I have gotten feedback from several students that sitting against the wall is not comfortable. If that’s the case, you can learn the movements and then do them while lying on your back. Initially, I teach students to use the wall or floor to be able to locate and return the neck and back to a neutral but organic posture (no head forward). When your body mapping gets better at recognizing when your skull is sitting properly on the spine, you can also do this seated without the wall and use hands on the floor behind you for support. 🙏
@@elli8438 on the floor is my preferred way to do it, but you typically see this taught seated with hands holding you up. Let me know how the floor works.
Hi Elli, thanks for finding me and commenting. The headache cure is interesting; that has been brought up a few times here and in classes. Peace, Megan
Yes, a surprise to most. I call the feet the brains of the spine. Well documented correlation between back pain (including neck) and limited mobility/proprioception in feet and ankles. 🙏
Can you please recommend which exercise would be best for pain in the whole spine, especially mid back? Also is there any other position you can do this routine in, I really struggled sitting upright against the wall. Thank you and I am so pleased to have found your channel
Hi Maria you can also try this lying down on your back and do the neck and leg movements the same. As far as other videos, if you are not familiar with my channel, I would recommend my Back Care playlist. Midback specifically will benefit from any torso movements like this video: ua-cam.com/video/KpwkfPVPngo/v-deo.html Or ua-cam.com/video/1uve119RYA8/v-deo.html
Hi Leah, most of my knowledge came from yoga therapy trainings, particularly pain care and the subtle body. The toes are considered our grip into reality energetically. Try searching out more info about nerve flossing. 🙏
Thank you so much. I definitely felt this in my upper back, right under my shoulder blades while working with my left foot🙏💕 some wonderful deep stretching ᥫ᭡
Another prize ! Next time I will release my back ( with my roller) before working The Magic. Rrather intriguing , the way the body works. Bonus is that not only my neck feels looser but my feet are more aware. Thank you so much.
Great exercise. I found it difficult down my right side where I have a very tight Sternomastoid and my right hip.. Can you recommend other exercises? Thanks.👍
@Megan MacCarthy Thanks Meghan. I've struggled with groin pain, hip pain , low back pain and neck pain for years. These gentle exercises will really help I hope . Much appreciated. 👌
The discomfort can move. It nay be do to the way you were sitting; so you may want to try it lying down. And follow up with a gentle back movement like arch and curl.
I need a lot of rewiring and am up for the challenge. I went through this session a second time. It was a little bit more manageable. I am amazed at how you are able to talk while you are going through the movements!
Oh geez. Those phones! These phones!! Haha. I'm trying to get away from it as much as possible, but so difficult. This video really saved me today!! Will keep coming back for it.
This practice really fired up the muscles between my shoulder blades,,, interesting. Thank you. 🙏🏼
Good on you to notice such specifics and thanks for commenting 🥰

Thank you! This was amazing. My headache is gone and my neck pain is a lot better. This was my first video from you, but definetly not my last

Thanks for these movements. Where can I learn more about the relationship between the toes and neck?

My toes loved that magic and the neck is happy with the results of that toe crease trick.🐾😃
You know I love the tricks Stephanie, if only for the smiles 😊 🤗

It worked great for my nek. However during the exercise, I felt the tension migrate to my back. Is this normal?

This was challenging. Reminds me of trying to rub stomach and pat head at the same time!

All i know is my neck is not as stiff and that’s a win-win and my floor needs to be mopped😆. 🙏
Haaaaa! But if you wear the right socks you can clean your floors while releasing your neck! 😂🤗
Headache is gone!
That’s a fabulous unexpected benefit! Thanks for the good news.
I suspect too much phone use, so think the neck is the culprit of my headaches. Thank you as always.
