in my family, the people who love and play pokemon range from 6 years old to 30. i'm 23. pokemon was our childhood and we still love. and are cuzins are loving it too :)

The only thing I didn't like about this game was the Mega Evolution. I only used it for the required segment, (which was only one battle I think) then I never touched it. I love that it doesn't force you to use it and just allow us to enjoy the game our way! :)
We don't know at this time, sadly. If Pikachu's in them its probably in a Safari-Zone like feature due to Pikachu being native to only one location in the pokemon world, and that is Red/Blue/FireRed/LeafGreen's Viridian Forest. There are a number of fan-sites that you can follow that will inform you as soon as more information comes about, such as Pokebeach, Bulbagarden, and Serebii. Pikachu has been used as an example for a number of the demos, so there's hope for availability.
This is so awesome! Pokémon is getting more interesting and plus adding a new type was a great idea. Many people were hoping for a new type for so years now, and here it is. They finally got their wish.
that can work too but think about this, we don't have to rely on another pokemon having either rain dance or the drought ability to make water moves stronger, the field itself is already a power booster. do you get where I'm going with this? I don't think that rs&e had this.
I'm 26 here, paying rent, starting playing since the first generation, and still enjoy playing Pokémon. It's just a solid game series. That speaks to its legend.
You're never too old. Although I'm only 17 I'm freaking excited about this game man. And besides it's up to you! Even if you're 48 years old, if you love the Pokémon games you should buy them and play them! :)
I think you're right, if I remember correctly I saw the trainer climb up a structure oposing the structure the enemy was on to challenge him to a sky battle, so for what I've seen these battles won't be triggered by the whole "you crossed my line of vision" thing it would still be epic if there'd be a flying type gym with only sky battles though, that'd be the kinda thing forcing the player to take a different aproach for the set-up of his/her party, I'd like to see that
When i was about 10 years old, i thought Pokemon was just for kids, i only knew the anime. Then these 2 friends showed me the games, the result was me getting a ds and pokemon ruby, then diamond, black, black 2 and currently waiting for x/y. At a tournament i also met one guy, i think he was in his 30/40's. He was participating in the tournament, and so was his son. I think his son got him into the games, and now they play together. That is just awesome.
you said it right. most people who hate on pkmn have no idea how complex and fun competitive battling is. i'm 20 and thats the main reason why i still love pokemon. i dont understand what you mean by ''100 peta(10^15)'' though
I think it's still an attack move, but to my knowledge it hasn't been used in the field since it's introduction in RSE. Kinda like how Whirlpool was in GSC and Rock Climb in DPPt.
Wow, I didn't know they spoke English! OK, I know it's a translator, but it really looks like it's them talking. This is pretty awesome. So excited for this game!
I've been a Pokémon fan from the moment my Dad bought me Pokémon Blue for the Gameboy Color and I am so freaking thrilled with this new and incredible Pokémon game that Nintendo has for us. Seriously, on behalf of all the Pokémon fans in the world, Congratulations Game Freak, Congratulations Nintendo. and Thank You
Unova is New York City and a little bit of New Jersey. Developer interviews have said as much, but even if they hadn't that should be obvious just looking at the map. I've heard Orre is based on Arizona but I don't see it. I don't think spinoff regions are based on real world ones.
true but the problem for that is that the whole battle still acted like a surface fight. I mean it would be helpful if the trainer was wearing something like a scuba mask like that from the anime, not huge but a portable one.
*washes my face off with water* *dries hair and head with white towel* *looks into the mirror* *the reflection in the mirror freezes in silence even as i say words to it* *a ray of light beams down on the mirror from the sun to dare put a shine toward my face* *the sun becomes eclipsed* *blood runs down the mirror* *it cracks* have i ever mentioned i liked to watch channel two "2" on tv's it makes me feel like its snow, really though its only static
thank you for correcting me for some reason whenever i'm typing i tend to make mistakes like spelling a word wrong and i forget to type in certain words so i'll take any friendly advice to improve my typing skills and also thank you for agreeing with me.
I sincerely hope they bring back the soul silver/heart gold feature where your first pokemon followed you. That and I really hope those rumors about there being co-op in your game and having a friend come in, along with far more diverse customization for your character. Either way really excited for this and can't wait to get Pokemon Y!
it is pretty interesting for me. I want to see how these battles play out. Plus, it would make the nuzlocke challenge easier because there is a chance you can find different pokemon in the horde battle.
I don`t know, but I think there would be different places, like the white forest in Pokemon White and the black city in Pokemon Black. And there are more than 1 different Pokemon in each version. :)
so wait on the player search system, are you still able to randomly search for an opponent and battle them like you could in black/white and black 2/white 2?
There are six in just the main series games. (This is including Kalos) When you start adding the ones from the side series and spin-offs, there's more.
Wait second, could someone answer this question? Do they still have the HM dive in Pokemon? There could be some pretty cool looking underwater battles.
They weren't suppose to talk about the game being set in a France-like region? It's obvious that it's in France (or at least similar). Why would they treat that info a secret?
I've already pre-ordered both versions! Plus if we see Charzard in the trailer, that means we get a kanto starter in the game as well as the Kalos starter, just like HeartGold and SoulSilver (and hopefully before you beat the game)
the dive technique was very unique, I was hyped about it and hoping for something like it for fg/lg but that turned out to be disappointment since it was a remake. I thought they would put more accessories into it but hg and ss rectify the problem. :) btw you did get one of them right? I recommend them for a fourth gen games.
I think you have a choice for sky battles, like if you don't have a Pokemon that can fly or such, you get a choice to battle or not. This is what I THINK though, not sure if it is true.
Add a way for you to battle all protagonists/rivals from all games like blue, red, green, silver, gold, crystal, ruby, sapphire, emerald, and all elite four battles like the ultimate pokemon world tournament
Yes, I am from 20 years in the future, where there are 10 regions and a new eleventh coming out, the Evern Region. The starters are a Fire?Psychic Sabertooth, a Grass/Dark Raptor, and a Water/Fighting Theropod, and the professor's name is Palm. Also, your Character is as customizable as the MiiW.
The kids from the present loves those Pokemon, and the older people likes the old, classic Pokemon, thats when past vs future collapses into a pokemon fight, and you know, thats just amazing
You see, it might be made for kids in mind, but there are many parts of it where strategy is involved, playing around with types and counters. And some of the harder battles need a planning, i can see even grow ups to just give up on if, mostly because of this. And there's even a kind of a hardcore version of every bigger fight in it, and those are pretty hard. Those make you think about how you chose your pokemones, what type they gonna be, their abilites etc.. So it's not just a kids game.
Dark type in Japan is actually Evil Type and Fighting is Hero type. Fighting and Dark type are meant to be opposites, hence why we won't get a Light type.
I can't choose between X or Y...also I am glad to see they are trying out some new things. I really hope the character customization is good. I'm glad they went for a more pokemon stadium battle style with this one.
I really hope they consider making a remake of Ruby and Sapphire. Those games are great and I hope they see that many people want remakes of them and make remakes to two masterful games in the Pokemon franchise.
I'm curious, they finish the half of the map 1/4 of pokemon full battle station and wifi battle station, and they can't finish it before October, ridiculous.
I can't freaking believe this. new pokemon, new dimension, new region, new BATTLE STYLES and now a NEW TYPE!!!!! I command all of you to get majorly and epically EXITED!!
I agree, I'm 22, and I'll buy the game and play it, because Pokémon have been a part of my life since I was about 7 years old, I play it because it has got a nice story, and intressting characters.
Fairy type actually works quite well. It is very much something I could see being in the original Gameboy games. It is much more acceptable than dark and steel types. Fairy type is like colorless magic. It is more of an extension of the Normal type.
Haven't watched the video yet, but looking at the comments breaks my heart. I remember when I was kid and Red/Blue came out. When me and my friends played to catch them all regardless of how they looked, when no one had an issue with Clefairy being a fairy, and when pokemon players regarded Mew, that pink cuddly looking thing, as an elusive cute little badass up there with Mewtwo. But now, this pokemon generation filled with insecurities and prejudices... can't help but wonder what went wrong.
We've already had 2 generations of Pokémon in the DS. It was about time Pokemon went next gen (especially considering the 3DS came just 5 months after Black and White in Japan).
Chances are that there'll be day and night. I mean 3rd gen was sort of a hiccup in the flow of things, with gen 4 smoothing things back again, and 5th adding the details to it like a car.
i'm buying both XD. but it's all up to you when considering it, you can wait for more info about them and decide which one you think is more awesome :) (or buy both)
Well it's a good thing I usually catch a bird pokemon first (it's kind of a tradition). I love battling as much trainers as I can find and I wouldn't want to miss out one some because I didn't meet the qualifications.
that's where you're Wrong you don't get how Mega Evolution works do you it's similar to Regular Evolution when a Pokemon Evolves the New Form they take is called their Evolved Form and they'll stay in their Evolved Form forever when it comes to Mega Evolution when a Pokemon Mega Evolves the New Form they take is called their Mega Evolved Form however Pokemon can only Mega Evolve during Battle and after the Battle Pokemon Revert back to their Pre Mega Evolved Form so in end i'm Right.
You know, as far as sky battles are concerned, part of me wonders if Pokemon that fly but are neither flying type nor have levitate will be excluded from them. I suppose this would just be the continuation of a quirk in the series since the very beginning, but I still say I'd rather see a Venomoth in a sky battle than a Dodrio.
Also, Nintendo games have anti-piracy measures that when they detect that you are playing on an emulator, it prevents progression. (and I imagine now it will be even harder to get past it)
To be fair, the focus of the generation is "beauty" and that's why its based in France, and Beautiful tends to somehow become linked to Girly. Maybe that's why you're getting that vibe?
Do you mean in the region itself or in the actual game data? In the actual game data, I don't think it needs to be said that they're all there. We have no evidence saying otherwise.
I can't wait for this game, everything looks great and promising! (:
Did you enjoy it 😅
in my family, the people who love and play pokemon range from 6 years old to 30. i'm 23. pokemon was our childhood and we still love. and are cuzins are loving it too :)
Gamefreak you want money?
Then MAKE RUBY AND SAPPHIRE REMAKE! For God sake

You predicted them
What about omega Ruby alpha Sapphire
Brave bird looked really cool, won't lie.
I still want to know what type fairy resists other than dragon.

"Kalos Region" in Greek, means "Beauty Region" !! Cant wait!!!

I am a classic Pokemon fan (loved Pokemon since I was a kid) AND a new Pokemon fan. Pokemon are still Pokemon, and I will forever love it!

I am extremely hyped for X and Y, now. October can't come quickly enough.
thank you for correcting me for some reason whenever i'm typing i tend to make mistakes like spelling a word wrong and i forget to type in certain words so i'll take any friendly advice to improve my typing skills and also thank you for agreeing with me.

same here ! I'm 20 going on 21 soon, I've been playing pokemon for 15 years now and I'm still a die heart fan ! lol

As soon as I saw the beginning I said in my head: "It's so comically mischievous!!!!!" I love Michael
Dark type in Japan is actually Evil Type and Fighting is Hero type. Fighting and Dark type are meant to be opposites, hence why we won't get a Light type.
i want more info on this "ride" feature...is it going to be a new HM or is it just something you can do with certain pokemon?
Can you guys upload the whole press conference to UA-cam?
I wish instead of them on seperate games they could combine them so there would be two games in one having both legendary and story.
There are other differences, like other version-exclusive Pokemon, items, and possibly areas.
It's like the Wi-Fi connectivity that was created in Generation IV expanded.
The sky battles look cool. Maybe there will be underwater battles too.
I think it should be on the main menu two tabs x version and y version. What do you think of that idea.
My point is that there is no crystal remake. And yes, I'm almost certain ruby and sapphire will be remade. Not an emerald. Probably after X and Y.
I can't choose between X or Y...also I am glad to see they are trying out some new things. I really hope the character customization is good. I'm glad they went for a more pokemon stadium battle style with this one.
maybe something like drought being an ability, idk we don't have enough info of how flying battles really work.
This is a 9 day old video, and UA-cam didn't send me a notification about it!
I really hope they consider making a remake of Ruby and Sapphire. Those games are great and I hope they see that many people want remakes of them and make remakes to two masterful games in the Pokemon franchise.
They don't have to tell me to get excited, I'm already so psyched if I was any more excited I'd put my foot through the floor.
yes i think it still exists if there are sky battles there might be under water battles
There are many things that take precedence over graphics yes, but saying visuals don't matter in a visual medium is a bit absurd.
There are some differences such as maybe 4-7 Pokemon differences and story is changed a bit.
the 6 regions that you mention are from the main games. the other 4 are from spin offs
I agree, I'm 22, and I'll buy the game and play it, because Pokémon have been a part of my life since I was about 7 years old, I play it because it has got a nice story, and intressting characters.
they already have those when you use the HM dive in RB&E.
Fairy type actually works quite well. It is very much something I could see being in the original Gameboy games. It is much more acceptable than dark and steel types. Fairy type is like colorless magic. It is more of an extension of the Normal type.
The new way of battling has gotten me stoked
They have HG and SS. So, what you are trying to say is that you think they will remake Ruby and Sapphire?
Dear Nintendo,
When will we see some new demos in the 3DS eShop??
The incluson of Fairy over dragon is probably due to Dragon overuse in online.
Also, a 18'th type kinda makes things more rounded, right?
Haven't watched the video yet, but looking at the comments breaks my heart.
I remember when I was kid and Red/Blue came out. When me and my friends played to catch them all regardless of how they looked, when no one had an issue with Clefairy being a fairy, and when pokemon players regarded Mew, that pink cuddly looking thing, as an elusive cute little badass up there with Mewtwo.

We've already had 2 generations of Pokémon in the DS. It was about time Pokemon went next gen (especially considering the 3DS came just 5 months after Black and White in Japan).
Is Pokemon Y and X different like Pokemon Black 2 and White 2 or are there more differences ?
Because the main paired versions are always on handhelds.
Sky battles with Pokemon that can either use Levitate or fly...this is going to be awesome. Eelektross is going to look weird...
It looks like there's a lot of character customization in this. That's pretty cool.
10 years later still a fun game
this was one of the first video's I ever saw that made me actually go "Woah" a few times
Chances are that there'll be day and night.
I mean 3rd gen was sort of a hiccup in the flow of things, with gen 4 smoothing things back again, and 5th adding the details to it like a car.
The green Pokemon at the left 2:14 , looks like a Pokemon from diamond and pearl
I like at the end she says, "...so get excited!" Um, I'm already there and beyond.
With every video I get more and more excited
When you have a president of The Pokémon Company who looks very much like Jackie Chan, it's no wonder they can continue so long being awesome.
You guys need to put in the option so you could use your mii as charector instead of a pokemon trainer it would work great with the Streetpass feature
crap i forgot to put the word Mega before Evolved Form and before Pre...
Well, the reason people do is because some changes have been made since gen 1.
i'm buying both XD. but it's all up to you when considering it, you can wait for more info about them and decide which one you think is more awesome :) (or buy both)
Well it's a good thing I usually catch a bird pokemon first (it's kind of a tradition). I love battling as much trainers as I can find and I wouldn't want to miss out one some because I didn't meet the qualifications.
i know right!? I pre-ordered it the day pre-order became available.
and the obvious geographical similarities, and the fact that in the VERY FIRST trailer the camera zooms in on the real world location of france.
Hear me out Nintendo... Please bring Pokemon Contests back!
that's where you're Wrong you don't get how Mega Evolution works do you it's similar to Regular Evolution when a Pokemon Evolves the New Form they take is called their Evolved Form and they'll stay in their Evolved Form forever when it comes to Mega Evolution when a Pokemon Mega Evolves the New Form they take is called their Mega Evolved Form however Pokemon can only Mega Evolve during Battle and after the Battle Pokemon Revert back to their Pre Mega Evolved Form so in end i'm Right.

I suppose this would just be the continuation of a quirk in the series since the very beginning, but I still say I'd rather see a Venomoth in a sky battle than a Dodrio.
wait, what if you run into a skybattle and you have like a Typhlosion and Lucario... jetpacks?
Also, Nintendo games have anti-piracy measures that when they detect that you are playing on an emulator, it prevents progression. (and I imagine now it will be even harder to get past it)
To be fair, the focus of the generation is "beauty" and that's why its based in France, and Beautiful tends to somehow become linked to Girly. Maybe that's why you're getting that vibe?
"Actually, we weren't supposed to say that it was based off of France" XD Hope he doesn't get in trouble for that.
I hope that there are enough sky battles, and they don't just end up like Black and White's triple battles.
Do you mean in the region itself or in the actual game data? In the actual game data, I don't think it needs to be said that they're all there. We have no evidence saying otherwise.
I really was hoping that in E3 they might show another version of Pokemon for Wii U...I miss Pokemon Stadium days :(
