My aunty used to make exactly this type of dal gosht she is no more, we use to miss the taste of her handmade dal gosht.... But whn I made ur receipe all family members compare mine dal gosht wid hers....this was really a big compliment for me tht I achieved my aunties hand taste... Thanks a tonnnnnnn........
this dal is awesome!! just prepared it and loved it. i excluded the tamarind as we dont prefer and instead increased tomatoes... will squeeze a few drops of lemon before serving. Thank you so much for sharing such an easy and simple yet tasty recipe! 🤗

Yes! you are right it's dalcha which is a hyderabadi dish. Dal gosht will not have tamarind and also dal not grinded.
It is called dalcha in hyderabad but in Mumbai we call it gal gosht and she literally made dal gosht the way i make at home
