Islam so far makes the most sense
Because Allah created us and only he knows what is the best for us
I guess the question is, what is the ultimate purpose of life? What is the end goal, while experiencing this reality for a measly 60-90 years? And who gets to outline, and define the answers to these fundamental questions? And make sure when you attempt to answer these vital questions, not to end up in circular-reasoning, of self fulfilled subjective prophecy.
In other words, you're right, because you think you're right. Without divine objective truths, we're aimless, who rely on other humans, to tell us their subjective, relative truths. Truth from the divine is rational, non contradictory, can't be replicated, is beyond human abilities, and is preserved and protected from human corruption.
Who or what says there has to be a purpose? Maybe reality just IS, and if that troubles you, go down the WHY of that rabbit 🐇 hole. There's lots of truth down there 😉

The problem you end up with when using the scientific evolution explanation is that who defines what is good? Who draws the lines? What good comes from funding nursing homes, palliative care, hospices? From an evolutionary perspective wouldn’t you be entitled to die instead of draining Human Resources? Also, from evolutionary perspective homosapiens as “animal descents” and strictly survival mode speaking, why do we need to be good ? Do not we have animalistic instincts that need to be full-filled? Why do animals have the intellect or consciousness to distinguish good and bad? Sadly there is absolutely no objective morality evolution can offer😢.

(that was a pretty dismissive statement on the complexities of addictions). I agree with James, "we know they're (the poor/needy) there and that awareness is important to being human. EMPATHY is key. (is empathy a political domain these days?). Not sure that this is just a set-up for a propaganda claim about Islam... ;) I don't like the dark/despair that he (the speaker) uses to set up his assertion.

@@stayspiritualthat is the problem of self-referrentialism. How do you know what you believe is *the* correct interpretation/understanding of the Divine? For those who do not believe in Revelations, they cannot have an answer. For those who do, now comes the matter of authenticating the revelation.
There is always the spiritual aspect in every religion, even in Islam, which is commonly perceived as the _unreasonably_ strictest of them all. Muslims philosophize as well, the difference being that Muslim thinkers operate strictly within the parameter defined by God Himself, not by carelessly exploring groundless thoughts. Even with such "limitation", it has been 1400+ years and there is still wisdom to be derived from the Qur'an and Hadith. True wisdom is independent of time and "progress".
"Define your own truth" means you do not care for *The* Truth. That is a self-indulgent attitude. It just so happens that it does not involve materialism. The same sort of pride that plagues the pagan sophist of the past, who almost always turn to self-worship.

The question you are asking 'why' every time is because there are things that are predisposed in humans so your question why does not make any sense of skepticism. Like Humans are curious it's a predisposition and if you really want the answer then you must ask who created it in the first place and what's the purpose.

In Islam they fear God they survive from God but in 🕉 we seek God to experience the God rather than surviving God. In Islam you can't question their belief there are lot of errors in Quran those who questioned it were killed un Mercifuly. In 🕉 you can ask the question it has all the freedom. That's what lead you to seek God rather than trapped in a fear circle
I think the goal here is to try and understand each other better. Deconstruction and analysis based on personal experience. Its easy to see the limits of other systems, but can we see the limits of our own? ✌❤
