    Just a note. You should keep your water filter attached to your coach, not the water faucet. Your fresh water hose, will always have old water in it, which can potentially cause mold / bacteria. If you attach your water filter to the faucet, you are cleaning the water and pushing it through your not perfectly clean hose. Push the water through your not perfectly clean hose, and then filter it before it enters your rig, even if filling up your on board water.

    Old man advice for helping with the dismounting issue. I usually stop, put into reverse for about 1 or 2 inches. Releases the forward pull on the ball. Allows for easy dismount from truck hitch. Still love our 2019 Outdoors RV and your channel.

    Ohh I like that little level you have sitting on the tongue! Is that pretty accurate or just get's you close enough to stop the truck? That route through to New Mexico is a bit rough, even worse on the way back to AZ. We went to White Sands and Carlsbad Caverns a week ago. We stayed at Brantley Lake park close to Carlsbad and then a KOA close to White Sands. I hear you about using the Berkey still. We just got one of the ClearSource 3 stage filters and mounted it in the passthrough so there's a short hose coming out the bottom that we hook into water source. That way I don't have to bring the filter inside when we take trips during the day, I feel like it's too expensive to leave out.

    Those wood blocks are to protect the asphalt from direct contact with jacks and stabilizers not so much for leveling. If you were to put your front Jack down and leave it with nothing under it it would sink into the asphalt. Hello! We have a question for you two: are you traveling with your fresh water tank full? Or close to full maybe? We are going on the road for 5 months on Monday! We have been following your adventures, the best to us, and we own one ORV TT… thanks!

    • @MikeFree22
      @MikeFree22 Рік тому +1

      We’re full timing right now also on a 5 month trip. We have been staying completely off grid and have found that anytime you can top off fresh water or dump tanks (unless mostly empty) it’s wise to do so. We also carry close to a second fresh tank worth of water in blue jugs and two of the 21 gal portable waste tanks. We carry the smaller 21 gal waste tanks because they are super heavy when full and the larger ones are near impossible to load if you’re off grid and have to take them to a dump station. Finally…yes we travel with a full fresh tank unless we’re positive we can get water where we are headed.

I carry two-5 g containers in the pickup bed one with water for "just in case". If we don't find water we set up camp empty the cans in the tank. As we go out sight seeing will fill them and empty into the tt tank. every couple of days. We empty the gray & black tanks at every opportunity.

    I would never run a fuel tank or at least try to never run my fuel tank below a quarter of a tank. Because modern fuel pumps are submerged in the fuel and they use it to keep them cool. Thanks for the video.

    We noticed that we have truck and trailer set up similar to yours. We have a Lance 2285(7,000 Gross) which is 27' long hitch to bumper, an Anderson hitch and a 2021 F250 Diesel. The difference is that we have a short box Supercab so our wheelbase is shorter than yours. We used to tow with an F150 without any of the special towing or GVW packages. We could get sway with the F150. We love our F250 except that the F250 doesn't have rack and pinion steering like the F150. As a result the steering is less precise and requires me to pay very close attention to the road. How satisfied are you with the tracking of your set up? I believe that I may have given up some handling by having a shorter wheelbase truck. I'm toying with a Propride 3P hitch. Our truck is 2 years old and we have 60,000 miles (mostly towing) so we have spent a lot of time driving. We really like your channel!

    Can you tell us what you pay Progressive for just the RV insurance. I was quoted $680 per year for a custom cargo trailer conversion with an actual cash value of $55K. Seems high to me. Thanks, Earl

      Ahhhh bummer to hear you got a crack too! Does FL have free glass replacement? One good thing about MN insurance is the good glass coverage. Yeah, Chris really tried hard to get the best MPG's in the van( it was probably more.like 18-20🤣.....slow and steady I guess...🤣

    • @IreneIronTravels

      Our insurance covers the rock for no cost. But some insurance companies might make you pay a deductible. $100-$500 or so. $24cad is really good! 👍
