The dark skin kid is not fluently in Nihongo (maybe is a transfer student from China) and his classmate decides to help him overcome this issues by borrowing him comic, after the sensei realize that he wrote "Congratulation for able to finish a book" in Mandarin to encourage him.
Kah Chuan Koh That's cool! It could be playing on some sort of message about accepting those who are different. Japan is a very homogenous country, with not a lot of minorities, and apparently mixed race kids get bullied a LOT. The same probably go for students like this kid. (Japan's half-Korean population for instance gets some prejudice...and I guess the feeling goes both ways, because until quite recently Japanese CDs and manga were not allowed into Korea, because of the Koreans still having hard feelings about how badly Japan had treated them when they were occupying the country in the early 20th century).
Ahhh this makes sense, though this sun-burnt boy doesn't really look like Chinese to me, and his Mandarin has a really strong Japanese accent... lol I'm just being too serious.
The Overwatch and One Piece ones just seemed like completely typical trailers, they might have just been talking a little fast. I got the impression that that was Tracer's voice actor doing the Overwatch one, too. Am I missing something because I don't understand Japanese? I wouldn't really call the last one weird either (though maybe it would be if I knew what it was advertising) but I'm glad that one was included, it was just really nice. I mean read a manga, get a smart is a pretty straightforward concept, but it was pretty touching.
As a native Chinese and Japanese learner I would said that Kanji and Hanzi are 90% different, even though the strokes looks similar but the meaning is huge different. For example “勉強“ in Kanji means "Studying" but in Hanzi it means "Strained". Furthermore Kanji in Nihongo is very limited compared with Mandarin because Kanji is word that hiragana combined while Hanzi is independent word with 4 sounds (Pinyin). That's why the sensei in advertisement cant pronounce the written words because those words is not existing in Kanji and it's Hanzi itself
Seems to be a song they made for the ad. I found this website with lyrics and a longer version, but I couldn't figure out what the song is called. jplyrics.net/blog/docomo/
The site also says the song was written by Shimoda Michiharu from Silent Poets, though I myself know nothing about them, it may be worth checking, because he's the one responsible for the melody and arrangement
Capramare I assume it's the anime "Heidi Girl of the Alps" from 1974. Isao Takahata (of Studio Ghibli fame) directed it, and Hayao Miyazaki was also involved. It was part of the larger "World Masterpiece Theater" series, a series which showcases anime versions of famous works of literature. World Masterpiece Theater ran from 1969 to 1997, then went on hiatus, then restarted in 2007 and is still on. Sadly, very few of those series have been released in English. I have seen some of another World Masterpiece series, "Akage no An" (an adaptation of "Anne of Green Gables" from 1979), which Miyazaki also worked on. It's quite good, and pretty spot on to the book.
It was created just for the commercial. The raper is called 5lack (S.L.A.C.K.), in case you want to look for more of his works (you can find a few here on UA-cam).
6:33 is Pocoron dungeon, the puzzle game only in Japan. 8:21 is Yo-kai watch Puni Puni and this one have English one call yo-kai watch wibble wobble on USA. Also yo-kai watch is the famous anime in Japan that made social phenomenon on 2014.
Si, de la nueva peli: shin-godzilla.jp Pone シン·ゴジラ (Shin Gojira o Nuevo Godzilla aunque tambien se conoce como Godzilla: Resurgence en ingles) y debajo pone 大ヒット (Dai hitto o Gran exito) y 上映中 (Jouei juu o Ya en cines) (^_^)
The kid is chinese, so his clasmates gives some manga to help his japanese reading learning. After finding out he finished it ('完' means 'end'), the teacher writes 'Congratulations on finishing your reading' ('恭喜全部读完!') in chinese so he can read it. After it, he said it in japanese ('全完読はおめでとう!') so the class can understand it, the kid then answers with 'Thanks, tha was really interesting'.
I love how they exploit the fuck out of Heidi
Yeah, even the purple ad just before this did a job on Heidi! :)
The last ones always come with a story. Thanks JPCMHD!
it seems like a Chinese boy troubled with new life in Japan until Japanese kids made friends with him. idk
@8:03 so, Japanese women in a department store, playing rugby, with half a mannequin, to a Mexican folk song? that is a Japanese commercial all right.

Wow, such nice Kanji written with chalk. Seems almost impossible for me to do.
Kanji is Chinese characters. Only that the teacher is writing Chinese, not Japanese.
***** But still, they has the same strokes as their Kanji counterparts, right?
As a native Chinese and Japanese learner I would said that Kanji and Hanzi are 90% different, even though the strokes looks similar but the meaning is huge different.
