Yeah I went through all the bikes when I was buying my new S1K in 2021. Nearly done a deal on a used 2018 CBR 1000 red bull livery but that fell through. Then the new CBR RRR came out but that was €28,000 compared to the S1K M package €24,000 (back in 2021) Thought about a ZX10 but really I knew it had to be an S1k m package. Covid made ordering and getting the bike difficult but eventually the van arrived with my brand new S1k with only 3km on the clock. Just wonderful. Nearly 10,000 trouble and mishap free km's up on it now.

Bmw is the most comfortable and smooth bike! I daily a 2019 Yamaha R1, you get used to it after a while. Lol
The r1 was such a fun bike for me to ride but after riding the s1k you get so spoiled 😂😭

It is a good starter bike, most likely you would grow out of it quickly. If you’re looking to buy your first bike, can I make a recommend?
I think it’s important to not start on anything with too much power, in addition to learning how to ride, you need to learn how to respect the bike and the power between your legs. So when shopping for a first bike, I would recommend buying a Ninja 400 over a 650. The 650’s only advantage is adding about 20mph to your top speed, for about twice the price. Buy a 400 which the intent of upgrading to a real 600 class sportsbike, like the zx6r or r6. You could even go from a ninja 400 to a liter bike, like I did.
The ninja 650 isn’t a good bike in my opinion. Save money buying a used ninja 400, ride it for a summer, and then upgrade once you have a good feel for riding/managing power.
I started on a ninja 650 and loved it, too each their own but I don’t think you’d out grow it quickly but if you want something of that class get an r7
