"Yes, go back to your experiments. I'm just going to make a call to Starfleet. You may expect a visit from the time police yesterday."
Temporal investigators office
I'm sure that as soon as the Enterprise was out of transmission range that scientist 'mysteriously' disappeared.
@@squeakhawk01I mean, that would explain why we never heard about this experiment or the scientist again. All official records were probably wiped while he suffered from a transporter “accident”.
"Halloo, I am Sigmund Freud, but you can call me, 'Siggy'. --- These two ladies seem to be suffering from a mild form of hysteria..."
"That's fine and all, but where tf is the cocaine at?"
- Sigmund Freud
He's such a geek.
@@FutureDeep Napoleon approved
@@FutureDeep”Ha ha, geek!” - Socrates
True, it should of had the same fate as the Krenium temporal weapon ship. Now that I think about it, they had similar effects too. The Year of Hell was a great plot line.
Yeah it's a shame that was so condensed rather than the whole season they wanted at first.
@@paulhudson8725 Agreed. It was an ingesting story arc as a two parter. If it was an entire season it could of gone down in sci-fi history as something not usually done… good or bad. If they could have stuck the landing post year of hell and reengaged the audience in cast they may have thought was dead could of been amazing. Maybe even go in an entirely new direction… hopefully without narrative whiplash.
@@paulhudson8725 I feel like Season Three of Enterprise was a good enough take on the idea
Literally 90% of the episode was Picard brooding over a girlfriend that didn't work out in his 20s. Then we threw Data at the little problem with the temporal lab, with almost no tension and nothing at stake. Data wrapped the whole thing up in the last 5 minutes.
You LITERALLY just described The Year Of Hell. That's how it ended!
The Year of Hell gets a pass because its timeline was wiped from existence. By the end Janeway has no idea Eric Forman's dad is making a retroactive genocide laser.
'cause she's a dumbass. Also all the crew.
"... and they all learned the true meaning of Christmas!"
TBF the easy solution of overworking spouse/parent changes focus is trite as hell for the 80s. It makes sense because we seen it so many damn times.
You're not going to mention she was in the Mamas and the Papas?
basically, that's why the time ship relativity is introduced later as an intertemporal police force whose only task is to eliminate time travel disasters that should appear in exactly such a situation in order to lock the corresponding man up in the intertemporal prison forever, which of course is not a secret code for executing him as soon as you are no longer on screen because you are the good guys
This is the same plot as Back to the Future.
The reward at the end of the movie should have been love and not money.
But them the communists might win!
Isn't this basically Voyagers Year Of Hell?
Yea it was better
I mean, who wouldn't want to have spent more time with Mama Michelle
Do they ever explain why that one Data know’s he’s the correct one?
He made time machine to go back time when his girlfriend love him still and replace share with the future one
For better or worse at the end of ST:VOY two parter Year of Hell, the timeship is destroyed and the timeline is reset..
Time Captain Red Forman (Kurtwood Smith) is beckoned by his wife to spend some time with her.
And he walks away from his time calculations
Oh, just wait till you get to Voyager! hehe
Truly fucked, thank you for pointing this out. Never heard of your channel but i subscribed.
This fix should never have worked. The "It's me" data wasn't from the timeline we see normally.
If you watch the episode you would know it wasn’t going to destroy the universe. But a system and effect nearby systems
Where is DS9 content?
In the future. And the past.
Upper pylon 4
DS9? What's that? No DS9 in this timeline.
"That sort of connection can't happen anymore." What sort? Bit confused here.
T h e P l a n e t o i d
Love you guys.
I have one for you. Where the hell was Q?
He put humanity on trial for barbarism but he doesn't care if a human almost destroys the universe? I would think even the Q would care at least a little if the universe keeps existing. He likes playing around in the universe.
Is this the one with an extra incoherent Picard?
Meeeeee 😂
I love Trek, but there is a lot of goofy shit in it. That's one of the reasons Lower Decks is so funny.
He should be getting a visit from Dulmer and Lucsly of Temporal Affairs! ⏰⏳🗓️
