- "Don't Take Your Love from Me" written by Henry Nemo in 1941 was recorded by Frank Sinatra on March 20, 1961 as part of his Capitol album, Come Swing with Me! The track was arranged by Heinie Beau & conducted by Billy May. Come Swing with Me! which was released in May 1961, was Sinatra's final swing album with Capitol Records. He was to record the song again later that year during the sessions for the Sinatra & Strings LP on his Reprise label, though the song did not appear on the album.
I love Frank and his voice and songs !
Am always so full of joie de vivre when frank plays
Capital Sinatra all day every day....❤️
My daughter says it’s…jazzz-zay! Frank never gets old.
Thanks, catman, for posting this interesting swinging version of the classic Henry Nemo composition by the great Frank Sinatra! Of the 150+ versions that have been recorded, I daresay most of them are ballad treatments. Mildred Bailey's was the first in 1940, and in a 1950 Downbeat interview, she cited as her favorite among her own recordings.
fantastique merci
