Wall box maybe £300-400 but In Uk you need to outlay £1000 on the wall box and installation. You could buy a lot petrol/diesel for that even before you factor in the cost of charging.

I charge my own at home when I go to sleep. I have long since set the car to stop at 75 percent. When done driving.. I plug it in my easee charger which I prefer to a wallbox.(better app). I go home.. watch tv. play some games, whatever.. before I go to sleep. Wake up and go a car finished with charging
Edit: I do have to either start my charging by starting it in app or using an rfid-chip. I could edit that away in the app but I want the security of someone else not charging their car with the electricity I have to pay for.

Thank you for the personal experience! Perfectly illustrates how the time it takes to charge is irreleveant in day to day. Good point about someone else charging from your energy source, I've seen enough videos of Tesla owners charging on someone else's home charger, do if yours is publicly accessible, I totally understand the security thing and would do the same thing.

@@siasek Yep, have seen the same videos.. Chip/app stays :)
And really all i do is plug it in and go to the charger to start it with the chip.
      No worries.
But chargers is quite a subject also.
What are best? I landed on easee for myself, but new tech comes out now.. and bidirectional charging seems exiting!
Imagine the power going out and all you do is power up your car, and use that as a house battery?
Support 22 kw as you said? It is just not just pick a charger as far as I am concerned.
Also.. should the cable be installed in the charger or just be a connector for a cable?
In mine I bought a second charging cable so I have one for trips(rarely used) and one that i through the app locked in tight for ease of use with me just plugging in at night.

This is exactly what I'm looking forward to, unfortunately both V2L, let alone V2G is expanding so slowly! Cars that have a 22 kW AC charger (Megane E-Tech, Smart #3, Volvo EX30..) of course have neither. 🫤
I personally like the Wallbox with an attached cable best, but it depends on the application

@@siasek In due time those cars will come.
As for the charger. That was what I meant with the easee. it comes without a cable.
So you put in your charging cable. open the app. select lock.. and it is solidly stuck there charging or no charging.
If something is wrong with it? I press unlock.. and exchange it :)
Also it integrates with my power company so I can see exactly how much I spend per month :)

That's great, I wish we had that here too! But we're a bit far behind with that in the Czech Republic 😏 But I'm staying optimistic for things to change soon!
