- MSNBC asked Americans outside the Supreme Court and the Capitol what they think of the Supreme Court's ruling that former President Trump has some immunity from prosecution in his federal election interference case. The court said former presidents are entitled to "absolute immunity" from criminal prosecution for actions within their "conclusive and preclusive" constitutional authority. Do you agree with this ruling?

I’m a veteran. I used my GI Bill to get a college education so that I may able to be a decent job and take care of myself and those close to me. Biden is not to blame. Veterans have more resources than ever!
Exactly! I retired a few years ago and landed a nice civilian, job thanks to the training and education I got while in the military. I use the VA for medical stuff now and I have had a pretty good experience with them too. That includes mental health services. Some people just don't take advantage of what is available to them, then complain years later when they get out unprepared for civilian life.
I'm using mine to do a second master in cybersecurity. Already have one master in computer science 😂. I use the TA to own bunch of certifications in IT. It is just not ok for you to serve and not use your benefits. But you meet a lot of folks in the military who will tell you college is not for me. But I will say find something else to do like trade school or something you like but well!!!

My brother is retired Navy, and wanted to move from one part of the state of MA. to another area. He got a ton of help with finding and getting a Very nice apartment: One with a washer/ dryer, and a nice kitchen with a dishwasher!! I think my brother was subsidized, too? The rent for that nice apartment seemed to be fairly low, although the apartment was only one bed room - but a very nice apartment, in Marlborough.

Lower courts have to decide what Trump did was part of official or unofficial act.

Except that one of the reasons the Senate republicans gave for not convicting him was that the courts could handle it, since he was just about to leave office. So... No. Conviction in the Senate is not a requirement to be tried in the courts.

They also made it so anything that could be considered official cannot be used in a court proceeding meaning the president can talk to members of their cabinet to plan crimes but none of those meetings can be used as evidence against the president in court cuz the “meetings were official acts”
Also don’t know why a president would EVER need the ability to commit crimes. Literally can’t think of a single time
@@helpumuch6887 It's not that the President can do ANYTHING. It's linked to official acts. Those acts do hae to be defined and adjudicated,. But that's a necessary part of the ruling. It's just like caps. They have to have a certain assumption of immunitywhen doing their job. They cannot operate with all the same legal jeopardy as the average citizen. if so, you couldn't get people to do that job.
With a President its the same. If they ncouod be sued every thime the country went to war. Or every time the CIA or FBI engaged in a coverrt operation thatn the presidency would be paralyzed to act in times of crisis.

Ironic that the homeless veteran supports the Supreme Court right-wing judges, considering that they ruled that homeless people can get jail time for sleeping outside. That includes veterans too.

Anyone holding a sign saying “Homeless” Veteran is homeless because they chose to be. As a real veteran, I know that there are programs specifically tailored to help homeless veterans get work and be housed. I see these signs and immediately think they’re lying, and yes, I’m a veteran who’s been to war.

Filled with veterans that mainly have PTSD or other mental illnesses.
However, I do agree that begging is a scam.

@@Raithe69 Bruh, I lived in a Veteran Homeless program facility for 2 years. We all have a cross to bear, some choose to let it weigh them down, waiting for someone else to pick it up, others workout with it, get stronger, then one arm carry it like it’s a paper weight. In the end, it’s a choice.

I think we've probably all known people who are (at least temporarily) without a home but don't look utterly _destitute._ Maybe he's living with relatives, has a shelter he can crash at, etc. Selling a ring or shoes wouldn't likely get you enough money for a month's rent and deposit in many places.
I seriously doubt anything about his current situation can be blamed on President Biden. But you can't just assume such extreme things about a person based on their clothes.
