Yep it can be tough on this canal. There isn't a really big head of pike and nearly all are small. If I could go anywhere else in the time I have available to fish I would.

What part of the canal do you fish mate?
Cover a lot of miles mate walking the dogs I go. Mainly Maghull through to Burscough.
