You will never make thousands being a woodworker as people these days only seem to want to buy items that they then throw away after a few months of use. Not many people these days appreciate the natural beauty of timber nor the talent of working with it to produce one off items. Trying to sell anything made of timber on the open market is fraught with angst. I am a retired cabinet maker and professional woodturner and l used to attend craft fairs as a way of making a bit of cash. My work is and always has been of the highest quality and what put me off from attending any more craft fairs was a customer who examined everything on the table and then said " Which third world country did you buy this crap in from ". It was a good job my wife was not around as l don't think he would have walked out when he left.
