The reason 50 titled it Ghetto Quran was because the real Quran tells stories of different people an 50 was telling stories about his hood Southside. The lyrics of this song was in a newspaper article an when the cops approached 50 about it he told them, 'look at the lyrics'. 50 was repping the people in his hood an ppl took it as him snitching. For people saying he got shot over this, its false. The original song even had Supreme talking at the start co signing the song saying “this is our Quran, our history.” The song was done in 98, 50 got shot in 00. He got shot because he disrespected Preme when he told him to back off Ja Rule, because Preme was going to use Murder Inc for money laundering (similar what BMF was doing with Blue DeVinci). Also one of 50s best friends was E Money Bags, who had a long running beef with Preme and Prince, he even tried to kill Preme. Thats what got 50 shot, not a song. Music was something on the side, 50 been in the streets since he was 12, all the OGs in Queens knew about Boo Boo, the music shit got him shot because it originated from the streets and money.

@@ki11atj49 it's New York street slang. Go listen to GET RICH and his music b4 it. He uses it all the time. I wasn't saying, him not using the word actually led to the decline. I was just using it as an example. His ferocity/hunger declined the further he got away from his roots. Which you can actually notice by his dropping of street slang in his music. He wasn't around it anymore. So it wasn't a part of his speech anymore. Which translated to it not being in his music anymore. It was just 1 example of many. Dun being another 1. "If I get bail, don't put the crib up dun, cause if 50 gets free, 50 gonna run" That's all I was saying.
These guys are not in their 20's anymore. Why people expect rappers to sound like they did at 27, 28 is ludicrous. 50 prime is done. He ain't hungry anymore, he did what he set out to do.

Definitely dry snitching. Preme was the businessman? Definitely didnt own any businesses so basically his business is drugs. Prince is the killa is self explanatory. Even told what car they was driving in that could be linked to a murder.
This song has an eerie feel to it, I’m not sure if it’s due to it possibly being the reason he got shot and could’ve died or what, as much as I love it, still feels different from most of his other songs!

I am talking about what the guy above said about "click clack officer down" or something like that. The song he is referencing is in the Get Rich or Die Tryin' movie. That song was written for the movie, but the character 50 plays in that movie gets shot for that song.
Damn hella confusion
one of his many legendary songs
Im about to read the Quran. I started to believe in a creator back in i was 14. After truely believing and praying God answered and gave me things i prayed for that i rrly needed and it was a Great friend.
Its weird to think we come from nothing, than before that? I think God created this for us, like a school. A test. If u succced u get into heaven with no suffering anymore. Or u start again as a another animal. Depends what u done for actions that could affect the result.
Thank u lord
Djvlad interview w Yayo brought me here for some memories. Rap Hip/Hop will NEVER be as good as it was in the 90’s and early 2000’s.
This and Window-shopper are 50’s best songs
I just realized I'm not a gangsta after listening to this
Jedediah u never was buddy
@@californiakev1071 neither are you buddy
Why would anyone want to be?
@@FaceSilence sometimes they have to be not want to
@@FaceSilence then there are those wanna be gangsters that want to feel cool, perfe t example is souja boy. Biggest pussy ever thinks hes a blood or some shit
Warren G would sound epic singing that hook
Still my favorite 50 Cent song to this day
This joint never gets old !! One of fitty's great
How can this be snitching when everyone in his song went to prison years before the song and the rest are dead. If someone makes a song about how Big Meech was pushing weight. It's not snitchin because Meech is already in prison doing time for the crime.
False. Meech didnt no time for no drugs but i get you
Are you young ?
I heard from some video that Preme thought/knew that someone was still active and started the whole cancel 50 thing.
Not sure who, there were so many names i only remember Preme and Slim(not shady).
Pretty sure Preme serves life for multiple murders.
I am going off of memory here so take it with a grain of salt.
Corley wall didn’t get popped till 2012 lol I still like the song tho
@@theeliteclan2217 meech was on video talking about his business, didnt say drugs but everybody knew what he did
50 was cutting edge with the singing hooks
50 made timeless music this still jam in 2022💯💪🏾
50 need to go back hungry. His bars was nice as hell when he was hungry
as soon as he stopped saying Pa he fell off.
@@mathewkeen2356 huh
@@ki11atj49 it's New York street slang. Go listen to GET RICH and his music b4 it. He uses it all the time.
I wasn't saying, him not using the word actually led to the decline. I was just using it as an example. His ferocity/hunger declined the further he got away from his roots. Which you can actually notice by his dropping of street slang in his music.
He wasn't around it anymore. So it wasn't a part of his speech anymore. Which translated to it not being in his music anymore.
It was just 1 example of many. Dun being another 1. "If I get bail, don't put the crib up dun, cause if 50 gets free, 50 gonna run"
That's all I was saying.
These guys are not in their 20's anymore. Why people expect rappers to sound like they did at 27, 28 is ludicrous. 50 prime is done. He ain't hungry anymore, he did what he set out to do.
@@chillvibed um Eminem
I'm very very very late to the party
But this song is AMAZING
Bumping my head over and over again ❤❤❤
This is actually one of my fav 50 songs of all time.
that's some serious old school rap! love it
July 2019 and I am still listening. I remember that this was my favorite cut right away and it hurt me to hear people say that he was dry snitching when I thought he was paying homage to real Queens Gangsters that many of us from the hood knew, or knew of; maybe that's why I love this song so much.
Sandra Brown Did u grow up in south side?
Definitely dry snitching. Preme was the businessman? Definitely didnt own any businesses so basically his business is drugs. Prince is the killa is self explanatory. Even told what car they was driving in that could be linked to a murder.
The beat the voice the lyrisism the realness 50 is a real g
💯
2023 got to be the year for spotify
This song has an eerie feel to it, I’m not sure if it’s due to it possibly being the reason he got shot and could’ve died or what, as much as I love it, still feels different from most of his other songs!
This song just makes me respect 50 even more than I already did, pure talent in this song. Fuck his haters this is the best track since pac!
I just came here after listening he evolved Mixtape, Then heard about his controversial Song, Came to know did he disrespect the religion, but no he is the Man, he just mentioned about his life, Respect!😊
Love you 50th
2022 man ill always listen to 99-05 50 songs
This is by far the hardest rap song you will ever hear in your life
This whole snitching thing in this track wasn't even a thought when it first came out... Amazing what years that passed by will do to some things.
Certified his 1# banger of the list. Att: A 27 years old moroccan man who grew up in Barcelona. 50 and Em was our childhood as well as yours fellow north-american humble hood brothers.
This is story telling not snitching , you can’t snitch after a bid is done or a mf convicted and shit .. y’all don’t know greatness if it hits you and this a perfect example of that this song 🔥
🤦♂most of the dudes he spoke of was free back then. tf is you talking about?
@@jsharps1000 no they wasn’t.
@@TheBg29st yes they was
@@TheBg29st but you're kind of right. some of them was already in prison for life.
