“he has prepared every spell he knows, he can cast any spell that exists at will whenever he wants” pff, big deal, so can everyone who plays a spellcaster for the first time and didn’t read the rules
hehehe, um you mean any wizard, warlock, cleric, druid, (and maybe bards idk) and most of the half casters (ranger, pally and whatever else is a half caster.) However sorcerers are and have always been a spontaneous caster they don't prepare spells at all. The pull from their pool of spells know whatever spell is needed at the time. 5E makes this even better cause they can take a level 1 spell and cast it at level 4 and enhance it with meta-magic. If you read through their spell casting rules you will not find a rule on their preparation of spells for this reason.
@Viktor Magnusson Yeah most of what made sorcerers special in past editions has been given to pretty much every caster class now. Before the Wizard needed to prepare his amount of fireballs or whatever for the day and when he was out of them he was out of them regardless of if he still had slots available. This was wonky so I'm not opposed to it being changed however a wizard can now prepare from his known spells and as long as it's prepared for the day he can cast it as many times as he wants as long as he has slots available that can be used for that spell. Metamagics were supposedly given only to Sorcs now but even that's not true as a lot of caster subclasses give metamagic or even stronger equivalents to their chosen genre of spell. Especially wizards getting very strong and most are always active metamagic like abilities, while also having their near infinite spell options, as well as more casts per day, and getting spells for free, and having the best options in magic items solely for their class. In all honesty Sorcs drew the short straw this edition as they have very little that makes them unique and aside from subclass flare they don't get all that much in the base class.

"inferno uses his action to hit you with his claw (rolls dice) he misses" "hell yeah! we can beat him" "he uses his bonus action now" "to run away I bet" "he kills the sun"
I'm surprised that all of the CR40s are Red Dragons. I thought that there would be at least one of the metallic dragons in the running. Looks like it is canon that the chromatic dragons are winning.
Well not so much, it is more that Red Dragons are more iconic. Though in my head canon the Red Half Dragons are simply more aggressive as as people and expand faster: www.reddit.com/r/DnD/comments/fbwoxt/art_half_dragon_player_race_finalized_after/
Well I guess the reason is because red dragons and chromatic dragons in general go out of their way to display their power trying to gain worshippers to become gods there are likely a lot of very powerful metallic dragons who are either unknown or have not been named
In old school D&D, good creatures were universally more powerful and more rare than their evil counterparts. It only makes sense to leave a gap for the 'good' players to make a difference. For some reason that has changed in modern D&D. It probably has something to do with it becoming more popular for the player's to be villains--not sure, though.
Dragonborn could defeat him. Dragonborn can defeat any dragon, that's his purpose for existing. essentially the hand of the dragon god, made to keep dragons from crushing other races entirely. If it's a dragon, Dragonborn can defeat it.

how hard is it to just translate the stats from ADnD and 3/3.5 into 5e terms? Behaviorally and in concept dragons will still be the same regardless of edition. I never played 4th or 5th so I'm talking out of my ass, here, of course.
@@tree_alone it looks very difficult as the way they read are vastly different to me in stats. having never played 3/3.5 or 4 i couldn't say. it might be easier than it seems to me but i honestly have no idea.
In my world (Created as a hobby, still ongoing) the two thirteenth level spells are "Control" and "Obliterate". Control makes you the DM, Obliterate destroys the multiverse. Literally, if you cast Control, you get all of the files for the world, and if you cast Obliterate, I delete them. The material components for either is a little ball made of the essence of thousands of my equivalent of Greater Deities. The only time either was ever cast was when Perampas Tidak Bijaksana, the first mortal, tore off the hand of Pencipta Yang Bijaksana, the Creator, and used it as the material components for both Obliterate, on Pencipta, and control, on nothingness. That was how magic was created - from the essence of their corpses. Greater Deities in my world are people who embody a single concept entirely. For example, Vallin, the god of death, who can kill anyone instantly with no option for coming back ever. They are granted additional power by the essence of Pencipta and Perampas. You also must be one of these Deities to cast the spells. Not to mention, the orb is contained within a nation that is protected by dozens of these Deities, none of whom would ever cast the spells, nor can they. Because the final qualification to cast them? Every other being in all of existence must agree, as well as all other beings who have ever existed. Perampas and Pencipta were the only two beings when the spells were cast. Pencipta was brainwashed into accepting it. (Yes, the omnipotent Creator of everything was beaten down by Perampas.)
To put into perspective a neutorium golem is both a CR 9721, and is a universal level threat, yet Kirby has taken down his fair share of universal threats. So you do the math.
A few minor corrections/extra info on Inferno... Inferno is not actually a red dragon, he is a crossbreed between gold and red, which was never meant to happen. There two dragons are the most powerful of the chromatic and metallic dragons and he gained the power of both, although Tiamat personally made sure to have his parents murdered and the rest of the eggs destroyed. Bahamut then later personally came to teach him magic and he has devine based powers. Half his breath weapon deals quasi damage, meaning it's godly and cannot be resisted. He is also known to be one of the best magic users of teleportation and dimension based magic of his time, even impressing elminster when he hear of it. His main lair has over a dozen teleportation based traps that will just remove you from the lair if you don't know how to get through them. Also in his main lair has a lake of melted gold, that he uses illusions to make it look like it is so deep that he can swim in it, but it is actually only a few feet deep and actually teleports the rest of his body to his secret lair in another land... he just uses this to show off to anyone that enters his lair. He also is the first dragon to take adventurers to court for breaking and entering in his lair and wanted them sent to prison for attempted theft... yep... he is also a lawyer dragon...

I'm not that familiar with tabletop rpgs or forgotten realms (beyond having played a 1000 hours of baldurs gate, including all the mods). How the hell do mundane medieval cities like Baldurs gate or waterdeep coexist with nuke level creatures, Archmages, Avatars and evil gods? The world map and various cultures looks too.... normal for how powerful everything is. You would expect there to either be extremely advanced magical empires or a chaotic world.

a few thousand years before the present day, there used to be floating magical cities and magical items galore. But then they tried, with their unlimited magic, to become godlike and then the goddess of magic fucked them up pretty bad. Now you can't quite get there anymore.
@@MrRhexx Yeah I heard about that. Karsus Avatar right? Funny how most mainstream fantasy settings are essentially post-post-apocalypses (there was once a great world spanning civilization and now it is in ruins). I think the only thing that can really explain the current status quo is a massive ancient secret society which somehow preserves the status quo for some reason. Maybe they discovered something analogous to the reapers and want to keep technology and magic relatively low lest they attract the attention of some kind of cosmic horror. Maybe they gave Karsus the inspiration for his epic-spell, knowing what would happen. Perhaps they social engineered the spellplague. Is it possible to have such far reaching changes to the vanilla setting for tabletop rpgs? I only know cRPGs. Not familiar with how this sort of game works.
Most of the really really strong monsters just want to be left alone and probably wouldn't seek out and attack a major city like Neverwinter or Waterdeep and even if they did they'd be met with great resistance since like 5 CR30+ characters live in Waterdeep, it's probably not worth the effort, even if you are the chosen Tyrant of a dragon god.
I thought inferno was a hybrid child of a red dragon and gold dragon who were killed right after he hatched. And the only ones who know of him are other dragons that help him boost his power so he never has to suffer the loss he did as a hatchling.
Tchazzar is the coolest! "Start a rebellion, lead the new kingdom to awesomeness. then leave them mysteriously and have the be like 'woo, hero-god'" I was sad with the whole tiamat attachment though.

Homebrew the monsters using Fizbans: (bloat stats and damage as high as you feel like for your campaign's purposes). Raulothim: suggest he is an ancient emerald dragon, but his true power comes from his animated staffs. Take the animated staff from rim of the frost maiden and have his fight be a dragon plus 5+ staffs casting fireballs. Will already be a tough fight with all that spellcasting per round so increasing CR is not necessary. Palerandusk: ancient Gold dragon, add high-level wizard spell, has Blurred Form and Incorporeal Movement from Theros Eidolons. may swap Blurred Form for an upgraded Legendary residence to negate all damage? Needs to work out how to balance the number of times this can be used. Larendrammagar: Ancient Gold dragon, could be a greatwrym? Knows all the Wizard and Cleric spells. Could cast them as legendary actions? Tchazzar: Red Greatwrym with immunity to poison, and non-magical weapons. has Divine Being, Magic Resistance. Summons 1d4+1 Red Abishai. Has aura that gives allies advantage on saving throws (Wisdom only if too strong). has an Orb of Dragonkind, an Amulet of supremacy to boost damage. Is a high-level Sorrserer that can cast 5 9th level spells. Imvaernarhro (Inferno): Red is probably a Greatwrym. the strongest sorcerer with 7 9th, 2 10th, 2 11th, 1 12th, and 13th level spell slots. Use spellcasting as a bonus action or legendary action. has a Rod of Absorption, Brooch of shielding, Ring of spell turning, Forbiddance (close enough spell), Teleport, and maybe just also throw in a wish he can spend 13 spell slots a day on just to sell his ridicules power.
Hope you mention a great wyrm force dragon with a cr of 59. Yup... 59 cr. It has +99 to attack, ac of 102, caster level of 36 with a spell resistance score of 57. Force dragons have 75 str 10 dex 61 con 62 int 63 wis 62 cha as stats. They are invisible all the time like greater invisibility and they blink all the time which makes it really hard to hit them. Even if you can see through greater incisibility and pass through 102 ac you still miss %50 of you attacks against a force dragon. They also immune any damage lesser than epic damage and even epic damage will deal 25 less with every hit. Also they have a 60d12 breath weapon that deal force damage which can’t be affected from any damage reduction effect. And that’s the best part THEY ARE IMMUNE TO FORCE DAMAGE!!!! Crazy fucking monster...
Time Dragons are beyond even that(although in different ways) they reach CR 90 as a Great Wyrm. They have at will time stop with 1 round pauses between cast, permanent haste, immunity to slow, Immunity go any spell that last longer than instantaneous unless it’s cast on it by itself, an Aura that imposed slow on everything within 40ft of it without a saving throw, the ability to have more actions in one turn twice a day, Two Breath Weapons: one a cone that ages everything within it and deals con damage; the other a line that sends people forward in time(effectively removing them from combat for the time between, Advantage on rolls(which wasn’t really a thing in 3.x, but yet they had it) and to kick it all off, they can actively Time travel! With the right preparation they can defeat anything by just escaping and then going back and doubling up on the enemy with themself.
Nick Schoffen do you have a link to that beast’s page. I would like to take a deeper look to it and maybe use it in a one shot or a power show off against one of my parties.

They are Psionic masters. When there is Magic Nullifiers all over the place, just bring a Gem Dragon for wild Shenanigans. But if you want to go full Psionic, I choose Palladium System.
@@kevynhansyn2902 for me, psionics could easily be what monks draw on, if you really think about it. It could be a more spiritual mind form of chi. And considering stuff like meditation, levitation by windpower, and mind reading powers primarily come from east and has been a eastern practice, makes you wonder why not call psionics a branch of chi? 🤷♂️🤔🤨 But that's the thing. Divine dragons (which WAS what the gold was called at ons point), which is another word back in the day for metallics, drew on the more celestial/angelic/godly type of magic source, and arcane dragons (aka chromatics) drew on the more primordial/demonic/devilish/(evil)godly type of magic. The gems were just in between and not really one or the other. A true balance between law/order and chaos/mayhem. But the psionics part has been harmed too hard, as well as a bit on the neutral abuse. People thinking they are ALL types of neutral, when really, the are neutral in morals, like metallics are GOOD in morals, and chromatics are BAD in morals, so they aren't neutral like neutral evil or neutral good, but neutral in lawful neutral, and chaotic neutral. But mainly neutral neutral, if you catch my drift.

ALL those gods are either unnecessary, not needed, poorly executed, fight with certain worlds lore, or just don't make sense and take away from the mystery. Like we don't need task to explain why dragons hoard. The hoarding thing should be a mystery, it adds to the whole idea that dragons may or may NOT have a reason to have the stuff they do. Hlal is your radical extremist sjw who thinks they know what they are talking about but actually have no clue, Tamara and Lendys are just bland original pieces of bahamut's idea of justice. Garyx could easily be absorbed into sardior, for the fire and renewal part (minus the destruction), so no need for garyx anyhow. And finally, Azharul, Kalzareinad, and Kereska are apparently gods of magic, the arcane kind, you know, THE THING MYSTRA CONTROLS?!?! Why would there be a god of magic, when all arcane magic (not counting sorcerers) comes from her? These magic dragons would bring chaos to it, and plus mystra would cuck them, so these magic dragons shouldn't exist. The 2e dragon gods I am so far ok with are Asgorath and Zotha. Isn't there stronger dragons now? Like force and prismatics? I thought they had CR arond the upper 50s to mid 60s and time dragons I believe are higher in CR than that.
The terrifying thing about the book with force and prismatic dragons also showed how to stat up the other dragons into the magnitudes that those two reach. Using that system an old enough dragon of any type could feasibly reach CR 100 or higher
Force and prismatics are from a generic D&D sourcebook, there aren't actually any NPCs like that in the Forgotten Realms only monsters from Epic Level Handbook that exist there are the le shay (in the Moonshaes), an atropal (there was one in Thay), a few demiliches, an umbral blot (house Karanok in Chessenta) probably the strongest monster is from the novels and has no stats, the Eldest aboleth, it ruled the city of Xxiphu and the Abolethic Sovereignty
Only one prismatic dragon ever existed canonically. Io/Asgorath. Force Dragons havent been seen in forgotten realms either, and the "prismatic-force dragon" doesnt exist.
One turn as Inferno, if he gets max duration quickened Time Stop, can be Breath weapon, quickened Time Stop, and 9 Delayed-Blast Fireballs all of which can hit the whole party if they're clumped. For 180d6 Fire (DC28 Reflex Half) + 38d10 (DC57 Reflex Half.) For an average 839 damage on two failed saves.
If I remember correctly, back in 3rd edition the Epic dragons (prismatic and force dragons) had Cr's that could reach into the 60's at ancient or above... to put into perspective, a standard adult prismatic is larger than an ancient Red and has a Cr of 39 These were dragons who could fight lesser gods But I guess they don't matter anymore...
I know its wild that no one mentions them. Force top out at 59 but Prismatics reach CR 66, the single highest CR in the history of d&d. they are an absolute menace with insanely high save DC's, one of the strongest spells as a breath weapon, and wish. as a dragon they can 100% afford to cast wish.
Great content as always! I do have to say I am not one to mind longer videos. I like to listen to hour long lore videos on such subjects as Warhammer 40k. I know some things just take much longer to explain and can not be so simply put into a 10 to 15 min video.
More of MrRhexx is always a good thing. :-) Looking forward to the next video as always. One of the best D&D content producers on YT and one that I don't think gets enough notice - and I'm not saying that to be flattering or anything. I think there are a lot more people out there that haven't seen your stuff that would like it. I tell other people about your channel all the time and so hopefully some of those people make it your way. Keep up the great work.
If I remember correctly, you can can cast two leveled spells in 5th edition so long as one of the spells you are casting is not a bonus action. Say you had fighter action surge and two level 1 spells. You can cast both level 1 spells by using action surge so long as neither apell is a bonus action spell. Its how you are able to cast counterspell (or other reaction spells) in the same turn of you casting a leveled spell. Though no reaction spells if you cast a bonus action spell on that turn :p
I imagine like 8 fully equipped and maxed out lvl 20 heroes just for the fight. But i imagine that in an adventure against any one of those dragons the party would be consisted of about 20 maxed out and then maybe 8 would survive to fight and try to defeat them after he killed the other 12 in the way or with his wishes scrolls and traps and lair actions and legendary actions, resistances and what not
No. They’d have to step even beyond the level 20 level cap. Maybe to 30 or 40. And I’d guess high 30s alongside ludicrous racial abilities. You are not just fighting the CR 40 dragon, but also his CR 19 minions, and his/her’s numerous artifact level items. You’d need extra help on top of that probably. Such as a host of angels.
@@viniciusklaussnerfonsecaco1952 You would need to have multiple boons and artifacts to even attempt this. Like a Lich PC, A few maxed palis, and monks might come in handy
I love black dragons. I always think maybe 3 or 4 black dragons would absolutely murder a tarasque. All that acid breath... but you'd never find that many of them working together for any reason and that's what I love about them
Bah! 5th edition lightweights! In 3rd edition was a type of dragon known as a Prismatic Dragon: challenge rating 66 for a great wyrm. Add the Dragon Ascendant prestige class and you have a challenge rating 78 dragon; for when you want a monster your players will never be high enough level to face! (A monster this powerful is pointless but I love that it exists).
This is why 3rd ed sucked. D&D is a game system. Not a fucking Game of Thrones novel with Mary Sues running around. You are suppose to be able to fight and kill anything
I can't find the Time Dragon except as homebrew. What is the source? Static Charm; you're clearly not very familiar with the earlier editions. A tarrasque, zaratan or any of the older dragons are unthinkable for any but the most dedicated group and that's just the basic monsterous manual. 1st had less power creep but there is still plenty that are unassailable for normal players (Cthulhu on page 43 of Deities and Demigods says hi). D&D is a game system but it is also a tool box designed to provide any adventures a group considers appropriate and is not limited by what one person thinks it should be.
If he's not including the great wyrm prismatic dragon (CR 66) as the toughest mob, he's probably going to say it's Daurgothoth, especially considering the book he's using as his main source.
To actually sware to describe the strength of a dragon, its rare to hear him do that. And it lets me know any time I hear my dm say "you must fight a dragon named inferno" im just gonna say nope and ignore that fight like its death itself.
The Draconomicon (3rd Ed) has a prestige class for high level dragons that turns them into full quasi-gods in the last level while getting many of the quasi-gods powers during the levels of that class, like full hp.
Don't forget about Time Dragons. Introduced in Dragon magazine at the end of 3.5, these things are Huge from when they first leave the egg, and by the time they're Old, they are considered Colossal+. Their Breath Weapon can either age their opponents, dealing damage to their constitution *score,* or expell them from time itself, casting them forward into the future. They're constantly under the effects of Haste, can cast Time stop for free, and eventually get a Slow Aura that makes their enemies suffer from the spell Slow.
I think it depends whether the challenge is issued in-character or OOC. After all, the DM may be a metaphorical (and sometimes) literal deity of the campaign, but they're also just another person at the table.
Raulothim is what happens when a NPC is genre savvy and knows both that the Players and Game Masters are constantly plotting to kill him... and that the best way to survive in a world like this is to be Funny and Useful. Also, damnit, I needed to know about Klauth for next week.
Hey ! Love your content ! Would love to see a series about specific regions which are not really being covered in 5e ??? . (Ex : Cormyr, Moonsea, Dragon Coast, Calimshan, Thay)
When he said the three most powerful dragons for some reason I thought he actually meant the three most powerful dragons you know Prismatic force and time Prismatic dragons first dragons and time dragons are the most powerful they're wyrmlings just hatched are a f****** challenge rating 46
I just checked the old magazine for the stats for Time Dragons and it’s CR 26 as a Wyrmling, but that doesn’t detract from the fact that it reaches CR 90 at Great Wyrm. Also, the Epic Level Handbook has rules for raising dragons beyond Great Wyrm. (and thus pushing CR to ever greater heights...) Dragons are the most powerful species in D&D, it’s part of why they’re in the name of the game.
DCs would also need to change to convert from 3e to 5e, because it's expected that you can have quit a few more ranks put into any given skill and there are more ways to boost everything. I'd put a DC40 from 3e as 30ish to keep the difficulty around the same.
Does this series of videos exclude the epic level handbook from 3.5? I wasn't sure if that book was just too out there to be considered part of the list as it includes 4 creatures of CR50 or more, the Devastation Beetle found on page 178 at CR 50, the Hecatoncheires on page 162 at CR 57, the Elder Wyrm Force Dragon on page 182 at CR 59, and the Elder Wyrm Prismatic Dragon on page 184 at CR 66
Hah man and here I am having completed my first campaign worrying about goblins and weird tree things and there are these crazy world ending dragons. Hope ya do some videos on Baldur's Gate as the new game gets closer.
Mr. Rhexx can you please do a series on the Primal Dragons? They aren't the Chromatic or Metallic ones. They consist of Magma, Brine, Cloud, Crystal and Umbral Dragons! ^^
Raulothim's fear isn't unfounded. There are plenty of extremely powerful spellcasters that could defeat him, if they chose, even if their CR is less than his. For example, Szass Tzam (exuse the spelling mistake if it's there) has dozens, if not hundreds of liches at his disposal. I remember him being around CR 30 from the last video, and if he's got even 2 or 3 CR 20+ liches helping him, they could take Raulothim with ease.
“he has prepared every spell he knows, he can cast any spell that exists at will whenever he wants” pff, big deal, so can everyone who plays a spellcaster for the first time and didn’t read the rules
I feel targeted
hehehe, um you mean any wizard, warlock, cleric, druid, (and maybe bards idk) and most of the half casters (ranger, pally and whatever else is a half caster.) However sorcerers are and have always been a spontaneous caster they don't prepare spells at all. The pull from their pool of spells know whatever spell is needed at the time. 5E makes this even better cause they can take a level 1 spell and cast it at level 4 and enhance it with meta-magic. If you read through their spell casting rules you will not find a rule on their preparation of spells for this reason.

I'm surprised that all of the CR40s are Red Dragons. I thought that there would be at least one of the metallic dragons in the running. Looks like it is canon that the chromatic dragons are winning.
Well not so much, it is more that Red Dragons are more iconic. Though in my head canon the Red Half Dragons are simply more aggressive as as people and expand faster: www.reddit.com/r/DnD/comments/fbwoxt/art_half_dragon_player_race_finalized_after/
Daniel Lamb They are more ambitious after all.
Well, they would be winning in Faerûn if Inferno could be bothered, he can't. Some say he is part Honey Badger.

Is there somewhere to read all of that?

How the hell do mundane medieval cities like Baldurs gate or waterdeep coexist with nuke level creatures, Archmages, Avatars and evil gods?

But that's the thing.

Isn't there stronger dragons now? Like force and prismatics? I thought they had CR arond the upper 50s to mid 60s and time dragons I believe are higher in CR than that.
In 3rd Edition a standard adult prismatic had a CR of 39... a great wyrm had one around 70... so yeah, far stronger than anything on these lists.
And then there's the infamous Prismatic-force dragon. The offspring of a prismatic and force dragon
The terrifying thing about the book with force and prismatic dragons also showed how to stat up the other dragons into the magnitudes that those two reach. Using that system an old enough dragon of any type could feasibly reach CR 100 or higher
Force and prismatics are from a generic D&D sourcebook, there aren't actually any NPCs like that in the Forgotten Realms
only monsters from Epic Level Handbook that exist there are the le shay (in the Moonshaes), an atropal (there was one in Thay), a few demiliches, an umbral blot (house Karanok in Chessenta)
probably the strongest monster is from the novels and has no stats, the Eldest aboleth, it ruled the city of Xxiphu and the Abolethic Sovereignty
For 180d6 Fire (DC28 Reflex Half) + 38d10 (DC57 Reflex Half.)
For an average 839 damage on two failed saves.
If I remember correctly, back in 3rd edition the Epic dragons (prismatic and force dragons) had Cr's that could reach into the 60's at ancient or above... to put into perspective, a standard adult prismatic is larger than an ancient Red and has a Cr of 39
These were dragons who could fight lesser gods
But I guess they don't matter anymore...

Its mr. Rhexx's time ! Chill , and enjoy the amazing flow of content.
this is exactly what i needed in my life rn! thanks bro!
I'd also love to see a video on Pit Fiends and Balors if you can! ^^
I hope that there'll be a "Strongest Dungeons in Dungeons and Dragons" video in the future as well.
I've always loved the good alignment dragons in DnD!!
nielsdejong question, why do you keep linking that under almost every comment?
nielsdejong question, why do you keep linking that under almost every comment?
Great video. In my campaign the Terrasque is the most powerful. Placed on Toril to prevent anyone from being to powerful and upset the balance.
*when the nerd starts swearing*
most of us swear a lot :P and this guy does it pretty often. its one of the reasons i like him :)
@@omega311888 oh don’t you worry, sweetums, I swear too 😉
I love black dragons.
There’s also the Time Dragon, CR 90 at Great Wyrm, a beast beyond all others.
15:31 all he needs is a partner and he has the stats to cast over 9 levels spells according to the 13 level spell video
I'm curiouse to find out about this CR 50! Is it the Devastation Beetle from 3.5? Or maybe the Force Dragon? ( >_>)
If he's not including the great wyrm prismatic dragon (CR 66) as the toughest mob, he's probably going to say it's Daurgothoth, especially considering the book he's using as his main source.
Ben Walker Theres also the 3.5 Great Wyrm Time Dragon with a whopping CR 90.
@@lawfulwood hey! Well done! :D you were correct!
To actually sware to describe the strength of a dragon, its rare to hear him do that.
And it lets me know any time I hear my dm say "you must fight a dragon named inferno" im just gonna say nope and ignore that fight like its death itself.
I would love a video on the seven sisters from the last episode. They seem awesome
The Draconomicon (3rd Ed) has a prestige class for high level dragons that turns them into full quasi-gods in the last level while getting many of the quasi-gods powers during the levels of that class, like full hp.
What about Prismatic & Force dragons from 3.5ed Epic Level handbook? Those have CR's up to 68.
And Time Dragons, they hit CR 90 at Great Wyrm. Aren’t Epic Dragons crazy!?
Little does he know that I have a custom spell called wish and will wish that I could tame anything easily
Meatyogreatbest, I miss your name at the end. /Cry
same :(
loving this series i was always curious about the top dogs of dnd
Don't forget about Time Dragons. Introduced in Dragon magazine at the end of 3.5, these things are Huge from when they first leave the egg, and by the time they're Old, they are considered Colossal+. Their Breath Weapon can either age their opponents, dealing damage to their constitution *score,* or expell them from time itself, casting them forward into the future. They're constantly under the effects of Haste, can cast Time stop for free, and eventually get a Slow Aura that makes their enemies suffer from the spell Slow.
There's so much interesting hidden lore about Shar, maybe a video about her in the future, @MrRhexx ?
What would my cr be if I challenged the dm to single combat?
I give you a CR of 25!!
1/4th, same as the average commoner.
@@Krishnath.Dragon Way Harsh, Tai.
Where can i find these stat blocks? seems like everywhere i look has Zero information about any of these guys..
14:24 "pure, unadulterated, raw fucking power" never heard Rhexx curse before my goodness
I have never clicked on a video so fast in. My life
Mr Rhexx always coming through with amazing content
I miss hearing Major fail gaming on the patron list.
The phrase "Pure, unadulterated, raw fucking power" invokes a lot more fear in a fictional character than it probably should
God I want to see they're stats so bad
just take a dragon and give them 20 levels in an appropriate class,
a level 20 acient red dragon with 20 levels in bear barb would be terrifing
or a 20 level draconic sorcerer and 20 level wizard multiclass spellcasting god
(this would be for larendragammar)
In what edition?
Their*
Stats for 5th I hope
Glad to see you refer to specific sources!
The DM doesn't have stats and could stomp all of them.
Can you make a video only about Elminster? I think that a lot of people would enjoy it too.
Wish you the best from Brazil!
Everyone hates Elminster. He is Ed Greenwood's poorly written avatar. Gandalf without any of the wit, charm, and likability
First. Never had that before.
While I'm here, MrRhexx, you are a legend.
@Douglas Bonbeck No what?
@Douglas Bonbeck Weird, there were no comments or views when I posted.
@Douglas Bonbeck It's all good, man. No offence taken. Happy to cede the crown.
DCs would also need to change to convert from 3e to 5e, because it's expected that you can have quit a few more ranks put into any given skill and there are more ways to boost everything. I'd put a DC40 from 3e as 30ish to keep the difficulty around the same.
yeet
20 Minutes?! You're really making this Dragon :P
Does this series of videos exclude the epic level handbook from 3.5? I wasn't sure if that book was just too out there to be considered part of the list as it includes 4 creatures of CR50 or more, the Devastation Beetle found on page 178 at CR 50, the Hecatoncheires on page 162 at CR 57, the Elder Wyrm Force Dragon on page 182 at CR 59, and the Elder Wyrm Prismatic Dragon on page 184 at CR 66
he can cast simulacrum 6 times per day? fun
Hah man and here I am having completed my first campaign worrying about goblins and weird tree things and there are these crazy world ending dragons. Hope ya do some videos on Baldur's Gate as the new game gets closer.
I have an idea next time we encounter a upper CR30 enemy! Open Portal to Star Mountain, push enemy through it, close portal.
Mr. Rhexx can you please do a series on the Primal Dragons? They aren't the Chromatic or Metallic ones. They consist of Magma, Brine, Cloud, Crystal and Umbral Dragons! ^^
Have you considered using the epic handbook for AD&D 3.5. You can get up to level 50 or so. Many of those feats are just plain nasty powerful.
14:20 I knew there was a reason this guy was my new favorite magic card
So why are there so many dragons stronger then Tiamat? Isn't she the be all end all of Dragons?
Great D&D analysis of dragons!
