Clarification on game setup they missed : On the rule sheet displayed at 14:06 , step 3 says after you put the suspect, weapon, and room in the envelope, you are to then reveal the next 2 room cards. These are to be set aside, so you can give each player an equal number of cards.
I think I'm gonna purchase a jumpstart 2022 box for my playgroup specifically for ravnica clue nights. 😅 I know some might think it would be a waste, but I think it would be fun. 😊
Thanks for making this video. I was curious about this product, but not curious enough to buy one outright. Now I know, and knowing is half the battle.
The rules do actually state for you to remove two room cards, reveal them to all players, and then you shuffle and deal out the evidence cards. Edit: The last sentence of Step 3 under Setup. Visible at 14:06
Huh, I guess they didn't decide to include the Revolver with this set... But I guess it got swapped out with the Secret Passage? Still shifts the balance a bit, since now you have 5 possible weapons and 10 possible rooms (8 if you reveal the two room cards at start).
I would want to replace the Secret Passage Clue themed land with a card like Elegant Parlor land from the MURDERS AT KARLOV MANOR ,as the Secret Passages on a standard Clue gameboard are actually shortcuts between opposite corner rooms rather than potential playable crime scenes to be guessed as one of the clues in the regular game.
You're guaranteed everything you need to play Clue, so the suspects, weapons, rooms, and the general stuff like the notepads etc. You only get 8 of the 20 different "Jumpstart" packs in a box, so you can't get all the new cards with just a box. As for legality, the suspects, rooms, and new cards are eternal format legal. The weapons are standard legal since they're in MKM and the reprints in the "Jumpstart" packs are legal wherever they're legal.
Ya I noticed that too, although I think only the rares were normal multi color all the common and uncommon multi colors were hybrid it seemed. I think it's not bad how they did it, if the colors in each pack were split 50/50 and you ended up with a 4 color deck it probably wouldn't work out very well.
I clicked on this video after watching oldschoolmtg's video and it looks like your box was way better than his. Oldschoolmtg got hosed! He opened 3 Simic Combine packs. So yeah, there is some risk in opening this product. Worst case scenario is that you open the same pack three times.
I went back and looked but didn't see you flipping it up, was the Mustard then a misprint? Also, some of the uncommons are new, let us not forget them, some are sweet.
@@MTGNorth You noted it was upside down and the rest were right side up but when you were going through them, the front was not upside down. Alternatively, i woke up an hour ago and haven't had coffee yet.
Askrias just unboxed a Cluedo one with 3 dupe Dimir packs and 2 dupe Rakdos packs (ua-cam.com/video/dle7da8BmZM/v-deo.html) Half his kit was dupes... these look like a hard pass....

This product gave me a raging clue.

Thanks for making the vid! Bummer that you can get the same house multiple times.
But I like the variant. Looking forward to trying it out

As a clue enjoyer I can safely say that not all players have the same amount of clue cards and that's the way it is.
I bought two of these and BOTH of them had Temple garden as the box topper!

Ir was Professor Plum in the Library with the Lead Pipe! Got em!

LoL, Morgan was so confident about the card legality in the beginning...
The triangle at the bottom does not denote legality, it just denotes that the card is from a universes beyond product
I was wondering how you would incorporate clue into a jumpstart game. I've always had fun playing clue. I may pick one up.
pretty cool in my opinion, down the road bet these age very well
Haven't really purchased MKM, but after watching this video, I got one of these. Mainly for the shock land, lol
Do they not know many legal cards such as universes beyond have that triangle hologram? Lotr? 40k?
Great video guys awesome awesome. Lol 😂 you guys always buy them just for the box topper😂😂😂😂 I wish I was that brave
I wish they could have added the 6th weapon for this product. Then I could use them as replacements for my Clue game at home.
Nice video! Was wondering what was in the box
The game play seems cute. I’m willing to try it out if I can find it for 50ish bucks.
Honestly very simple to play, using commander decks will be fun
So in a Cluedo box do u get all the Cluedo collection cards ? And so these are only legals in legacy, vintage, and commander right ?

So noticed you only get one colour of basics per pack. Likely not a big deal but you have to rely on duel lands or a rock to cast the other colour

crazy miss with the uneven amount of cards...😂
So let me get this straight, it comes with 8 jumpstart style decks but all the decks are in every box. And we get the same clues/investigate lands?
The jumpstart decks change per box, I think there’s 50 different ones? Same clues and investigate lands, yes
Yes the original game had players with more cards than others.
So it's like Jumpstart where you take 2 packs and put em together?
Correct
I went back and looked but didn't see you flipping it up, was the Mustard then a misprint? Also, some of the uncommons are new, let us not forget them, some are sweet.
Commander Mustard? Don't think so, why?
@@MTGNorth You noted it was upside down and the rest were right side up but when you were going through them, the front was not upside down. Alternatively, i woke up an hour ago and haven't had coffee yet.
Nope. Half of the clue pile was upside down. They all flipped so mustard wasn't misprint upside down with the back.
Where do you find cool stuff like this ? Or like the planes walker advent calendar
hey Doopin! Clue Edition will hit shelves at all game stores on Friday, Feb 23
@@MTGNorth thanks guys, you’re the best
I really like the idea of this being I like clue. But the price tag seems absurd
Nice product, another one onely in english tks
Wait a minute, where's the revolver?
sad we dont get a german version -.-
pringle lands nooooo
Does the double packing makes it that expensive??
no way that works with commander. it would take forever to find the cards
Askrias just unboxed a Cluedo one with 3 dupe Dimir packs and 2 dupe Rakdos packs (ua-cam.com/video/dle7da8BmZM/v-deo.html) Half his kit was dupes... these look like a hard pass....
These are legal in all formats
As always, cards are MP condition right out of the pack, sad.
Wizards QC is garbage lately.
This sounds fiddly and obstructive,
Where as the LoTR offshoot game was fun and simple.
I'd rather just play planechase
Good vídeo, userfull. The product sucks
