There are a lot of “whacky” sounds but that doesn’t mean they aren’t useful. The process might take a little longer because of it BUT one day you’re gonna be working with a project where you need them. That’s also one of the reasons I like using the Artboards feature! Makes it super easy to collect sounds you really enjoy and reuse!
I do have one however I didn’t use it for this one. I used a spotlight attachment for my one light I have to get that look! Sunset lamp is absolutely goated for the vibes tho haha
Oh, your editing is incredibly impressive-thank you so much! In almost every shot, I can see the work done in After Effects. Even though I watched your video about synchronization between DaVinci and AE, I still can’t wrap my head around it. Do you really migrate each shot back and forth between the two programs? That seems like an enormous task, turning into a tangled mess of a workflow. I’d gladly watch a video explaining the workflow for such complex projects, or perhaps you could share a quick tip-maybe I’m missing something here… 😵💫
Thank you, I appreciate it! It can be a bit convoluted at first comparing to something like dynamic link but I do think it’s faster in the end. Segments I want animations for where the clip is important ie rotoscoping I export that segment in ProRes for the quality. Import it into Ae and do all the work on it. Then export it in ProRes again and drop it into the timeline. You can end up with a lot of little clips but as long as you stay organised it usually isn’t bad.
Hey mapal you are a true inspiration for me. I want to start editing but i get overwhelmed just thinking of how many styles of editing exists. How do i get creative and think of what kind of element or any stuff to put where. And once i become good at it do we keep learning editing for our lives so wouldn't it be a very difficult task.
Starting small is always a good idea. Learning is different for everyone but I think it can be super helpful to record your own videos and edit them. Whether it’s a bunch of random clips that you edit to a song you like to get a feel for pace or if it’s a talking head video so you learn how to cut and focus on story. Once you’re comfortable with the basics you can start to look at adding in b-roll to those edits and maybe some overlays for certain parts. Slowly you’ll start to build up the confidence and your base understanding which makes new aspects easier
Music ,,,, Music ,,, Music designnnnnnnnn we want this shit ,,,, want video on this thing ,,, sfx is easy I can't scream here otherwise your ears might bleed from my frustration on this thing
I wouldn’t say that SFX is easy by any stretch of the imagination. As far as music goes it can be super hard especially once you get into stems and mixing. I’d love to do a video on it once I get a good enough grasp on it! So if you can be patient with me I’ll make it worth your while
Maybe to some and depending on the purpose. For a full on professional production I would agree but for most people like myself who are just one man bands doing it in DaVinci or premiere is good enough. Especially starting out!
The thumbnail is pure art
Thank you! I had a lot of fun making it

I was starting to worry that you wouldn’t show up! Hope you enjoy it brother
This was a good example to demonstrate how difficult it is to find good sounds. Artlist is full of wacky sounds that no one would ever use.
Yeah very messy

We need a tutorial for the thumbnail now😂
Can you tell me the name of the sfx you used in your transitions?
Hey bro what is the blending effect at 1:01:53?
I screen recorded the timeline in DaVinci, keyed out the background colour, and then I changed the blend mode of it to make it “transparent”
Are you using after roto or you have other tool to cut the subject?
Rotoscoping!
Ithink we need a tutorial on thumbnail as well😭
Which keyboard you are using?
I am using a Keychron Q1 Pro! 10/10 would recommend or the K2 HE
@@mapal thanks. Also need a tut on thumbs.
Feels illegal to watch this for free

Can you make a video on using AI in editing...like magnetsmedia does
Coming next week if all goes to plan ;)
@mapal hope so
bro i don,t know some sfx name now what can search on artlist
What type of sounds is it? Some of my favourite keywords are whooshes/clicks/pops/impact/riser/transition/winding
Mapal buddy, sorry but try and mix the sounds from the stock exchange in a DAW might be easier.
Maybe to some and depending on the purpose. For a full on professional production I would agree but for most people like myself who are just one man bands doing it in DaVinci or premiere is good enough. Especially starting out!
Bro your thumbnail make me to click even I don't want to learn sound design
It’s doing its job then! 😉
