US, Japan, Philippines Unified as China Threatens Rolling Takeover of South China Sea

- MANILA - The U.S., Japan, Australia and the Philippines recently held joint military exercises in the South China Sea amid worsening harassment of China against the Philippines in the disputed territory. The goal was to help safeguard the rule of law and uphold the right to sail through and fly over the South China Sea.
While the four countries reaffirmed support of a 2016 international ruling invalidating China's expansion in the region, the communist regime continues to ignore it.
Since starting with mere fishermen sheds in 2013, China has built seven artificial islands complete with buildings, military installations, and airstrips inside the Philippines' exclusive economic zone.

It was a stand down event when China sent 14 PLA vessels against 2 Philippine Navy ships, at that time the Navy was ill equipped to enforce and an event was about to happen. UNCLOS filed by Pnoy and the Philippine won the case, yet China are still illegally occupying like what they're doing now from Tibet, India all the way to WPS for their sinister expansion.

@@carlotristandumelod2223 Sir what these people do not know is that the US Military thru General Flynn, Commander for the US Forces in the Indo Pacific, last April 4, 2024 announced the Empire's plan to deploy its Intermediate Range Precision Strike Missile System (PrSMs) in the Indo Pacific late this year. The said offensive weapon system can either be armed with conventional or tactical nuclear warheads ( banned under the Intermediate Range Nuclear Forces Treaty which the US government did not renew with Russia).
Moreover, I would not be surprised if this offensive weapon system finds its way into the territory of the Philippines where it will be aimed against targets in Mainland China. When that happens, the Philippines will become a legitimate target for a preemptive strike with China's own conventional or tactical nuclear missiles as they see fit.
My point is, these people do not understand the kind of risk what the Philippines, under the government of Marcos Junior, is getting into. These people do not understand that when war erupts between China and the US Military, it will be the Philippines and not the US Mainland that will be turned into a battleground. It will not be American citizens but the ordinary Juan and his family who cannot afford to fly away to seek refuge in another country who will be the first to die as collateral damage. These people are drunk with watching too many Hollywood Movies glamorizing the West or playing to much internet games such as Call of Duty and have lost touch with reality.

US, Japan and Philippines should sue China for violating Article 89 of the UNCLOS, which says: "No State may validly purport to subject any part of the high seas to its sovereignty." China was doing exactly that, subjecting a large part of the high seas to its sovereignty by its 9 dashes..

We don't need your take here Banlaoi. How dare you to say presence of US increased the risk of armed conflict in WPS. Since the build-up of Chinese military bases/installations and their harassment to our fisherman, the risk of armed conflict there had already significantly increased. Without the Treaty Alliance, China had long snatched Pag-Asa Island and all other Philippine occupied islands already from the Philippines because of its limited armed forces resources. You better just shut your mouth.

But I have to agree with him on what he said. This territorial dispute should be resolved peacefully between the contestants/claimants without getting a third party/foreign military involved. Make no mistake, if a war is triggered Philippines will be the biggest loser by providing the fighting ground between the two superpowers.

Yet last week, a US-China bilateral agreement meeting happened twice. The US did not raise the issue of the tensions between the Philippines & China's EEZ claims.
If America raised the issue with china without the presence of the Philippine government, it would be an insult to the Philippine government because it would look like America is trying to make a deal under the table behind the Philippine government's back.
