Indhu Rathna ,if mami replies take that,since I have been doing varalakshmi nonbu for more than 25 years and got appreciation from others,i wish to share this Raw rice 1 cup Urad dhal 1/2 cup Soak rice for 2 hrs drain completely and grind to rava like powder. Add lukewarm water to rice and make into paste,close well not to let dry. Grind urad to fluffy consistency.If using mixie grind and beat it with ladle for 3 min in one direction.then add with rice and add salt and beat again for soft idli.ferment overnight.
