The new charging port plate also contains the jack for the earphones? If yes, that means I can use this simple and excellent method to change the jack? (my jack entrance is a bit loose so the sound gets really bad)

You can try to update the phone first, then you can try to reset the phone to factory settings. If is still happening it is most likely with the charging board and logic board. That needs good inspection by a technician
