And let me tell you, Indian Army did not even let the Azad Hind Fauj join the post independence Indian Army! Sir just a correction: Malaysia never ordered Tejas from India, instead it gave the order to South Korean FA-50. Nigeria & Argentina too rejected Tejas. USA's betrayal in supplying F-404 engines is one of the key reasons that we lost these export chances.

Here's a real life example : Due to my father's posting in a central department, we were required to be living inside a military cantonment for most of his service. We entered in staff quarters of a military cantonment in Jammu in the year 2005. It felt like that the time has stopped, old and pathetic equipment was being used by the army, "bullet proof" jacket simply was bulky and idk what was being used but they were brick sized and HEAVY. Roads inside in miserable condition, projects to upgrade or modernize the facilities inside always delayed. Though there was some improvement in 2010s but it stayed more or less the same. During 2014, I finished my graduation but still was living inside the cantt with my family and left for higher studies in another state. When I came back during the semester end, I saw something completely different. The soldiers were now carrying new stock AK-47 and M4 rifles, their bulletproof jackets were completely different and visibly lighter, their helmets could give American helmets a run for their money, and every picket from gate to my quarter had a generator connection and they were locally controlled unlike before when they were controlled by MES folks, who were often very late to start the gen supply if power went out. I left the cantt in 2023 when my father retired, but I can assure you, there was no match for the soldier that I saw in 2005 with what I witnessed by the time I left. I may have many disagreements with BJP but a sincere thanks for doing what I saw with my own two eyes!
Indian Army is the 4th best army in the world, after USA, Russia and China and we surely have a lot of gap to bridge. After 2014, the defense structure of India has been improving significantly but, there's always room for more. If India and China were to go at war sometime in the near future, China would surely have an edge over India, but on the other hand, it will not be the India they faced in 1962. This is the Indian Army which will not hesitate to fight to death for even the shortest piece of land. I personally think that the rate at which we're growing will someday put us above the others.

You are misinformed about Tejas being acquired by Malaysia, it's not true, they chose the South Korean FA/50 fighter jet. Yes they were interested and a lot of countries are but so far we haven't sold a single Tejas to any foreign country.
Sir there are many advantages and disadvantages in this conflict Firstly as you said about the delay of LCA TEJAS if it had been delivered on time then we wouldn't have to buy the French Rafels and we would have saved money. We would have proceeded towards other R & D projects for our Defence Forces. In the war with China we have geopolitical advantages but not with our neighbours so if we need any help Or assistance it would be totally western. Russians would be neutral thorought the conflict. All this will eventually lead to technological disadvantages against Chinese. Although our troops have moral but then need weaponry as well. My father is also in the armed forces. He personally says that Insas rifle is a bad weapon. The main force in war is infantrymen and what they have in their hand is the worst weapon. We may win in himalayas but in arunanchal pradesh we would have a hard fight. It is a downsloped area the rain water can flood Assam mainly lower assam. It will make mobility slow in the Northeast and seven Sisters. Also we have Naxalites in seven sister. Now the problem of Manipur have gotten worse. So basically in kashmir we will have two front war. In North East we could face a three front from Myanmar, Bangladesh and China. Although our main focus is to defend so navy will play a crucial indirect role by blocking all trade routes for Chinese through the indian ocean. Upar upar se toh yahi hai outcome baki who knows. Old doesn't mean obsolete... The B-52 and U2 are decades old, but are regularly upgraded. Tejas' timeline is not surprising. US's F35 took many years too. The Bradley tank took decades to complete and it had tons of issues after deployment.

You are misinformed about Tejas being acquired by Malaysia, it's not true, they chose the South Korean FA/50 fighter jet. Yes they were interested and a lot of countries are but so far we haven't sold a single Tejas to any foreign country.

Sir there are many advantages and disadvantages in this conflict
Firstly as you said about the delay of LCA TEJAS if it had been delivered on time then we wouldn't have to buy the French Rafels and we would have saved money. We would have proceeded towards other R & D projects for our Defence Forces.
In the war with China we have geopolitical advantages but not with our neighbours so if we need any help Or assistance it would be totally western. Russians would be neutral thorought the conflict.
All this will eventually lead to technological disadvantages against Chinese.
Although our troops have moral but then need weaponry as well. My father is also in the armed forces. He personally says that Insas rifle is a bad weapon. The main force in war is infantrymen and what they have in their hand is the worst weapon.
We may win in himalayas but in arunanchal pradesh we would have a hard fight. It is a downsloped area the rain water can flood Assam mainly lower assam. It will make mobility slow in the Northeast and seven Sisters.
Also we have Naxalites in seven sister. Now the problem of Manipur have gotten worse. So basically in kashmir we will have two front war.
In North East we could face a three front from Myanmar, Bangladesh and China.
Although our main focus is to defend so navy will play a crucial indirect role by blocking all trade routes for Chinese through the indian ocean.
