This game is the first to regularly send chills down my spine when this song hits just at the right moment, the gameplay is SO SATISFYING!

It's so messed up what they did to his wife. I often wondered if she was still in there somewhere, forced to watch helplessly as the robot body containing her uploaded consciousness attacked and nearly Game Over'ed the love of her life.
The DLC indirectly makes it clear that the consciousness of Catherine (the protagonist's wife) is loaded onto a separate medium, and parts of her body are embalmed in a neuropolymer. And the twins are Sechenov's attempt to recreate the body for Ekaterina, but her consciousness is not there yet.

really solid gameplay and story imo. P-3 and his wife used to be entirely different people before a horrific accident during a mission. Our main character used to be a very happy and nice man according to *Babushka* , but all we really see of him is a very angry and short tempered personality.
I mean, it makes sense, dude doesn't know anything other than the fact he's a soldier and it isn't until he has that weird dream that he starts remembering flashes of his past life. What's more hurtful is the fact the granny knew what they did with her daughter and couldn't do anything to save her from their existence as assistants/killers/bodyguards
