- I wasn't 100% happy with how my craft hoard traveler's notebook turned out, so I decided to revisit this project and make a better version.

I actually really like the streaking on the cover, it adds to that home made look. Its really beautiful!
I personally like the streaks. It gives it more character ☺️
I think the streaks is what makes this cover. I love it..
It's never perfect, however, practice will get you closer and closer each time. Thank for the video! Love your hair!
This is so helpful. I will make a gift for my sister! Thanks
Just randomly found this video and can I just thank you. I've been wanting to make my own but didn't want to but all the fancy tools! Absolutely great tutorial - thank you
That's beautiful! The spine elastic should be one piece and the closure elastic another. This is how the original is. Your leather colour is a lovely choice!
I think the streaks gives it your personal touch. I like it!
First of all, thank you for this video its awesome. To prevent the loop from sliding back through, tie a knot on the inside. Usually its 2 separate elastics for that reason in some notebooks. However, you could do what you did by putting it over the bead (good idea). The bead seen on some of the notebooks you were mentioning is a fastener for the knot/elastic. 🙂 Even though you may not be completely satisfied with it, this is beautifully done.
Very, very nice! I like your shortcuts like making your own burnished, etc. I want to make one and now I think I can without breaking the bank!!
Thank you!! I hope yours turns out well!! :D
@chezlin you really inspire me with your work and I get a great motivation after watching your videos to make things. I am in the age of deciding what to do ahead and I can see myself leaning towards designing. It would be a great help if you shared with me what kind of courses you completed. Thank you very much for being an inspiration to mani such like me.
The streaks are pretty nice I like them!
I love the owl bead
Finally I can use the learner I have been Hording for years! I thought about making bags from it but never did!
I really like the streaks! It makes it look better! I want to make something like this now!
I actually liked the streaks as well. It makes it more unique than of it was one boring, solid color :) Thanks for the tutorial!
I really like note books and journals, but i can't finish no one. Always make a new before finish the other. 😧
Love your videos. Kisses from Brasil.
Brunna Maya Same... I always end up using a diy journal for only a month and then moving to another journal...
Excellent job! Love the streaking.. TFS!
You did such a great job. 👍🏾👍🏾🤗
Thank you! 🤗
personally i love the streaking on the cover. it has a nice wood finish look to it and makes it more earthy ish
It looks great. I like the streaks.
I really like how it turned out.
I want to make one of these as a sketchbook cover. So that I can pick the paper and make the booklets myself, and when they are all filled... Set them in another binder and make some more!
This is gorgeous!!
I love the Streaks you did an awesome job.
You can use sandpaper to bevel your edeges too. WAY easier than using a blade if you don't own an edge bevel tool.
It turned out so gorgeous!! 😮👌🏼 I really love the dark stain and small size. 💜 I want to make one of these but I have way too many sketchbooks to justify making another! 😂😅
HECK YEAH bookbinding videos! I thought about making a fabric insert for mine, sewn down the middle and with zippers on both sides to make two pouches for art supplies.
How to cut matboard postcards
Howdoyoucitpostcards from matboard
you can also use a damp sponge to wet the edges for burnishing if you don't want to use spit 😊
Awesome video. This is random but what lip color are you wearing? it looks awesome on you.
it looks so beautiful, girl! well done!
"I have an endless supply of my own saliva..." Quote of the day.
you did an awesome job. Thanks for sharing.
This is gorgeous!!! You did a great job! And I don't notice the streaks at all!
Aw, thanks so much!
Hi, wonderful DIY thank you for your video. How thick is your leather in this video?
This turned out fantastic!
So pretty!
Beautiful
great job
to use resolene: use a cello sponge and rub it on in a circular motion, do not dunk! rub it in really good and buff with an old cotton sock or lambs wool i've been using resolene for years and love it, plain water will burnish your edges without sharing your dna with everyone.
You can stick several notebooks under the same elastic thread. Open the notebooks in the middle, put them on top of each other and stick them under the elastic band. :-)
It look good !
Great job!
Gorgeous!!
Where did you get your leather?
great job!!
I tried to make one but I think I didn’t do the string right cause it’s pretty lose and I’m worried about the booklets falling out
Could you write down the mediums You used, for the most part they´re clear to me but example that stuff you used to condition the leather after staining, can´t figure out how it spells? This may sound silly question for you, but I´m not natively english speaking.
where do people find leather and what weight of leather does everyone use?
I love this!!!
I looooved it tfs
Excellent Job love it 😍
Thats so awesome. 😁😁😁
I covered it tfs.
How about a Doctor Who journal? :D
You also could have just used water instead of your own saliva.
Does that work as well? I read that there's something in saliva that helps it burnish correctly... I'm going to feel pretty silly if straight up water works just as well, hahah 😅
Ive seen a video here on youtube and they compare a few different chemicals that are suggested for burnished edges and water. They all looked the same. I cannot remember who made the video. Love the look of your notebook.
Some people also use Saddle soap too.
Holy moses gurl just use tap water. LOL
