I think the reason why “For the Birds” is mentioned on the back of the “Finding Nemo” tape (and possibly on the DVD and BluRay packaging as well) is because the “For the Birds” logo appeared in one of the scenes in “Finding Nemo” as a PIXAR easter egg. It was seen as a nameplate for one of the boats at the Sydney Harbor (or harbour in other countries) in one or more camera shots.
