Saw them in the paramount theater in Seattle. Living Colour played with them. Was in the upper bathrooms and bunch of nice guys offered me my first lcd laced smokes. First and last but a fun show. I think i was 17. Always tons of good show in seattle at this time.
So glad to see a reaction to Bad Brains. I lived in a DC row-house where we hosted them in our living room back in their banned in DC days. What they lacked in commercial success, they made up for with long-lasting influence. They influenced Nirvana, Black Flag, Beasty Boys, Madonna, The Cars... Dave Grohl (Nirvana, Foo Fighters) has nominated them for the rock hall of fame.
Harley Flanagan basically said they were the definitive embodiment of punk or something to that effect. He grew up going to their shows in CBGB back in the day and that they were a driving force in his music as well.
