Very good message about truth of Jews, very important at this time. But, if God considered Ishmael illegitimate then did he consider the sons of the handmaids of Leah and Sarah illegitimate? That would make four of the sons of Jacob/israel illegitimate, and Pharez and Zerah, the prince of the scarlet thread illegitimate, and their sons who were the kings of Israel and Europe (Zerah) illegitimate?
Thanks for watching. I believe the fault with Ishmael was twofold, I feel sure Hagar, who was called an Egyptian, was kindred with Abraham like Sarah was, so the son would not be genetically pure, but the primary issue is that God had promised him that Sarah would have a son, but also in their impatience, they attempted to fulfill God's promise with their own ideas. I do not believe Ishmael was genetically bad necessarily, because God did indeed bless him and his family, but he was also, not the appointed son through whom God Himself declared the blessing was to come. As far as the handmaids of Jacobs wives, they were most likely of the same genetic stock as the wives, or at least, not members of a forbidden lineage. I hope this makes sense.
Praise the Lord for your comment shlomo. I know why you are here. 😉 The old professor said there are NO stupid questions, only stupid answers. Your comment has made the need for this message abundantly clear, and brought up a near perfect illustration. Paul is the perfect example. We can see a few variations in the description of a Jew by examining who the Apostle Paul was, according to Scripture. Look at what we know about Paul (Saul of Tarsus). 1: Was Paul genetically a "Jew"? (Born of the tribe of Judah) NO!! Did Paul claim to be a "Jew"? NO! Romans 11:1 I say then, God has not rejected His people, has He? May it never be! For I too am an Israelite, a descendant of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. Philippians 3:5 circumcised the eighth day, of the nation of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews; as to the Law, a Pharisee; Paul said he was an Israelite, a Hebrew, a Benjamite, and a Pharisee...but NOT a Jew. Was he a Jew by residence? NO! He was born in Tarsus, which is in Turkey, NOT the land of Judah, therefore, he was not a Jew by residence. In fact, he claimed to be a Roman citizen. Acts 22:25 But when they stretched him out with thongs, Paul said to the centurion who was standing by, “Is it lawful for you to scourge a man who is a Roman and uncondemned?” 26 When the centurion heard this, he went to the commander and told him, saying, “What are you about to do? For this man is a Roman.” 27 The commander came and said to him, “Tell me, are you a Roman?” And he said, “Yes.” 28 The commander answered, “I acquired this citizenship with a large sum of money.” And Paul said, “But I was actually born a citizen.” The only way he could be considered a "Jew" is that the tribe of Benjamin was indeed part of the kingdom of Judah, and he did follow the religion of the Jews (Talmudic Judaism) UNTIL he repented and began to follow Jesus Christ, and repudiated the "Jewish" religion. Maybe we should do a lesson just on this information?? Thank you for highlighting this great example! I encourage everyone to read their Bible and believe the words that are written on the pages! Amen!
@@KingdomTruthSeeker Oh thanks dear brother I did go off half cocked and I didn't listen to your talk I just reacted to that question "What is a biblical jew?" Which forgive me, despite the professor still sounds like an utterly silly question to head up a talk of some value and an issue of great importance. So let me ameliorate, The Lord Jesus is a Jew and He is in the Bible. Also He was not a Christian but gave birth to them through the waters of His baptism. Also if you look closely at the text when St Paul speaks of being a Pharisee he speaks in the present tense. For Paul along with all the Orthodox churches, Christ and His Way was not something other than the Law and Prophets but their fulfilment. He didn't come to create something new called Christianity but to fulfil the promises He gave to the Patriarchs. Not for Israel's sake but for His own Names sake. So that though everyman be found a liar God Shall be found Faithfull. Nevertheless brother KingdomTruthSeeker I honour your obvious sincerity, love, and dedicated work. And thankyou for your gracious response to my half cocked smart arsery earlier on. May all who call upon the Lord with sincere heart be found blameless on that day.
You are mostly correct. Yes, Jesus was an Israelite, born of the House of David, from the tribe of Judah. Jesus came to establish the new covenant with the House of Israel AND the House of Judah. (Please note, all of these people were/are NOT "Jews"). Jeremiah 31 and Hebrews 8, tell of the covenant. Jesus announced it in Luke 22:20 And in the same way He took the cup after they had eaten, saying, “This cup which is poured out for you is the new covenant in My blood. With regard to "Jews", who do you suppose Jesus was speaking of in these verses? Revelation 2:9 ‘I know your tribulation and your poverty (but you are rich), and the blasphemy by those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan. Revelation 3:9 Behold, I fnwill cause those of the synagogue of Satan, who say that they are Jews and are not, but lie-I will make them come and bow down fnat your feet, and make them know that I have loved you. Could Jesus be talking to these "Jews" called Pharisees? John 8:42 Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love Me, for I proceeded forth and have come from God, for I have not even come on My own initiative, but He sent Me. 43 “Why do you not understand what I am saying? It is because you cannot hear My word. 44 “You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks fna lie, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies. With respect to Paul, he was most definitely educated and trained as a Pharisee, but he ceased to be a practicing Pharisee after his conversion, so he was no longer a "Jew" by religion. He had to repent of following "Judaism", because that religion persecuted and killed Jesus and his followers. The "Jews" were so angry because of his "betrayal" of their "religion" that they attempted to kill him by stoning him. Acts 14:19 But Jews came from Antioch and Iconium, and having won over the crowds, they stoned Paul and dragged him out of the city, supposing him to be dead. You can also read Acts 25 and 26 to determine if Paul was still considered a Pharisee. I pray that someday we can all learn to read our Bibles and just believe the words that are written in them.
Excellent message!
Thanks for watching
Got to love a Strong's Concordance. It really defines what a Jew is, both in the Hebrew and the Greek.
Thanks for watching

Saint Paul was a biblical Jew. He was a Jew and he was in the Bible. STUPID STUPID question
