Wow those nasty waves must have been hard managing everything. I would be with bucket number 3 but you made it. And met up with your buddies too.
Good job on video can't wait to see that is in store next week 😀 😍 ❤

It was our most challenging crossing to date, glad you weren't with us for that one. It felt great finally dropping anchor and enjoying some good company. Thanks Erica

It's all about the highs being better and more often than those lows. Thanks.

Don't get bad blood, EVERYTHING is purpose and you learn to make decisions, even the most expert crashes into stones and sinks a tourist cruise ship with more than 1000 people on board (Captain Francesco Schettino) Costa Cruises.

I agree that everything happens for a reason but in the moment it is easy to lose focus of the big picture and start wondering why we are doing this to ourselves. Then you have a great experience and it starts over again.
Windy is our main go to for forecasting but this past season was a rough one for weather imo.

you crossed the bar at the wrong time in the tide... that's why it was so bad... tides mean everything

We did hit it at the inlet at the wrong time but the whole passage was difficult, not only the inlet.

Of course this coming September 21 the season changes and winter is approaching and the cold fronts begin to enter from Canada and they are fierce and the snowfall will be heavy. You are very high in latitude, in the Carolinas, I was going to recommend the ideal temperature for you and the boys in Guatemala, Rio Dulce, but you are very high. Greetings

Thanks those videos were filmed a few months back. We've sailed in the Great Lakes in Canada in October and November and it gets miserable. Further South is much better.

Wow, a dramatic struggle. Got to avoid the monster waves, but hard to do when the weather services are wrong? And those interminable leaks, what a riddle to solve. Hope you can get more of the Gravol. Comforting to see the familiar faces at the end.

We are always learning of course but it has been more challenging this past season. Our fair weather passages under sail have been few and far between. That said we are only getting stronger as a crew and family unit so hopefully upcoming seasons well be easier.

Get some hammocks for the kids get multi access gimbles for them and you won't have them getting sea sick

I feel like the movement of a hammock on the water gets even more rolly. But I've never tried it for Coral's sea sickness.

The multi access gamble is the key to not getting sick

Nothing will prompt you to fix leaks stow things better than a trip offshore. Your lucky to not be cleaning your fuel tanks

Very true. I tend to be under prepared and then to be optimistic about sea states where as Alex is more realistic.
