The guy with the model of the ship at 22:53 was my grandad, the model is currently sat in my living room on display ❤ it feels good to hear his voice since he passed away 18 years ago ❤ the whole family have been looking for this episode for years ❤

I wish more people were. Because of the lack of Patreons, I will stop posting these by the end of the month.

I'm really enjoying these! I'm from the States, so I grew up on the American version of Antiques Roadshow. When I discovered this (British? I never know how to refer to all the islands as obviously the Republic of Ireland quite firmly sets itself aside... Please forgive me) version, I was really excited to see more antiques from before about 1850, because here in the States, antiques don't really get much older than that. So you can imagine my surprise that most of the antiques on this version don't seem to surpass the age range of their American counterparts. But don't get me wrong! I'm still quite happy to have discovered this, and I just know I'm going to watch them all! Thank you!!!

Oh there's so many episodes of the Antique Roadshow as its been going for so long in Britain, you'll find stuff going back 1000's of years in episodes stretching back to 1979...even though the American version didn't come for another 18 years later, I do like watching the American version as well....

why all the moaning and groaning by Brits that they got out from under the pope and his co-horts from taxing the British ppl - from paying into the roman coffers and being ruled by him. I'd think that was a good thing.
