Every one has an opinion. I have the 13e model. Once you play this you appreciate how easy this is to play. Can’t we enjoy our guitars without all the negative comments. I also enjoy my Taylor too. Enjoy yours without all the smug commentary
I got two of them, the best guitar made in the last 10 years. Was waiting for you guys to make a video about it. Cooper’s playing always makes a great guitar shine.
Hey guys...first time to your channel. I found out about you because you guys had a Yamaha Revstar Standard when nobody else seemed to have one. I have been on a waiting list for awhile now. Its a long story but I ended up on your store website and there it was. Have now been on stage with it for a month or so and loving every minute of it. Thanks. Have become a subscriber. Look forward to the content.
I own the original SC-13e. It’s a fun guitar to gig. Going full bore Custom Shop for $8K was a bold move. I can guarantee it’s not five times better than the MIM version. Oooof
Cooper jams as always , amazing plays , amazing guitar ... I was really excited the first time SC surfaced and loving the direction it has taken and just mind blowing to see this model solid and handcrafted this well ... the aesthetics also my a personal fave paired with rosewood ...definitely an eye catcher right there ...bring on SC 2023 !!!
I get excited when I see a new review MOSTLY because of Coopers beautiful playing. He is an exceptional player. He has a way of coaxing the Spirit out of a guitar! Most of us can’t afford to buy some of the instruments that you review. Watching Cooper makes it a little easier.
Wow! Martin got the CSSC-2022 to you in time to celebrate the end of 2022! Cartridge case head fret markers? And a case to match Doc's Porsche? (It got so cold his Audi's air suspension went completely flat so we figure it's a lowrider until spring.) Happy New Year! (Hauoli Makahiki Hou! from tropical north Idaho, where it's warmer in winter than the high desert south...) 🍾
Sounds great! I would like to see an L.R.Baggs Anthem in there and solid Mahogany body with a nice Western Red Cedar top. I think the fretboard bling is to much. The rest looks nice though. Get it in production and lower the price by about half and put me on the wait list now!
I found an expensive SC model at a local music store a week ago and tried it out as I hadn’t seen it before. I was surprised Martin would make something like this. It was ok. It sounded nice and all but didn’t leave that much of an impression on me. The thin body made it sound thin and left me wanting more. If there were a different name on the headstock, it wouldn’t be surprising. I don’t think the expensive adornments here do much more than make an ok guitar look prettier.
doesn't sound thin in this video lol. its a very surprising sound coming out of this. b ut even the standard laminate koa version is not bad. sounds exceptional honestly.
This doesn’t sound like any other Martin I’ve ever heard. Quite unique, hard to think what guitars is compares to… some boutique builder. Bourgeois or Huss & Dalton?
From ridiculous to sublime. Now how about something for us mere mortals? I understand COVID and supply chain and all that but seriously Martin, Git-er-done! I want that guitar in mahogany although rosewood will do in a pinch. (I just read the other comments and see I'm not the only one with a hankerin' for an SC-18)
I wonder if the custom shop would do one of these made to order. Get rid of all the bling and build it 18 series in style. hopefully maybe land in the 4.5-5k range.
All we wanted was a version made in the US with solid wood back and sides, at an affordable price. What's the point of a custom shop version if the vast majority of guitarists can't afford it?
My guess, trying to stir up or gauge interest before going to all the expense and effort of creating forms and jigs for full production. Since it is a whole new line of guitars, it would likely also require hiring and training and either expanding manufacturing facilities or discontinuing another line to make room. Scary thing to do when the economy can't decide which way to go. I imagine a huge cross section of Martin purchasers are traditionalists who are resistant to change while this guitar would represent a monster innovation for any guitar company. Especially Martin whose main claim to fame has been guitars that are built and sound like vintage prewar guitars. I believe they are still testing the waters. I sure hope they find a way to make it happen.
Nice guitar and it sounds good too. Instead of all the bling, they should dress it down to make it more affordable. Pearl and abalone don't make it sound better.
Martin only listens to Doctors and Lawyers with a lot of money. My Wife does not like Cooper. He has better hair than she does :D. Best Regards and Best Wishes for 2023!
Went to the web site and it's not listed. You said go to your web site to see it and I have been all over your site. I was trying to get an idea of the pricing. Sweetwater has it on their site. You need to get on the stick guys.
It looks pretty ugly, bolt on neck not made south of the border, I like north of the border, my Seagull Artist Mosaic Peppino yeah that's what I'm talking about ol' school not diggin it, the new martin

I love to see the development of this channel.

Martin is the best guitar on the world
That is a very beautiful guitar. Not anything that I can afford but a delight to see and listen to Cooper play so well. Happy New Year!

YES!
Wow… great playing Coop.
Very nice sounding guitar. Thanks for letting us see and hear this beauty. Another great demo, Cooper!
I want that headstock and fret board dots on my dread. Beautiful.
Love this guitar! Cooper is a monster - makes me either want to practice more... or just take up the kazoo.
Cooper is such a different type player. I’m more impressed with his playing than the guitar it self.

Based on all the videos I have seen/heard, that guitar sounded as good as any. Beautiful playing Cooper.
So nice really like see Martin doing this.

The body shape cutaway is reminicent of the Baldwin classics( JerryReed playe one) that didn't hurt his picking any at all !!!!
In the next video, could you take the top off so we can see the bracing? 😁 When are the sc-18s coming?
Gorgeous sound from a gorgeous guitar.
15 series for this please...

Cooper, I guess this arrived after your Top 5 video... otherwise it may have made the list or honorable mention? It's beautiful and sounds fantastic!!
Quite different sound from the SC I tried, and possibly a different feel playing it. Thanks for letting us see it (and it's GONE, but not forgotten).
This is nice but when’s the pod dropping again? Need that fire ASAP
I have an sc10e I really love so I looked this up and damn that's expensive. There's a lot of really good stuff at that price range.
A beautiful guitar. I might buy one, if I ever have 8 grand just lying about, and don't know what to do with it... 😏😏😏
This doesn’t sound like any other Martin I’ve ever heard. Quite unique, hard to think what guitars is compares to… some boutique builder. Bourgeois or Huss & Dalton?
wow gorgeous guitar. would love to see comparison to standard version.
I love Martin guitars, beautiful one you guys have here and as usual Cooper's playing certainly accents it with perfection.
Happy New Year guys :)
If an all-solid mahogany 15 series bare bones streetmaster comes out, I am in 100%
Great video guys. Happy New Year
A very nice chimey sounding guitar.
Great video guys, you guys do a great job!

Yes. This is what I was hoping would become of this model. Maybe they will come out with a mahogany model.
I played this instrument it is SUPER LOUD.
Must already be sold. Not on their website and this video just came out. Not fair to their UA-cam viewers who would have wanted to buy this guitar!
What is the name of the song Cooper played for the demo at 7:13? Is it an original composition/arrangement?
What will happen to the neck inlay when you do re fretting?
Martin is keeping up with the times by creating a Taylor guitar.
Except that there isn’t a Taylor even remotely like the SC series.
🙂👍
😂 true
Martin didn’t make the finish like a bowling alley so not a Taylor. The finish is all Martin.
Except this sounds amazing.
I wonder if the custom shop would do one of these made to order. Get rid of all the bling and build it 18 series in style. hopefully maybe land in the 4.5-5k range.
Huh, x-brace on the back? First time I saw that.
this is so great guitar to wonderful and beautiful.I lloved it
Very nice. But it’s not a real Martin. lol j/k Semper Fi. Beautifully played Coop.
Can it Come in lefthanded version?
Oh he'll that case is just out of this world. Spock made that case...too funny

what does SC means and how it is different from standard build? Thanks.
Nice guitar and it sounds good too.
Instead of all the bling, they should dress it down to make it more affordable. Pearl and abalone don't make it sound better.
Is this a one of a kind ?
John Mayer had one like a year ago
is the Price Right $7,999.99 for real??? they aren't planning Selling too many I Guess???
It’s a Martin Custom Shop they’ll sell everyone they make, especially since it is only being produced in 2022.
does the long haired guy give guitar lessons? lol wow. great playing.
YOU TO GUYS ARE GREAT ! YOU ALL ARE VERY FAIR TO ALL GUITAR MAKING !
Nice? Perhaps,
I personally cannot stand cutaway guitars and with Martin on the headstock, that’s a deal breaker.
I prefer the shape of the GPC-16E. It's Nazareth-made, solid and sounds beautiful, too. That one looks kinda odd.
Could you please make a comparison review between yamaha apx600 and fender fa 345ce
Which one is better ?!
Martin only listens to Doctors and Lawyers with a lot of money. My Wife does not like Cooper. He has better hair than she does :D. Best Regards and Best Wishes for 2023!
$7,999

It is not visible our site because it sold already, we apologize.
They already sold it.
We all appreciate your opinion, Karen.

I want a Martin to look and sound like a Martin. Not a fan of this thing. I get it though
Nice, but way out of my price range
It looks pretty ugly, bolt on neck not made south of the border, I like north of the border, my Seagull Artist Mosaic Peppino yeah that's what I'm talking about ol' school not diggin it, the new martin
I predict a flop here. Personally, I hated it before I even seen the case. But then the case came out and I said hell no!
I do not like the body shape. This is probably the ONLY guitar Martin makes that I don't like.
Bolt on neck and offset body sounds like hot garbage to me.
