One confusing change in Descript Underlord is: where to apply templates in your project. I walk you through selecting a clip, duplicating it, and transforming it into a social media-friendly composition. I demonstrate the only current method to apply templates-by selecting the scene and choosing from the scene section. I discuss recent changes where templates now replace previous elements rather than add to them, explaining how this impacts your project workflow and suggesting ways to manage these changes effectively.

Cristi, if I have an audio only project and I have two saved templates (an intro and an outro music), how do I import them into my project?
You have to convert that composition to a video one first. Then you can apply the templates to it.
Thanks for the video Cristi. I’m still finding the template thing a bit funky. For instance, I’ve created a template with the caption design I want, but it also saved the video clip. So now when I apply the template, it applies the clip. Should I go back into the template and delete the vid clip?
Is the video clip in the template on a separate layer or is it part of the script track?
