The highlight of this video Christy drinking her bottle Pellegrino from a straw. Kinda reminds me of the Seinfeld episode where people are eating a Snickers candy bar with a knife and fork.
Christy's, "Come on Alonso, talk me into it" re: The War on Grandpa is so lovely. You can tell she really values his opinion. I definitely see her "argue" a bit more when they vary wildly on a movie. Like she wants him on her side.
The 10 Worst Movies of 2020: 10. Fatal Affair 9. Coffee & Kareem 8. Stardust 7. 365 Days 6. Artemis Fowl 5. Desperados 4. Secret Society of Second Born Royals 3. Brahms: The Boy II 2. The Kissing Booth 2 1. The Wrong Missy
Among the ones they mentioned, I've only seen HUBIE HALLOWEEN (0/10), THE WRONG MISSY (0/10), DOLITTLE (1/10), ARTEMIS FOWL (3/10), COFFEE AND KAREEM (3/10), A FALL FROM GRACE (4/10) and A BABYSITTER'S GUIDE TO MONSTER HUNTING (5/10)
Matt's list: A Fall From Grace Artemis Fowl Capone Coffee and Kareem Doolittle Love Wedding Repeat True History of the Kelly Gang Valley Girl We Summon the Darkness The Wrong Missy +1 Guest House Alonso's additions: Love Weddings and Other Disasters Songbird Fantasy Island Antebellum Hubie Halloween Superintelligence Irresistible Christy's additions: Babysitters Guide to Monster Hunting Chick Fight Like A Boss The Secret: Dare to Dream The War with Grandpa
“Artemis Fowl,” “Capone,” “Dolittle,” “A Fall from Grace,” “Fantasy Island,” “Hubie Halloween,” and “Songbird” did make my top 10 worst list. I also included “After We Collided” and “The Grudge”. That being said, “Jiu Jitsu” is one of the worst I’ve seen in my life, and contains some of the (unintentionally) funniest CGI I have seen, when it comes to this level of production.
It is a psychological tell for me in that I have decided to watch this video first rather than the "Best Movies of 2020". Also, beside needing therapy, I could use a few laughs. Thank you Christy, Alonso and Matt for hanging in there for all of us.
at this point TYLER PERRY is like ADAM SANDLER for me...straight up guilty pleasure. A FALL FROM GRACE was soooo bad it was good, I could not stop laughing, everything from Tylers lack of educating himself on the law before doing this movie, the bad editing, the bad acting, the lousy make up and the most plot holes waaaay before WW84 came out...the movie was just laughably BAD and he DOES NOT GIVE A SHIT!!!, you know at least with Michael Bay once in a while he will put out something (somewhat) decent and you get a lot of sexy woman and explosions in his movies...But Tyler, this dude has to be the worst director out right now. The man has to do everything himself, write his own screenplays, direct his own movies, act in his movies, edit his movies and he is clearly not good at any of them. TP is at his best when he has small roles in movies like STAR TREK where other people are in control.
You all should see Buddy Games if you haven't already. It makes The Wrong Missy and The War With Grandpa look like Bringing Up Baby and His Girl Friday by comparison.
Tenet is probably the most expensive ($200 million) bad movie with good production values ever. But the ridiculous reverse entropy, time inversion story ruined it. Surprised it wasn't at least on Alonso's list. OMG, forgot Wonder Woman 1984! Just saw a clip on youtube. Unfortunately it also is another big budget movie that was terrible. (And I subbed HBO Max just to watch it.)
So did I. Fun movie with a great cast just having fun. Light hearted comedies are a rarity and therefore I think they get overlooked as trivial and meaningless. It's silly fun and everyone I know that saw it really enjoyed it.
What the hell is you guys' problem with The Wrong Missy? It was the biggest Netflix hit for the first half of the year. It was a pretty good comedy, and a breakout role for Lauren Lapkus.

I’m thrilled to say I’ve seen none of the films on your lists! Taking that as a win.

I’m so so thankful for these three in my personal film critic pantheon... one year strong besties!

I actually like Antebellum. I thought the messenge superseded the filmmaking.
Christy Lemire Fan Club!
Needed this kind of content as a break from the dumpster fire that is our country
Tenet is probably the most expensive ($200 million) bad movie with good production values ever.

on Alonso's list.
OMG, forgot Wonder Woman 1984! Just saw a clip on youtube. Unfortunately it also is another
big budget movie that was terrible. (And I subbed HBO Max just to watch it.)
Pauly Shore has made so many bad movies not surprised Guest House made it here.
have fond memories of reading those Artemis books as a kid, happy to not sully that by watching the movie
One terrible one they miss (& others lists I've seen) is Survive The Night. That's my #1 worst of the year.
I agree with Matt. Fantasy Island was bad but it wasn't awful...
I hated Hillbilly Elegy and After We Collided (watched it for the meme)
Tessaaaa.....
I've seen none of these movies
The War with Grandpa has 80+ audience score on rotten tomatoes. Audiences clearly liked it!
So did I. Fun movie with a great cast just having fun. Light hearted comedies are a rarity and therefore I think they get overlooked as trivial and meaningless. It's silly fun and everyone I know that saw it really enjoyed it.
History of the Kelly gang doesn't deserve to be here it's really good and in my opinion one of the best of the year not the worst
Happy new year to u all 🎉🎉🎉
Yeah Guest House with Pauly Shore was awful.
yass
No mention of 365 Days or The Murder of Nicole Brown Simpson??
Wasn't Murder of Nicole Brown Simpson from a couple of years ago?
@@Philbert-s2c I looked it up - it was released theatrically in January 2020. Though I agree that certainly feels like a lot more than a year ago.
Artemis fowl is my worst of the year
Fuck, I have the same Hawaiian shirt as Matt
Can we get posters of these films. Have no idea what films you talking about.
Worst 3 that I saw... "She Dies Tomorrow
", "Ava" and "The Invisible Man".
The Invisible Man was good.
I was surprised at how much praise She dies tomorrow actually got.
What the hell is you guys' problem with The Wrong Missy? It was the biggest Netflix hit for the first half of the year. It was a pretty good comedy, and a breakout role for Lauren Lapkus.
Happy Madison movies suck
And I predict that with time comedies with female protagonists who act in abway male ones can't anymore will be a trend.
Alfonso is really letting himself go.
