done this with a civic... If u wanted AWD u could've just put the crv drive train in... It would've worked others have done it and the outcomes were pretty good
You should call it El onda
Throw the ball man!! 😂😂
Cut the filler neck in half. And make a new one that'll go into the stock el camino spot that'll look super clean and don't seem that terrible to get done
Cut the tacks and move it forward!🤓 cut the bedsides and take the difference out of the sides. The dash would fit better and the front wheels would land better in the wells..🤷♂️
Ok I’m done arrmchairing, good job!👍
I hope my post cards make it b4 the accord giveaway ends
A list will come out either way!
Just entered thx 😊
