I like leng yue but she’s really not beautiful. I know many asian girls in real life who’d be much more beautiful than her. As an actress she of course does take good care of her skin so her glowy skin definitely compensates for her otherwise very average facial features. She is very tall and does a reasonably good job with her role which pleasantly surprised is not an annoying female second character. The female lead is in fact much more beautiful than her and even she wouldn’t be counted as a real beauty by Chinese celebrity standards. Honestly I feel like they casted this actress for Leng Yue due to the Chinese custom that female second cannot be more beautiful than the female lead. It’s kind of annoying. And it also really wouldn’t be an issue if in the series leng yue wasn’t kept being described as the most beautiful woman in the city. Because otherwise she does fit this masculine tom boy vibe. But most beautiful woman in the city? My dad hilariously commented: “sure, because there are only two families in the whole city so...” 😂
That's your opinion, it's okay to have your own preference. But don't state it like a fact. Like other people said, beauty is in the eye of beholder. I think she is very beautiful. I think she is more beautiful than Chu Chu, because Chu Chu gives me another vibe, she's pretty in a cute way.

If I were to put all of the recent high profile young Chinese actresses together playing in roles specifically for being a beauty in a single file, I bet most people would rank her to be one of the very last.
