Facts! My first Black mentor was 10 years older than I am at 19 years old, and said that he would help me get into the insurance industry. After I got my P&C license, he bailed out on me and became anti-capitalist and started talking all types of nonsense about how making money and owning businesses was anti-Black. My 2nd Black mentor was 20 years older than I am. Lied about his financial situation and claimed to be the man of the house. Facts! My first Black mentor was 10 years older than I am at 19 years old, and said that he would help me get into the insurance industry. After I got my P&C license, he bailed out on me and became anti-capitalist and started talking all types of nonsense about how making money and owning businesses was anti-Black. My 2nd Black mentor was 20 years older than I am. Lied about his financial situation and claimed to be the man of the house. His wife ordered him to come clean, but he took the coward way out by deleting himself after overdosing on painkillers. I'm now 29 years old and have ZERO faith in most older Black folks.
