Just listened to Brandon present the lights in the "User Guide" video. Bravo guys, it looks like you've done everything with these units! Amazing, the detail and customization in such a small fixture.
Excellent light ladies and gentlemen, so many small attention to details that make the usability second to none! Can't wait to see what you come up with next.
Thanks for a new product Few questions i have ) 1. Is there a convertor that helps to use new softbox on a bones mount other lights from your company? 100d,200d,100x,200x, 120d 300 d ? 2. what kind of stands are recommended for these lights ? and what stands are used for optical beam extension? You use quiet a heavy stands even with small softbox.... doesn't it spoil the effect of their mobility? 3. is there a longer cord that can go from battery to light? for example not to pull light down to change battery while it is fixed up above on some crane What is the longest cord for this light ? 4?5?6 meters? is it available? 4. will you produce your famous stand clamp with a v-mount to choose where to fix the battery pack? especially the battery plate for the NPF looks a bit dangerous for the batteries... I'm afraid that I can plug them incorrectly or half a way o hit the stand that can damage batteries Maybe there is a way to fix it more... like a rubber strap 5. Does aputure mini mount mach any other standard size of accessories ? barn doors and so on ? DEDO ?
1. The LS 60 Softbox does not fit on the Bowens Mount lights. But the LS 60 can take Bowens Mount Softboxes 2. You can use really lightweight stands with the light and the softbox, but when you use the Spotlight Mini Zoom we'd suggest something a little beefier, or in between. 3. There is not a longer cord at the moment, but thanks for the feedback. We've already been looking into it. 4-6 meters may be a little long. The main hiccup is the voltage line loss with the cable gauge and length. 4. The Lightning Clamp that is sold separately does come with a male V-Mount QR plate.
Wow amazing, I’ve been wanting some dedolights for a while and this basically does most everything they do for a way more affordable price (and more) The only thing I feel it’s missing, which is of huge importance that dedo does, is the parallel beam intensifier which increases output by 200-300% depending on the light and intensifier used. That would be such a huge addition. Would really like to see an actual real life test of it with dedolights rather than just spec sheet too. But wow really amazing products Aputure keeps coming up with
I love aputure and new products of them but here in europe (Germany) i have to wait 5 weeks of a lot of products and the dealers doesn't become any direct answers when it is available it is a pitty to see which products coming but it isn’t available by release :/ please produce more on stock
I’m confused by the use case for these. Can I use them easily for commercial videos, interviews, etc. I can’t decide between this and a 120d mii. This seems like such a deal.
Been chomping at the bit for some small, powerful, waterproof lights for outdoor environments.. When the 600d came out first, I had a fist full of cash, and was like, "Aputure, please, take my money!" - Glad to see these just hit - and while Ted was talking, I placed an order for several! Can't wait to create with them!
Hi guys! Couple of quick questions before I step into my next meeting: Are y’all working on Sidus mesh control to traditional DMX/ArtNet/Scan network interface adapter? 12v power extension for those times I need to remote rig the PSU and keep minimal profile at the lamp head? I’ll check back in about an hour! Thanks -Theo
I'm a record producer with many platinum's and more, point is i worked on some major and minor films along the way and now I'm doing my own film all by me with a small crew but i wrote, i'm producing, directing, DP and one of the stars all good right - wrong. how in H__L do you shoot in the day with good light and make it look like night later??? Or is there no choice and you have to shoot at night with associated lights? I think this question applies to many new film makers jumping in fresh with two feet.
Ordered 2 ls 60x’s and it says they will be here by the end of July. Is there a problem with manufacturing? I cant seem to find them in stock anywhere? Thanks!
Would the spotlight mini (when it comes out), allow me to achieve a clean beam of around 6%, so that I could get that same narrow light I would with a DLED7? Clean as in I won't see the blades and have a perfectly round circle.
Hey Ted! Thanks for showing this new amazing product! One question though, just to be sure: At 44:42 you claim that the 60d & 60x already have a fresnel lens built in. As far as I could see it from the shown images this fixture has no fresnel lens design (like the ARRI 300W or 650W have) but a special plano-convex lens (just like the classic Dedo Light). Do you hide a fresnel behind that lens or was it just a little misleading in your explanation? That would be great to know! Daniel
It only has a convex aspheric lens. He called it a fresnel because it works in a very similar way. But at the end of the day, yes it is a different optical design.
@@cagf2013 Yes Chris is right, it's not a Fresnel lens, but rather aspherical condenser optics. Just a verbal slipup since it handles similarly to the Fresnel
If the light is on and plugged into a power strip, and you cut the power via the power strip and then re-enable the power, do you have to press the button on the light again to turn it back on?
@Aputure Guy please make an adapter for strobe light attachment. The photographer would be really heapy too. Godox SA-17 does not really work. (It requires a bit more space for modeling light and strobe bulb)
Still can't get the 100D or 200X or 600D anywhere 🧐 can you guys please take a page out of apples playbook and present products that are ready to ship?
Only if i had the money I'd buy all the lights from aputure, lights from aputure(for example the amaran series) costs 100 to 150$ more in India. Aputure if you're listening do send me some of these😭😭😭😭😭😭
Nice addition to the family A-Team! Keep those tungsten colored lights coming! Love that SSI!
PS - Is that you talking, DEITY Steve? Nice work.
Deity is a daughter company of aputure so it's save to assume :)
Yes! It's the one and only DEITY STEVE!

This awesome fixture just blew me away! Will there be sets available like The Travel kit of the Mini 20?
@Aputure - I thought you guys had forgotten about this one... Now just hoping I can afford it.
We would never!
Thanks for a new product

The AMARAN SPOTLIGHT SE would fit and work well in LS 60d using the bowens adapter?

works well with lighdome II?
Have you guys ever tried to make new carrying case for Amaren 100d/200d? Please let me know
Is 60x powerful enough to be used with light dome II? Or is this softbox an overkill for it?

I was waiting on this!!!! Perfect for on the go night missions filming skateboarding
Can't wait to see!
Just out of curiosity, would this light be powerful enough, attached with a light dome II to be used as a run and gun key light?
My question as well!!
Light dome ii is kind of big for rinsed gun, no? I’m thinking these are not strong key lights.
What are the best light modifiers for these lights?
Would the spotlight mini (when it comes out), allow me to achieve a clean beam of around 6%, so that I could get that same narrow light I would with a DLED7? Clean as in I won't see the blades and have a perfectly round circle.
60X would be nice to match my 300X's🤩🤩 I'm from Quebec, Canada and I have a lot of your products. I would like to review in french the 60X so bad!
Can you show the storage box and how small the softbox collapses? I might want to bring this with my cargo bike.
This is incredible! Thanks Ted and the entire A-Team!
Thank you! :)
Is the 60d brighter than the 200d
wow amazing new product
Excited to get this light to join the roster
So I need different remote controls for my 120d mk2 and tri8 s if I want to add a 60d ? Or does 60d/x support the previous remote controls?
When is the 300X shipping? I have waited for it a month now
I all ready have it like months
Can anyone tell something about the price of the "Spotlight Mini Zoom" and or the release date?

Can we get a RGB cob light line?
wow the 60w bicolor light is even more expensive than the 200W Amaran verion?
Yes, it's weather-resistant, and has an all metal build, focusing lens, and has battery power options, so it does come with a higher price tag
Aourture...you just crush it!
Can we get a lightning clamp with a v-mount adapter to click onto the clamp?
The Lightning Clamp that you can purchase online comes with a V-Mount QR plate plate for the 120d II, so it would work, if we're on the same page.

Is there any adapter so you can mount a spotlight mini zoom to Bowens mount ( I know about the big spotlight )
There is adapter to bowens mount
@@Leo_Dewa Where do you find that? I want to put a 300d to this spotlight mini
@@jontedanielsson1279 nvm, theres original spotlight for that matters
The Spotlight Mini Zoom is designed specifically for the optics of the LS 60d and 60x, so it would not work with bowens mount lights.
