  • Control arms are the core of your front suspension system. In simple terms, control arms are the link that connects your front wheels to your car. One end connects to the wheel assembly and the other end connects to the framework of your car.
    The control arms are one of the core components of a suspension system and serve as the direct connection points between the front wheel assemblies and the vehicle's frame. The control arms allow a driver to steer a car while also guiding the wheels up and down with the road surface.
    Watch this video to learn how truck shock are made. This video is about truck shocks manufacturing, and you'll learn about the different parts of a truck shock absorber, as well as the manufacturing process.
    Many front-wheel drive vehicles only use a lower control arm, while trucks and SUVs often have both an upper and lower control arm. A control arm connects the wheel hub and steering knuckle to the frame of the vehicle.
    If you're looking to buy a truck shock , then this video is for you. You'll also get a chance to see how a truck shock is made, from start to finish. So watch this video and learn all you need to know about truck shock absorber.
    Shock absorbers are primarily used to “damp” the bouncing motion of the a vehicle's body after it encounters a bump. By keeping the body motions under control, the vehicle's tires remain in contact with the ground for improved handling and control.
    “Driving on rough or unpaved roads, towing a trailer or carrying heavy loads, can shorten their functional life,” says Reina. “With heavy use, you could be looking to replace them at 40,000 or 50,000 miles or sooner. Under normal conditions, 75,000 to 90,000 miles might be reasonable.”
    The majority of cars and SUVs on the road today have struts on the front wheels and shocks in the back. It's possible that your vehicle has 4-wheel struts or, if it's a very old vehicle, it could have four shocks, but this isn't as common.

    What amazes me is how all the machinery left over by the colonisers is still functional😮 and serving these people after all this time despite obvious lack of maintenance. European engineering is truly to behold, and something these people should be grateful for

    You can see why a lot of guys there just open a food stand. A lot simpler. The amount of work, machines, and ingenuity that goes into making these shocks is amazing. I hope they get a good buck for them.

    I think that's more like a large pinch turnbuckle and is nothing close to any kind of shock absorber at least they've got shoes and some even have glasses and gloves 👍👍👍

    Parting shot is someone on a drill press drilling holes in a random pattern at a bunch of random angles, not even close to a straight line. I feel sorry for the forging guy and the machinist that the last operation basically nullified all their work....

    • @robbiemckinnon7901
      @robbiemckinnon7901 Рік тому

      I believe those holes are just for pinch bolts, used to clamp the threaded collar together and lock it into position, so it keeps its overall set length. As such, they don't need to be drilled to NASA tolerances.
