GGs Henry! I was the one with the shadow venu. That arboliva threw me off so much! I should’ve been more patient when you caught the frenzy with lant but very well played on your end!
With positive coverage and a unique Normal/Grass typing, Arboliva looks to be a sleeper in Open, and I guarantee it will have some distinguishable niche plays in various specialty cups.
Weird indeed, but I think opp realizes with their back line they need to save Medi for Lanturn since Steelex and Basti gets wrecked by WG Lanturn. Still hilarious to see regardless!
Game is definitely glitching right now. My charizard threw a blast burn and the animation was a sludge wave and another time my Roselia threw a Dazzling Gleam but animation was a Play Rough.
11:50 sometimes when I battle team Rocket my Pokemon keep sending weird moves such as "kartan use fire blast" and one time it sends a rock throw. It just seems to be a visual glitch as the dmg is correct. Not complaining, it just interesting and funny
I always appreciate you running new Pokémon first so I don’t have to be my own test subject lol I always appreciate your videos and content bro keep up the magnificent work you are appreciated
I used to be a big fan of grass mons because (not too long ago) @ least 15 out of 25 daily battles featured a swampert! however now I don't see too many swamperts. In fact I tried the arboliva in few battles, with same moves that you're using in this vid, it does well against stuff that are vulnerable to it's moves however it's also vulnerable to a lot so if I'm stuck against bug, grass, flying, fighting or ice then my arboliva is in trouble.
@@HomeSliceHenry In ML though, my Kartana is my baby, she can take out Kyogre, Groudon, even Mewtwo with higher CP than her although Mewtwo is not vulnerable to grass! The only issue with Kartana though is that she has no defense, if Groudon goes for either fire or blades or Mewtwo goes for flamethrower I have to shield her out!
You’re going to want one that’s more tanky I would think. Mine is a rank 44 and I still win cmp over 90% of the medicham I run into. That said you would win every cmp with a 15/15/15 so if you’re fine with it being less bulky you could run it
Its still level 49, the defense stat is the same as the most ideal pvp IVs, and the attack stat is a solid bit higher. This medi will always win the mirror match against the lvl 50 ideal medi.
If you see people using higher IV spreads than the typical 0/15/15 standard line vs the 6/15/10 etc or so it means they are built specifically for a matchup you want to win in general and also against mirrors. Higher Atk IV will allow you to win CMP against some pokemons and also lets you reach breakpoints against certain matchups where you really want that extra damage through especially if its a tanky pokemon your going up against. If your not sure what breakpoint means it means you have enough to get +1 damage extra against a pokemon with fast move notably a good example with Shadow Dragonair hitting 3 per DB vs 4 per DB with a higher attack stat on a Lickitung for example.
Aerial Ace buff made it just very powerful. Being able to reach it in 5 fast moves along with Grass coverage for Frenzy Plant which is reachable in 6 makes it quite deadly. It's ranked pretty high in the GL and it actually performs pretty good against most common picks being able to win against Medicham in a close match as well. It beats Carbink, Lickitung, Pelipper(for a grass type), Cresselia, Vigoroth, Deoxys which are quite common picks and of course the most obvious hard counters are against the Water types like Lanturn, Swampert, Mudbois. The only struggle Serperior has is against Flying/Fire/Ice/Steel types but with Flying/Grass charge moves its quite easy to teambuild for the weaknesses.
Bastiodon deserved that 1HP Earth Power!
It had to be done 😂
i like chicken nuggets
I haven't even watch the video and I agree already
I fkn hate Bastiodon and I have a rank 2 powered up that I refuse to use.

00:50 Now how funny would it have been if that were an Ice Beam lool
I was so hyped to be able to use one in PvP after using one in my Scarlet Violet playthrough.
Looks promising, but hard to justify over other picks.

Another Pokémon I can put on my list of “Pokémon whose official pronunciation I refuse to pronounce,” which also include Mantine.
Do you pronounce it manteen or mantine?
Oh yeah, and rayqueyza 😑
@@coolbananlolol5179mantine by so much
Don't forget Ferroseed and Ferrothorn
@@MintyTea_Nwhat other way are you supposed to pronounce it?
Such a nice first match to show off Arboliva!
* sends in Steelix *
And honestly, I am extremely confused by that decision 😂

11:50 shambles, Henry, shambles
11:50 arboliva game Breaker confirmed 😂

Its funny but also bad i used something on a tangrowth but it turned out as dig
😀
When battling rocket grunts my Pokemons are using the moves of Grunt's Pokemons. But the damage is normal

Hit ace for the first time been playing for 11 months and on my first encounter in the gbl after hitting ace I got a shiny guzzlord
Deerling is also a Grass/Normal ;)
11:48 i also got not very effective from a shadow ball from giratina
Beautiful catch on the laturn to take the venu charge move

Yeah when it comes to grass types, serperior and venusaur end up outperforming arboliva. I hope arboliva can get a move update in the future!

Had to come watch and enjoy homeslice after the algorithm had my ass all day, like smashing my head into a brick wall lol
Hi, Henry and community! What do u think of 15/15/15 Medicham for Great League? Is it worth using? (I don’t have a good Medi btw)

Im running a Hundo Medicham in GL until my #7GL one is built. I've had success so far with my 100% but you don't want more bulk on Medicham typically
@@heathwyokeI’m kinda desperate to get a Medi and an Azu! Hahaha
I saw her face... Now I'm Arboliva!
Apparently there's a new type out - neutral. :)
Hmmm good to know seeming how I just caught a 100% one now to power it up and. Try it out
100% IV would not be ideal for PVP
@@metalmemberberriesit's not a mon you'll use all the time anyway, so it doesn't matter
That magical dmg is terrifying
Bullet seed arboliva sounds good
why does every one the same top?????
Henry there's no such thing as bad manners towards Stinky Binky aka Carbink and Bastiodon only for what those Mons deserve 😂
Super effective earthquake 💀 games breaking by the day
homeslice u put ur medicham ivs wrong there
They are actually correct! 10/15/6
were they intentional
Yes, very much so
Wtf are those medi ivs henry! 😂 still goated videos tho!

Intentional ivs, they allow for a counter breakpoint and bulkpoint in the mirror
