Mac is such a classy guy. The fact that he was able to talk about giving up a trick because he knew someone else could do it better is the height of professional courtesy and humility.
@@EruditeMagic my brother was supposed to see Copperfield a few weeks back but he had canceled. He and his wife went to go see Mac instead and they said it was the funniest show they had ever seen.
@@EruditeMagic hey man I just want to say as somebody who's getting into mentalism in his 40s thank you for creating your channel! Where can I see one of your shows live or where can I see it online?
Funny that when the camera is on Mac, the Cloak of Invisibility is in the background. When it’s on you, Jeff, the toilet paper is the background. Thanks to this interview, I just sold a signed copy of Mac’s Tricks With Your Head book, as well as the Rune Klan book. Great interview, Jeff.
I'd like to include more interviews on the channel as well. It will depend on my schedule and coordinating with the interviewees. Thanks for letting me know you like the content 👌
Going to be awesome. I was looking at a few MAGIC magazines from 1995 today and reading MAC's comments on classics such as Books of Wonder. Never afraid to praise good works and also criticism. Read the Steel and Silver video review: "With the exception of one trick, 'ring thing' (a rather useless variation of the old taking off your thumb bit)....
Real question here. On my computer, Andre Combrinck's comment says "4 days ago" but the video apparently only premiered yesterday (Nov 14th). How do you make a comment for a video that isn't released yet? Is Andre a time traveler?
@@jasonengland485 good question, but because it premiered, the thumbnail and video were out there available to comment, but you can't watch the video until the go-live time (8:30 AM EST Sunday AM). If you turn on notifications on a video premiering, you'll be alerted at go-live
Enjoyed the Mac King interview this morning. I actually own 2 of the books that Mac King mentioned: Learn Magic and Cyclopedia of Magic. As a matter of fact I found the exact pages Mac referred to about the right and wrong ways to pass a coin from hand to hand. If you provide me an email I'll be happy to send pics.
Thanks, David! My email is published on my homepage under the "about" tab. I'm reluctant to post it here because the bots will grab it and spam it. Please email me at your convenience - I look forward to seeing it!
Glad to know I am in such esteemed company. In my collection, I have most of the recommended "beginner" books (Tarbell, Wilson, Lorayne, AMH etc). Learn Magic was the first and still my favourite.
Hey I am learning mentalism I am in need of a mentor so please can you be my mentor I don't have much to ask but some simple question like book recommendations, good ways to practice etc.

I perform in the Cleveland, OH area, but typically only for private parties. If I put on a Livestream, you can be sure I'll post here 👍

Cool interview, I'm gonna have a tough time choosing who to watch when I get back to Vegas... King? Lim? Banachek? Franco? P and T?...
Mac is hands down the best value!
@@EruditeMagic the mentalist, the hypnotist too lol

Thanks for sharing, Andre! I never subscribed to Magic Magazine, so I had no idea that Mac used to review there 🤯

Isn’t that the Cloak of Invisibility in the back ground?
💯 - that was one of my favorite parts of the scenery shot when I saw the recorded footage 😁
Mac looks like Ed Marlo😉
