Dude there is only one place in the world where you just KNOW you’re at least hooking up. I miss Alaska and its waters so desperately bad. I’m terribly disabled mentally, (ptsd) and although I’m in southern Oregon it’s a very far 2nd to this type of fishing. I’d do anything short of steal to get back up there before I die.😅

Well played, just got a lamiglas 10/11 14 6 rod with old leeda magum 200, for 175, with over 70 flies . Hope to get into a slob like that

What’s the best time to go there? Also what’s ur thoughts on Skagit fly fishing vs Spey?
Its pretty much a year round fishery there so any time fall spring summer is great there. Skagit is a type of spey fly line. You have 3 differenttypes of lines: skagit, Scandi
And short mid + long belly lines all of which serve a purpose
Almost every time i get a line foul up get a hit

@@danthefisher alright thanks. You should make a trip a lil north to Alaska. I grew up there fishing and then have been back and forth from Florida to Ak. Great fishing and we’re having a HUGE Red salmon run this July! Keep up the great work my friend🤙
