The funniest part of Stu near the end was when Syd asked him, the police are on the way, what are you gonna tell them? Stu: Peer pressure, I'm far too sensitive. Lmao
+destined2bebossy Yeah, the whole shoulders thing might work for guys, but some girls have hips that are about as wide as their shoulders. You can hunch your shoulders a bit to squeeze through but you can't do anything like that with hips.

WizardOf It's also a good idea to do this while walking with a coat on that has pockets, so that way if someone comes your way you could possibly scare them off, but for good measure carry around a box cutter (If that's what it's called) or a sharp knife or something along those lines for self-defense in case things go sour.
Kinda reminds me of the livestreams where the guy just sits and smiles for a few hours. In one of his sessions, a man broke into his apartment, saw his creepy ass sitting on the floor smiling, and backed the fuck out.
My favorite line in the entire movie is when Billy says at the fountain, with the eyebrow raise, "Nobody said you did". It was so obvious but so subtle and no-one picked up on it at the time. I think if that was made in today's movies I probably would have figured it out, but at the time = genius.
@@ThePassionT the fountain scene when they were all talking about potential suspects when randy brings up stu dating casey, and he subtly suggests that’s stu was involved and said he didn’t kill her then billy said “nobody said YOU did” and raised his eyebrow because it was actually billy who killed her

Nope. Scary Movie blatantly ripped this movie off, the original parody of horror movies. The Scream franchise had already made a parody of Scream, Stab. The Wayans bros are extremely incapable of being original.
Randy has not had sex, done drugs or any of the other things that get the characters killed... so the Ghostface Killers had to let him live. They killed Drew Barrymore's Casey because... she's the expendable first-character that gets killed for dramatic effect--to set the mood. Besides, she allegedly left Stu for Steve--and Stu wanted revenge.
I've never been one for scary movies, honestly. I'm not ashamed to say I get scared easily. ^^; It scared a lot of people, actually. It was a huge hit and no one could stop talking about it for months after its release. I will admit, though, that the scariest part about this movie is the influence it had on people. There were so many assholes who wore the mask (sometimes the whole outfit) and committed crimes. One guy actually killed a 15 year old girl by stabbing her 30 times while wearing the iconic outfit. I swear, some people take horror films way too seriously.
I think ghostface was double scary, because of how they moved. The way they slam themselves into things and recover very messily, it makes them look desperate to kill.
@gurra88 Are you kidding I fucking loved it, I laughed every episode. Of course it was mostly Joey and Chandler that made it funny though, but the girls were all hot

This leads me to another question. No one since she was killed went to get more beer? How come she wasn’t discovered? Or when they went outside, they didn’t see her?
Sidney did give up far too easily though, considering she knows a murderer is on the loose. Billy shows up and she just forgets about her best friend? It's not like she thinks Tatum is off banging Stu, since Stu is right there. Sidney's a bad friend!
@@LuciaLight100 Stu sends Tatum to get more beer so that Billy can kill her. Stu can then easily go to the garage, bring in all the beer so nobody has to go to the garage to get more, and lock the door so nobody can wander into the garage. It's also shown that the garage door is on the back of the house and mostly blocked by a boat, so nobody is walking by it to leave the house. It IS a stretch that nobody would go outside to smoke or just otherwise walk near the back of the house and see Tatum, but hey... maybe they're all afraid to go outside because of the killer. ;)
For all the inconsistencies about how was he there and who could have done that between the two, there is a theory that there is in fact 3 Ghostface killers; Stu, Billy and Roman, from Scream 3, who reveals he had met both Billy and Stu.
I believe that the Ghost Face in the store and woods was actually her half brother from the third movie. If I'm not mistaken there was a theory that explained it.
Or it could be one of the other people who had ghostface costumes, remember, it was meant to be something anybody and everybody could get their hands on, just like the guys running through the school with a ghostface costume on
@@parakeetgirl9899 That is true- I cant believe i never thought of that! But i really wanna stuck with the half brother theory cuz it just makes it a tad more creepy
@@DrkValCain I'm with you. How about the fact that during the climax Randy and Stu try to convince Sidney that the other person is the killer and she doesn't know who to trust, even though she saw the killer behind Randy on the TV.
Good catch but to be fair she was clearly having a pretty stressful night seeing her best friend and supposedly her boyfriend get murdered and getting chased around by a psychopath in a costume so its understandable that she was freaking out and didn't think of that.
You try thinking straight when you're panicking and if your lover got stabbed by someone in a mask costume and he almost stabbed someone else but let them go, to make you think he's innocent but is actually his partner, that's why he didnt kill him. Who would you trust? Lol in real life it won't be that easy

Guys, most of sins can be forgiven when you realize that SCREAM is just a BIG parody of 80's slasher movies! That's what I love the most about this film. The way they used metalanguage in the screenplay is amazing! They made a parody horror movie and turned it into a horror movie.
no, he's right, Scream is poking hard at 70/80s slasher films. They took a page from Sam Raimi and put out the funny in a big way, but when you get right down to it, it's a horror film. And thank god for it, too. Horror was getting lame. and that was sad.
In all honesty thought this is probably my favorite slasher film. The ending is cool, the deaths are cool, and when the killer was revealed to be Billy and Sue I don’t think anyone saw it coming.
lmao bro dont get me wrong i love the ghostface slasher and the 1st film is honestly the best but the scream saga is a whole mess of plot armor and twists, jealous friend or deranged family member is secretly the killer!!11!! who would've known!!!!11!!!1!
@@hellamurder I only like ghostface as a character, and the whole concept of the film. First one was the best, but I still don't like it compared to other slasher films. To me it's funny and a bit ridiculous at times how much Ghostface fucks up during his kills, how he trips, falls and completely misses attacks on targets that are standing still. Now a lot of fans will say "Oh everything was planned from the beginning, that's how he always gets his kills" but come on
2:25-2:27 that's called the death grab or something it happens when someone is holding something very tight and they die and their grip doesn't open and they continue to hold onto the device.
You'll notice if you kill someone they're blood starts to get coagulated (hard and dry) and if you slit someone's wrists, they start to lose feeling in their hands and fingers. Try putting your wrist underneath your knee, and using both your upper and lower leg to scissor it as hard as you can. You'll notice your hand will become very hard to open after a while. Even minor blood coagulation in the wrong place could make a blood clot in one of the vains that lead to your fingers or hand, creating a simular effect.
This movie never ever gets old or stale. Thanks to some iffy parenting, I saw it when I was like 7 and even then, I knew it was great! The ending! I know it’s supposed to be a parody of other horror movies but it can stand on its own as one of the greats. Billy is just insane. Hot. But insane. And despite him being just as nuts, you feel kinda bad for Stu. His parents are gonna be so mad!
dopey mcdope don't try to use logic on horror movies lol. Michael Myers gets out of an insane asylum killing literally every security guard there. Loomis is somehow the only asshole who seems to care lol. Real life there would be 1000 police and feds scouring haddonfield looking for him. Also his remaining family would have been scooped up and put into custody. Doesn't make the movie any less incredible.
Not really. It looked exactly like blood, and there's no reason that they would have tested it if he and Stu had succeeded. It probably would have been thrown away or washed when they went to the hospital.
You know Billy doing the little "Rawr" at the end is really cute when you think about it. He's bleeding out, clearly lost everything and is at the end, and he still let's Randy have that. He could have easy just passed out and died but he used his remaining strength on a "Boo!" What a bro.
The greatest horror movie of all time! No nudity, realistic high school relationships, realistic emotions, nothing that couldn’t be seen in real life. Quite perfect.
+TheThunderbirdRising I saw the movie for the first time recently and it was way better than I thought it'd be! The first scene with Drew Barymore and the final 40 minutes were pretty damn intense!
+TheThunderbirdRising It's a great movie. I was prepared to have to calm myself down when I saw this was the next sins video, but they're pretty fair. I mean, the movie is a bit too clever for its own good at points, and there are a bunch of cliches for a movie that mocks cliches, and when you think about it a lot of the murders really don't make sense, BUT... it is a legitimately scary, legitimately funny, legitimately original movie that does clever things with a tired genre and still feels fresh 20 years later. That's a great movie in my book.
+TheThunderbirdRising I like this movie too, but it's fun to watch the sins and see where there were errors. It would be hard to not make me like this movie.......
PLOT TWIST: The person dressed as the killer walking around Sidney's house while Billy and Stu were at the movie store was Roman ( Sidney's at that moment unknown sibling ).
8:32 Rose Mcgowan, who played Tatum, could go through the pet door. They had to tie her up so she won't fall through. It's even stated in the Scream wiki.
Cool trivia. On that note I need to point out that back in the day I used to hang onto my parents garage door while it was opening and let it lift me into the air. It was around the time this movie released (high school days) that I was finally too big for it to handle and broke it.
2:40 I would argue that actually, Billy already knows Sidney's dad will be gone, as clothing would dictate that he is being kidnapped while Billy is distracting Sidney in this scene...
I always thought it was implied that Steve was gutted while the pool lights were off so it was very dark, dark enough for Stu or Billy to run away and it was just perfect timing when Casey turned the lights on to see his intestines spill out.
Well these grown men portraying teenagers actually displayed how teenagers would react when the plan is executed all the way until the grand finale. It low key makes sense why this was retconned in Scream 3 making Roman the Mastermind. It was a revenge plan a year in the making. They did almost get away with it but they allowed their head to get in the way of things pun intended (Stu got TV on his head Billy got shot in the head). The plan revolved around Sidney after all every little detail was. So I can see why even though they seemed like they were trying to kill Sidney throughout most of the movie they had no real intention of doing so if anything scaring or injury was the main goal. Not until the final act at least.
I can unvalidate eight or nine sins. - No they didn't want to kill Sidney that night, they did that attack to remove Billy from the suspects list in both the cops and her eyes. - That's also why Stu had to give her time to muster up that kick. - Billy said "two main doors". It doesn't matter how many doors there were in total. - Tatum may have known the time of death but naturally she wouldn't straight away believe her boyfriend could be the killer and therefor would simply regard that he was with her that night, which is why Randy immediately brings up the question if it was before or after the murders. - The Ghostface in the bathroom could have been a prankster waiting for anyone. - The movie does not say how much time passes between the yard and store and so on. They could easily be there. - They didn't kill Randy because he was a virgin and they were killing according to horror movie rules. They'd been established as part of the same group of friends which is why they could have known or suspected that. - They went after Drew's character because Stu was mad at her. It was mentioned she had dumped him for Steve. And because Casey and Steve made a great scene f their horror movie's plot.
That last point is fine for Stu and Billy, but I think the video was asking why would Sidney's dad kill Casey and Steve? That seems extremely random. You can see that they live in the middle of nowhere. It also shows that the police are kind of stupid. However, all in all, that is the point of the movie. The movie isn't supposed to a plot holeless story. It's very meta about how horror tropes including stupid decisions like "Some stupid killer stalking some big-breasted girl who can't act who is always running up the stairs when she should be running out the front door. It's insulting" , then she runs up the stairs to get away. Man I love this movie.
Little Dark One - Dude, this isn't a serious movie analysis. Its done for comedic purposes. He literally gives multiple movies sins for certain actresses not being his girlfriend. That says it all.
I like to think Roman was the third Ghostface, already active along with Billy and Stu. Roman could have helped Billy to kill Casey and Steve, and he was definitely the one who was following Sidney in Ghostface costume while at the same time Billy and Stu were at the videostore. Obviosly in 1996 Wes didn't made up Sidney's brother yet, but this theory fit extremely well in the first movie
That's the joke. She's a final girl. The entire movie is making fun of slashers. that happens in EVERY slasher. boy, you missed tthe point of the movie lole
They aren't easily able to kill the others. They take more abuse from their victims than any other killers in slasher films, by far. In other franchises, the main killer only gets their ass kicked by the Final Girl. But in Scream, almost EVERY victim beats the shit out of Ghostface for awhile before dying.
6:52 Lmao! It's Wes Craven doing a Freddy Krueger cameo and he's a janitor named Fred, lmao, priceless. Funny enough Wes Craven is the one who wrote and directed Scream. Lol small world. The opening for scream is, at least for me, ten times better than the opening for Halloween
@@georgek2222 Yes, halloween feels a bit dated, the opening of Scream never ages. It is still fresh.
I think it's genius how much they make everything even remotely related to Billy practically scream "He's the killer!" and yet, SOMEHOW, they still manage to make it an actual, genuine surprise.

The first time I had seen Scream 1 I was maybe 8 or 9 at a friends house. The credits start to roll, it's about 10 at night, and the phone rings. We both jumped. Turns out it was just the older brother calling to be picked up. Lol Always think of that memory when I see that ghostface.
Lol that's funny coincidence

The best part of "Scream" is the amounts of beating the killers took, it gets so cartoony at points.

Random thing, whenever I see an open window that can see a good distance away, or close an outdoors-leading-door, I look directly out of it with a blank face, that slowly turns into a smile, just in case anyone IS watching.

“No one seems to be concerned where Tatum is…” while literally showing a clip in the background of Sidney looking and shouting for Tatum
It IS a stretch that nobody would go outside to smoke or just otherwise walk near the back of the house and see Tatum, but hey... maybe they're all afraid to go outside because of the killer. ;)
For Tatum

For all the inconsistencies about how was he there and who could have done that between the two, there is a theory that there is in fact 3 Ghostface killers; Stu, Billy and Roman, from Scream 3, who reveals he had met both Billy and Stu.
Does that theory explain why he didn't show up during the big finale?
+Dennis Williams Yes it does. He wasn't Ex Machina'd yet. :P
+Tommy Carr Yes, and that theory is completely absurd. There's nothing that happens throughout the film that couldn't have been done by two killers.
+Josiah Plummer Damn, there's always one line of dialogue that messes up fan theories!
+Tommy Carr I think I read somewhere that Dewey was intended to be the killer in one of the movies but they didn't involve this idea in the movie.
I believe that the Ghost Face in the store and woods was actually her half brother from the third movie. If I'm not mistaken there was a theory that explained it.
Yes you’re right
Lol that’s some serious retconning.
Whether it was meant or not, I like the idea of Roman hanging out to make sure things go according to plan or to witness the killing, etc. I also like the idea that Roman helped out Mrs. Loomis in the 2nd one-he helped her find Mickey, he helped with details, etc. And then in the 3rd one he said, "okay, no one else has managed to kill her, let me have a shot."
How about the fact that during the climax Randy and Stu try to convince Sidney that the other person is the killer and she doesn't know who to trust, even though she saw the killer behind Randy on the TV.
Good point, also thought about that!!! And that the killer didn't take the gun from Dewey, until Sydney did it before she came back into the house.
I KNOW RIGHT
Good catch but to be fair she was clearly having a pretty stressful night seeing her best friend and supposedly her boyfriend get murdered and getting chased around by a psychopath in a costume so its understandable that she was freaking out and didn't think of that.
You try thinking straight when you're panicking and if your lover got stabbed by someone in a mask costume and he almost stabbed someone else but let them go, to make you think he's innocent but is actually his partner, that's why he didnt kill him.
Who would you trust? Lol in real life it won't be that easy
Japeth321 good point, but I mean I never noticed that until you pointed it out, so it’s very possible that she would not think of it in this situation. Going off logic though you’re right, and it is a sin.
I don’t think cinema sins realizes that when ghostface was in the bathroom it wasn’t actually him. It was just a prank some kid was pulling.
Sidney says she can tell it was the real killer... but it's ambiguous whether she's correct or not.

Guys, most of sins can be forgiven when you realize that SCREAM is just a BIG parody of 80's slasher movies! That's what I love the most about this film. The way they used metalanguage in the screenplay is amazing! They made a parody horror movie and turned it into a horror movie.
Don't switch Scream and Scary Movie.
no, he's right, Scream is poking hard at 70/80s slasher films. They took a page from Sam Raimi and put out the funny in a big way, but when you get right down to it, it's a horror film. And thank god for it, too. Horror was getting lame. and that was sad.

Can't get over how the killers planned everything so perfectly just to act like a couple of idiots in the last few minutes
Probably realistic though.
"everything wrong with Scream"
Me: NOT SKEET ULRICH THATS FOR SURE
I heard the main door but i still find it stupid any door leading outside should be a main door
This channel is a joke, the sins are jokers so the can’t be debunked.
Play along, didnt you watch the CinemaSins intro video where they Sinned themselves?
This is how I watch scary movies cuz I’m a wimp
Lol same
saaaame
I feel ya, bro.
Same
Vanilla Pop Because this is a "scary" movie
I like to think Roman was the third Ghostface, already active along with Billy and Stu. Roman could have helped Billy to kill Casey and Steve, and he was definitely the one who was following Sidney in Ghostface costume while at the same time Billy and Stu were at the videostore. Obviosly in 1996 Wes didn't made up Sidney's brother yet, but this theory fit extremely well in the first movie
Correct!!! 💯💯💯
There should be another sin which is “the killer(s) are easily able to kill the others but it’s impossible to kill Sydney”
That was added xD
But Sydney has skills.
That's the joke. She's a final girl. The entire movie is making fun of slashers. that happens in EVERY slasher. boy, you missed tthe point of the movie lole
Sydney's the main character so she has plot-armor like most main characters in franchise movies like this do.
God rest his soul to Wes Craven, passed away in 2015 from brain cancer. My man Wes Craven will be forever missed and honored for ages to come ✌🤘
Kevin Williamson wrote Scream.

I think the "watch oh, jamie" part was deserving of more than one sin removal. That was brillant.
Wes was such a brilliant film maker. When someone asks who was the best horror director for me its impossible to pick between Romero, Carpenter, and Craven. All three had their special style and left the genre better than when they found it.
