Great lessons. He's right. Be careful being this reliant on others. Don't be mentally "weak" like the brother was initially. Alhamdullilah he realized that he was like a zombie for the Shaykh. You have to grab your Islam and use teachers for guidance. You still have to use your own BRAIN. It's safer. Especially if you haven't studied the foundations of the deen yourself. You need to understand your deen and keep a bit of distance in your heart because you could potentially follow a "Shaykh" into shirk. Be careful people.
Oh yes. Thank you for sharing. Your analysis is very similar to mine. I was also connected with another Khalifa of this same "Shaykh". Alhamdulillah my spouse and I also walked away in 2016. And Alhamdulillah we are grateful to Allah swt for everything... All the lessons learnt.. All the khayr that Allah swt Himself Brought out of all the mess.. SubhanAllah... PRAISE BE TO HIM.
I don’t think you can generalise tariqas, this is a example how one can use this system to exploit people, but a real shaykh and tariqa would never act against sharia. If a shaykh acts against sharia he ist not a real shaykh..
It's crazy how many groups out there do this. TMOA is EXACTLY the same. May Allah pull back the vail that is over theirs eyes and heart, so they can see the truth and free themselves of the TMOA/MG garbage they have been "tought."
Sura Sidi I also have experience with the cult of TMOA. The story by this brother is so similar. So much abuse and transgressions. May Allah ﷻ protect us.
God bless you. It seems to be more and more common the more people who are traumatised and vulnerable seeking a true spiritual path. And vulnerable doesn't mean weak, just means we have purity of heart and other people take advantage of that, especially if they see we also have spiritual or financial power. Thank you for speaking up about this, as we all need to know about the truth behind the spiritual orders and cults. We each deserve this. I had similar experiences but with someone who was a former Muslim and she convinced me to step away (although it was also my choice). It was a cult, and dark magic and jinns had also a huge part to play. We disempower ourselves entirely. I have also found similar people with mental health problems who are highly psychic and able to read ones akashic records, etc and it's easy to get ungrounded. I haven't yet found a tariqah I trust, to be honest. They also give love and support, which we all are craving all the time. I pray that we all connect to Allah directly and also learn discernment on our spiritual affairs. Our souls are sacred and we don't have time or energy to waste on people who lie and abuse other humans for control and power. Thanks so much for this channel! Duas 💕
honestly not taking anything away from him but from a logical prospective. Why put yourself in a position such that you ask your sheikh what type of hair cut to get. Why would anyone put themselves in that position
To all those asking who he's talking about, he's not gonna say. How do we know for sure its not all made up. If you are exposing something name names. You say it doesn't matter who it is, well it does matter
You felt like leaving Islam because of some stories you heard about your Shaykh who you followed over 9 years? What kind of weak emaan do you have? What proofs have you seen to affirm the “scandal”? I’m sorry but from your story you did not seem sincere in your journey. You seemed to just wantED everything to run smoothly after joining a tariqa but this is not the understanding of the sufis. Your whole outlook is completely Incorrect. To think this experience made you completely reject the idea of having a shaykh is ridiculous.
Powerful!....Spiritual abuse is beyond heartbreaking...Allah is most POWERFUL and gracious to protect us!
Thank you for sharing your story. You are brave and genuine to think of informing and protecting others. Allah have mercy on us.
Abuse walks on such a thin line that victims can't even see it untill they feel enough is enough.

Who is this "Shaykh?"
Alhamdulillah you were guided away from that cult. Unfortunately many muslims are stuck in similar Sufi cults.

wow.. this is so important

I agree that it does matter. Plus it will help people avoid falling in the same trap.
End of the day you have to think for yourself.
be a solution to the problem instead of being a part of it.
What Tariqa is that?
Which Tariqa is this?
