Holy Shit! Small World! I was a 92 Yankee, supply clerk (S-4) in the 299th Combat Engineer Battalion, 1st Brigade, 4th ID when the division was still at Ft. Hood, TX. I was in the Bat from August of 1996, through August of 1999. "FIRST ON OMAHA"!!!!!! 🙂
Awesome. Sincgars still in use I see. I was commo in the 90s. I used to jump with the older full size sincgars manpack, extra batteries, and my normal battle rattle. Hooah...
We still had those in this brigade till at least 2010, I remember the first time I saw an ASIP I was toked that it was so light (RTO) but of course that just meant I could carry two....

Chapstick or some type of electric grease. Saliva or water corrodes the contacts, especially on vehicle Jboxes
