It's propaganda value is what it's all about, there is little story here except that there exists somewhat startling footage of guerilla activity. Obviously if bombs are going off near IDF, somebody is doing that, so it's not much of a story. Couching it as noble resistance is an editorial pov, ie propaganda. Nothing wrong with that, just straightening you out some.

I watched We Were Once Soldiers Mel Gibson again the other day. There it it teach each man to do the man below and above job. Something taught in militaries still today.
I watched this particular ambush and thought this. It's beyond startling footage. It's well thought out tactics, funnelling a target to a kill zone.
If I was leading a force to take a city, I'd certainly want them to watch and learn from this. Avoid similar traps. Or if like Stalingrad, you're cut off and stuck, be able to emulate this.
I don't know about elsewhere. But in Australia similar as in a guerilla force is studied and taught at the Aust Defence Academy, Officers training. Namely Vietnam. Never underestimate those little guys with supply problems. They may not have a wholly modern army, but guerrilla fighters have taken out a super power time and time again. The Vietnamese, very tenacious fought for independence for 70 years Viet Mihn, VC, NVA different phases.
Britain fails to learn that lesson. They had at least 2 major cracks at Afganistan and lined up for third defeat with the Americans.
Kenya, Malaya, they were ( ethics morals aside) excellent wins. They are pretty much the only two victories against a native guerrilla army. Which shows its an all but impossible task.
Gaza, that's been going on decades. Rhodesia/Zimbabwe, Angola, ANC South Africa all also went for decades. But they won.
I'm suspecting the lesson there is, if you don't crack it in under 20 yrs, you'll fail. Palestine has been going since 48, I think the writing is on the wall here tbh. Purely based on the lessons of the past, Isreal is a spot of bother here to say the least.
