Not one to make excuses for Holliday as I’m not even an orioles fan, just enjoying watching the new prospects highlights, but he’s kinda gotten the rookie treatment hard on some of these backwards k’s that I’ve seen. I mean just some bad calls that’s shouldn’t have been close
he's going to be susceptible to those calls until he starts shooting the ball the other way. which he probably will. likely they'll send him down after a short MLB stint with a long list of things to work on for the next call-up

I cannot believe they let Rodriguez pitch that long. Shouldve taken him out after those first few runs. Notice how the Angels stopped scoring once they did.

With a team as good as the Os every game matters in this division . We are no longer in the rebuilding process so send the kid back down to get his confidence back
That's not gonna help him develop though. Both he and the organization know he can crush Triple-A pitching. That's not gonna help him get comfortable with major league pitching. You gotta let him go through his struggles because he's never done it. He's never had to bounce back. Learning to fail is important. At this point, he's not costing us games.
@xavierrobertson2871 He's seen major league pitching his entire life , he's grown up in dugouts and clubhouses. He's not even making contact at the plate so he needs to go back to find his swing , relax and not stress . He's gonna be fine . We can't keep watching him LEARN how to fail as you say when there's other players more deserving to play and be proactive
Are you trying to say that sitting in the dugout/slash stands as a kid means he should be able to stand in the batters box and mash at 20 years old? He's just pressing right now. Feeling the pressure. Once he calms down and starts working counts he'll start making more contact. I'm not 100% against sending him down if he struggles too too much longer, but doing it this quick may have the opposite effect on his mental. Besides, who is he taking at bats from? Mateo doesn't play against right handers. Urias has been far more valuable off the bench. Westburg still plays every day. Any other name you can bring up would have the same learning curve as Jackson.
@@xavierrobertson2871 You forgot to mention slash Bullpens . I'm an Orioles fan of over 50 years and don't want this kid to fail or have to deal with the embarrassment of being sent back to minors , but a decision needs to be made real soon

Oh please, they DFA'd a relief pitcher and Tony Kemp. And Mounty is hurt. Not bad enough to go on the DL but that's why hasn't played the last two games.
What does “DFA’ing” mean?
Stop it. He's 20, and has never failed before. Sending him back down to AAA to go back and dominate AAA pitching does nothing to help him get adjusted to MLB pitching. They're not sending him down unless he goes 0 for his next 50 or gets injured. And even at 0/50 it's unlikely he gets sent down.
