The beginning of the chorus has an amazing arrangement of rhythm, instrumentation and melodies. I love the steady urgency of the beat that adds emotional genuinity to the song. And perfect vocals, of course.

I been listening to Jennifer Rush since around 1984 and listening to her music watching her body movements, l don't know if there's ever been a singer that transmits so much sensuous emotions has she does, l don't think she's really performing as much as she's making love to her audience, with every fiber of her body and the heat and pleasures of her soul it's like being with a new lover for the first time. Who knows maybe it's because she writes so many of her songs that she can sing them with so much feeling and emotion.

Always loved Jens songs and always will but the best song and best feel good song she ever sang was power of love definitely one of the best songs ever wrote.
And not to be forgotten, this song was written by Germans Gunter Mende (who discovered her) and Candy de Rouge for Jennifer. These two produced her first two albums and as well wrote „The Power of Love“ for her!!! Albums were produced and recorded in Germany!
